I get it, Bungie doesn't like players sparrow flying and t-bagging through the strike playlist, but this is also the most basic, casual level content in the game. It's essentially the first non-story thing players will do, and I've seen plenty of new light players with default everything and all blue gear matched with me in my full 40-tier warlock build with enhanced perk crafted and adept raid weapons equipped. Of course strikes and most content are going to be easy for me, I'm at 95% of what the strongest guardian can possibly be.
Bungie needs to accept that they can't make Destiny "difficult" without also making it annoying and not fun. All they can do to an activity is give enemies moar health, moar damage, and moar champions. These changes don't even add much difficulty, they just make stuff take longer and be more annoying. Strikes used to be a 10 minute activity with 0% threat, now they're a 20 minute activity with 2% threat and worse rewards for the time investment. And champions should just be removed from the game entirely, just like basically everyone else says. All these changes do is bully new players for no reason. Even middling players are not seriously threatened by most things, but they have to grind more pointless power levels so they can be locked to -15 in an 1830 solo lost sector for no reason.
You didn't make the game more difficult. You made it more BORING.

1 AntwortenI disagree. One shotting everything with a primary and speed running through strikes as it was before was the least engaging fps experience I've ever had. Would much rather some actual challenge than braindead easy mode.

When the Mars Battleground master is harder than the raid contest mode that comes once a year - you know sth has gone horribly wrong with the game. A guy that just destroyed raid final boss with his team, using rat king only on day one, said the same thing on twitter.

Bungie is really trying my patience with this absurd difficulty change. I can accept many changes such as the meta, subclass, mods, etc., but making the game more difficult for the average player is a bad experience. A couple years ago I made the mistake of waiting for change during the LH and NF debacle in PvP. It took Bungie 8 months before they acknowledged the problem, and PvP has been neglected for years. I am not going to wait this long for PvE change. If Bungie does not reduce the difficulty within a month, then I am done for good with this game.

This is my standpoint. The game isnt more difficult, its just more annoying and tedious. They need to revert the changes to our outgoing damage so we can out-powerlevel the enemies like we used to, but keep the changes to our incoming damage so the enemies deal damage to us like they do with the current system.

4 AntwortenI don't get the difficulty moaners. Previous dlc's have always been a cake walk. I like it now. This DLC is a very poor one with many issues, however difficulty is not one of them.

1 AntwortenI finally had Hierarchy of needs drop, and I have to go run it at 1840 for the catalyst. Seems a bit unfair, everyone who got it done last season didn't have to be +40 over the hard cap. I'm sure I'll get it done, it's the point more than anything. +30 on the artifact is a lot more than +20 in terms of XP and time.

Play on regular or get better. But really fireteams are best for the entirety of Lightfall.

The suffering has to last a little for Bungie and Sony. And then... Sony will "convince" them to revert. The often called minority will get the difficulty decrease, and the Powerplayer a option to make it much more heavier.

Bearbeitet von BabyMoonArt: 3/11/2023 10:09:44 PMThe biggest issue is when someone like me wants to save upgrade modules for the set of armor at the end of the campaign, come to find out they're making the recommended difficulty 17XX and the enemies are invulnerable to 1600 attacks. That's dumb. It's worse on freeroam, though. 1810 on freeroam. By the time I finish the Legendary campaign I'll already be at powerful cap, swear to god. Overall though I like the Legendary Difficulty. It's not too difficult, not too easy. I recommend using Heir Apparent MG from the Guardian Games event (WITH THE CATALYST!) and Gjally RPGL (ALSO WITH THE CATALYST!) Both will do wonders when you need them.

You can never be more powerful than 1820 in any content in the game now Gear carrying “aka power level” is never a bad thing. It raises the floor for lower skilled players to be effective. All this has done is hamstring those players and make power level almost pointless If you can’t over level content (even to a degree) then levelling is pointless. It’s the entire point of levels in RPGs - to become more powerful If this is the route they’re taking they should have removed power levels altogether because all it does now is serve as a time gate for accessing content
