Im all for changes but changed shields on enemies from an actual shield to something that looks more like an aura is so bad in my opinion i hope you do not introduce it

I just like saying "aura". Don't know why but ever since reading this I've been running around the house saying it over and over and over again.

3 AntwortenThe new shield looks like something a high-schooler would do with cropping a glow around something, it just looks terrible.

10 AntwortenYes! I posted too! -blam!- these new immersion breaking shields! A 2D generic sprite? Wtf Bungie? Is this Doom(1996)? I like bisque shields for unique combatants. Stop catering to PC snobs! This change will make it easier to hit 120fps but considering the human eye can’t see the difference above 90 who cares? I’d geno-cide pc gamers if I could.

1 AntwortenThis change is something so trivial that it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

3 AntwortenMore than two posts about this. I guess people can really take anything and complain about it. Can't wait to see the posts about rock textures next.

Eyes up guardian, the -blam!- are coming....

Working on visuals when gun zoom bug is still running around

Honestly it looks like a bug they were to lazy to fix

1 AntwortenOh yeah, they just showed a what if concept. Its already in the game and will be applied with the next weeks patch. Out of all the things you could complain about, this is pretty petty.

It's a shieldo

3 AntwortenI mean , is it really that important outside of new players? Certain enemies have the same shield every single time, so I have them all memorized. As long as I can tell what the enemy is, I know what the shield is. Also, are the shields going to be up the whole time until they're popped, or will they disappear after they've been full for a bit, like they do now?
-
1 AntwortenMan, they just have to break anything good that isn't broken, don't they?
-
1 AntwortenYeah I don’t really understand how that change helps…but maybe it does. Who am I to judge
-
1 AntwortenI get and don’t get the whole accessibility thing. I want an explanation on why its so hard to recognize enemy shield shapes. And why can’t it just be added to the color blind settings for the game or is the engine not strong enough for that.
-
3 AntwortenIt does indeed look pretty bad. I quite liked the different enemy shields. Made sense for the different factions to have different looking shields. They're going through with it and there's nothing we can do.
-
I honestly don't see how this is accessibility-related, even though bungie said it was.
-
I mean shields in D1 were all the same. I'm not necessarily against the idea, but I don't really like that design. If the brought in an updated D1 shield sprite I'd be behind it. That said I don't really see the issue with what we have now. I'm curious about what inspired their direction for change

The new shield types makes me think the enemies are going super saiyan

Bearbeitet von IAGNRG: 5/19/2023 1:04:35 AMImo it seems like they’re trying to “standardize” the shields to be consistent for both accessibility, as well as being able to adjust them more easily. I think I prefer the unique shields for each faction.
