Instead of arc, solar, kinetic, void, strand, stasis targeting, loaders, etc.(crucible mods) can we not just get primary, special and heavy mods? Like primary targeting, special loader, heavy unflinching?
It’s so annoying that you have to wait for the map, then decide which weapons to use and then change all these mods to whatever weapons you will use.
Just make primary, special and heavy mods.
Edit: Or maybe even better to do light and dark mods where light cover solar, arc and void. And dark cover stasis and strand.

You could use loadouts that Bungie just put in this season. That way when you see a map you can just select that loadout.

5 AntwortenThat would save people a lot of effort and time. Something Bungie sadly doesn’t want.

Can we just get rid of reloader mods and perks and just have our weapons reload smooth and quickly like every other shooter known to man…

While this definitely would be a much welcomed change, I feel like splitting it up like they have forces us to be more mindful about what we're using and how we want to "buff" our guns with mods. That being said, I never change my armor mods for PVP, I have one set armor loadout and just put that on every time, and it only has kinetic weapon mods. PVP is also just not serious enough to worry about having things like aim assist mods or unflinching mods for most gamemodes. For trials, you already know the map, though for comp I can see there being little time to switch things around. To some extent, it's too simple for such a large pool of weapons to just make it weapon type based, and it fits with their seasonal themes where certain elements get focused. Though once we get more darkness weapons, I think some dark and light mods could be a cool addition.

Tbh not being able to adjust my loadout before the game starts is the major reason why I don’t play pvp. It’s boring for me to go in with one universal setup, weapons, subclasses… independently from the map or other players’ loadout. I get killed may be 10x by the time I’m ready. And that’s true even if I just want to switch weapons and related mods only. So thank you but no thank you. Plus let’s be honest, pvp is fun 5min, then it’s just predetermined spawn camping/trapping, terrible hit registration, broken lobby balancing, and way too long queue times. Not to mention the absolute pointlessness of farming pvp, other than lighthouse.

2 AntwortenYou mean to say you are not using graviton lance?

Bearbeitet von Olórin: 6/1/2023 1:01:57 AMWait, hold up this actually makes sense. We already have the exact same mods that do the same thing only difference is each are with certain elements. It makes sense since we're going to end up swapping up mods that all do the same thing, just simplify it with Primary, Secondary and Heavy. I know this is what we had previously but currently all the mods we have now have the exact same cost as one another, so its really no difference in a change only more convenient for the player. Im all for this.

It used to be like that, then mod 2.0+ came actually it was mod -2.0

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von AppleSoda: 6/1/2023 3:00:30 AMWell… there’s downsides to that too. With it the way it is currently, you can run mods that cover two (or more in very specific circumstances) weapons, allowing you to either save a mod slot or two or be able to have three of these mods applied for multiple weapons at once.

Instead of the time you have to play Destiny, spend a couple of days just crafting loadouts on Destiny Item Manager. It makes a crazy amount of difference when you’re playing the game to not have to worry about any mod switching. I strongly recommend it. The way you can set it up is upload your crucible loadouts when you want to play crucible. Upload your strike/nightfall loadouts when you want to play strikes. So on and so forth for any part of the game.

1 AntwortenI agree now trying out guns and different loadouts takes way too much time also because of the long loading time on consoles to even show the armor piece and being able to switch the mods. The loadout system works but its not enough space for variations. The current .od system hinders you when trying out ew builds and guns because you always need to take all the different stuff into consideration. I just like to tinker with guns and not run cloud strike immortal all the time( or gravitron which looks like new meta😐

Bungie seemingly wants to promote pairing weapons with subclasses, so you benefit hard if you’re running all solar weapons with a solar subclass - a lower cost harmonic mod has benefits for almost everthing you have on. I guess you cant have it both ways unless you want a broad ‘targeting’ mod for example.
-
100% agree, it is so unecessary, giving an illusion of depth to build crafting while being simply bad design ... Typical bungie ...
-
The system is fine but I feel like the mods are slightly over priced. Should cost only 2 mod slots for targeting, dexterity, and unflinching mods.
-
But what if yiur9running a particular subclass build that synergizes with weaponry? It's more economical to have it the way it is.
