Hi, first post here ever, never had a whole lot of problems with telling people "oh, ______ is bugged right now, bungie tweeted it ____ hours ago" or whatever but these problems really came to a head today when they disabled clans. I'm not a game designer but I know I've seen a few bugs get popup messages in-game (as well as Telesto pranks when it took over the game) but I think that the appropriate thing to do with this specific issue would be some sort of in-game notifications popup as well as the tweet. I'm the leader of a small (10-20 active members) clan of friends and LFG folks from raids and today I've been bombarded by DMs on Discord from people wondering if there's a bug to people genuinely freaked out because they thought I'd booted them for doing something wrong or something. I've updated our clan's Discord with screenshots of the Tweets but I think its fair to ask for a policy that if an IN-GAME feature or service is fully disabled there needs to be an IN-GAME message to address it. I realize this post may come off as angry or accusatory especially due to my use of CAPS in the title and content, please don't take this as any kind of insult or attack against you or any of your development team. I realize that a lot of what you guys do is well beyond my scope of knowledge much less something I could hope to do currently with my own small experience in IT and programming. This is merely a suggestion that could hopefully be acted on to spare players from future worries upon seeing 1/3 of their roster tab removed, along with their clan banner/clan tab.
