With Titan coming back it’s not deniable at all. That’s really it. Leviathan, The Farm, Titan we have numerous locations that “ couldn’t exist in the game because of performance issues “ or “ didn’t see enough engagement “ even though Bungie is solely responsible for the activities that drive engagement. Just another round about to re shuffle previous content and charge for it a second time. You really can’t make this stuff up.

Watch them resell the leviathan raid. Introduce champions and call it new.
-
Yep, now they have years worth of stuff they can sell back to us, if you can ignore the ethics of it , it's actually genius from a business standpoint
-
23 AntwortenOh I already knew it before it happened. But yes I agree. Such a shite move from a shite group of people. You would think they took a page from Phizer's book.
-
26 AntwortenCan we instead admit that reselling us vaulted content is a shitty thing to do but that Bungie has a valid point on the technical end? I mean, these aren't mutually exclusive positions, you know?
-
9 AntwortenDon't blame Bungie, blame Sony.

Bearbeitet von Corrick II: 5/15/2023 3:11:02 PMWe don't know if it'll be the exact same environments. If it is, then yeah, that doesn't make much sense to put back in the same assets that purportedly caused such a memory drain. If not, I imagine it's on the same planet but the assets and activities are new, and have been optimized to not be so memory and processing intensive. Which would be cool because... new stuff, right?

9 AntwortenBearbeitet von ZayOsiris Gaming: 5/14/2023 7:38:14 AMI’ll judge it when I play it. Just because a location might be returning as it’s former self, doesn’t mean the content within it isn’t new. I mean dāmn, we just saw an underwater image. Let’s temper our torches maybe — and save the criticism for after.

1 AntwortenBump this one guys. Need help.
-
12 AntwortenThese guys have nothing to offer anymore that they have to dig out Gjallarhorn from the grave, an 8-year old recycled gun, and then resell it to you again. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! These guys can’t do squat anymore to save their butts. Game is a complete mess. Empty and broken. Do you know what recycled products are made of? Garbage! If you claim to be playing recycled content, then you are literally playing garbage. Bwahahahahahaha!!! There is nothing here anymore.
-
2 AntwortenFirst thing I sayd when they anounced it. Unfortunately I was right.
-
11 AntwortenYou realise the returning content is always free right? The reprised raids and locations are free to access for anyone
-
Don't forget season of plunder being all reused locations. The lairs were vaulted lost sectors.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Witness: 5/14/2023 5:37:26 PMI truly was hurt when recluse was sunset
-
That's the least of the problems, everyone knew that would happen eventually, the game is so broken on many aspects
-
1 AntwortenIt would be nice to just blame it on their greed, but knowing how lazy this business has become since Activision dropped them like a bad habit. I got to give them credit where credit is do with their sloppy coding working off outside broken equipment from 2001 because they are too cheap to catch up to today's gaming. So it's actually a few reasons besides them being an untalented, uncreative, uninspiring developer. Just reused old crap because the new players won't have the slightest clue.
-
Some of it is because they don't know what to do when a location goes under a major change. The Farm is a good example. Look at how different it is. Don't get me wrong, I KNOW not just that there is a way, hut I know exactly how they can stop having to vault content. I'll post about it sometime.
-
Yes it was. That’s what bungie said when they did it. They were like the content will return later in a different form.
-
Yes and no IMO. Bungie has been reselling content going back to D1. On the same note we're seeing a lot of issues with the game lately as stuff has been added back to the game.
-
I don't have a view on this right now but I'm going on Youtube to see what the streamers say and I'll get back to you 👍

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Wanderer: 5/12/2023 8:43:55 PMI can imagine the meeting discussing ways to drive up purchases without having to create that much new content. Because they just couldn't keep up. They couldn't keep the game fresh. Destiny 2 is proof to me that Bungie just isn't cut out to be doing this kind of thing. I moved to warframe and sure people here will make fun of that, but it's just a stark difference between how one company approaches live service gaming to another. And one game is only 36gb.
-
I knew that when they did it, a lot of us knew it. But we still kept buying and playing anyway, we deserve what bungie is doing to us.
-
9 AntwortenI think the worst part is we know they’re doing this and we keep purchasing this “new content.” The destiny community truly are sheep myself included
-
11 AntwortenAnd go figure we all called that they were going to do this immediately. Then the shills, like below, said "you don't know... don't judge them until it's out". Everybody except Mr. Magoo could see it a mile away. Remember the D2 commercial where Cayde said "all new loot!", and that was the "reasoning" for destroying our vault. And then they just brought back 90% of the exotics. So yes, since D1 they've been doing it.
-
"now?" "Admit?" Hell, i've always said that. It's been clear from the start. Then again, I've been largely f2p for the longest so they aren't exactly selling me much.

Honestly, I think that the recycling of older content is partially about trying to continue to reinvent the same game around a developing long term story with a really vast array of characters, creatures, and races with their own dynamic plot lines. There are engineering drawbacks to having this game continue to grow and become more alaborate over time. I think the removal of the planets and campaign of vanilla D2, and also the Tangled Shore, allowed them to continue pushing the boundaries of their capabilities, adding in Europa, the Throne World, Neomuna, the Cosmodrome, and now Titan is returning in some fashion. When Mars returned it was a huge plot point. Start of Witch Queen. I'm excited to get passed the stink of the Lightfall Campaign and "The Veil". Bungie, please make this Veil thing make sense. Please.

How about wait until you play it before making any kind of judgment?
