SBMM sucks again!!
Return to SBMM is just hell.. SBMM that is done in way it basicly creates two pools is absolutely pathetic!

5 AntwortenI’ve honestly asked in other threads, but it just devolves quickly. Shouldn’t SBMM increase in difficulty as people progress. CBMM should just be inherently in place inside of SBMM to avoid fiber vs potato connections. Likewise, why does the convo always immediately go to trials is for the top skill PVP’ers, but the best of the best don’t want to match against each other? I can’t think of any form of competition that doesn’t match similar skill, belt, weight, etc. Even chess tournaments. A top 10% chess player would be insulted if matched with a lower/learning player. I’m open to understanding.

8 AntwortenCBMM is WAY worse. Because with CBMM, every match is just a handful of tryhards artificially increasing their KD as they stomp on more casual players. CBMM is and always will be complete and utter trash in D2.

Crafted a chattering bone and was excited to level up that and complete my catalyst for Tresspasser during IB - played one game and went straight back to my Adept Immortal after not being able to compete

I’m going to be honest… I am REALLY terrible, regardless if it’s sbmm or cbmm. It really doesn’t matter for someone like me. I’ll lose more often and do terrible in game regardless. One reason I’ve never attempted to play trials of Osiris.

8 AntwortenExactly how is it creating two pools. It literally makes hundreds if needed. Those who fit close to your skill level then pulls them based on connection. And does the same thing for every player based on who else is running the same game mode. This whole idea of easy games etc only works for those on top, those at the bottom every match is a sweat fest and moreso when they face significantly better skilled players.

Which ever matchmaking they do for COMP seems like the best way to go. It actually feels like opponent skill correlates to your performance. The comp point system is dumb AF, but matchmaking is good.

3 AntwortenPersonally, I enjoy sbmm as it does let me have those fun little moments of using new stuff against people of equal skill to try learn how to use them better instead of killing new players or less experienced ones and expect all encounters to be like that, but hey it’s more personal preference and how you treat sbmm
