Calus is a -blam!- reskin of a colossus XDDDDDDDDD And on second phase he's reskinned gladiatior. -blam!-. The plot doesn't make any sense, and what the -blam!- is The Veil. Nothing makes sense, dialogue is idiotic and nimbus is cringiest piece of -blam!- character ever written my god. People who wrote this story are 12 max

Bearbeitet von Exileant: 3/7/2023 7:09:25 PMOn what you said about Nimbus, yes, he is dressed like a fruit, it makes absolutely no sense for anyone in a futuristic city as bold as as was delivered and yet they have defender armor as hideous, flimsy, or dated as that.... The landing, and "I need to delay and pose with every action." reminds me of Power Rangers, but the dialogue is alright, he sounds like a Zentraedi which I found cool. But Calus? He is Cabal. That would be like saying Exos and Awoken are reskins of humans and then being upset about that. Most of the characters are reskins. Remember the Heavy Frames? Re-skined Ogres on Exploder Thrall Programing. Still the tiny head Scythe Guys are wholly unique, so you have a new enemy to encounter. It is always darkest before the storm unless you have flood-lamps, so tolerate. Things will get better. They will get to the strait side of the universe eventually.

That I can’t yet comment on but with every new expansion comes the first mission or two where I get to use sunset weapons (until light level goes too high). So once again I rocked out my Kindled Orchid with Kill Clip and Rampage. I even got to use Recluse for a while. Ah…bliss.

The only decent part of the dlc drop imo is the soundtrack that’s it

5 AntwortenHaven't played the whole campaign yet but from what I've already played this is a far cry from the Witch Queen campaign. The thing that makes it so wrong is that this expansion doesn't have the Destiny vibe at all. Zero! When things should go darker, considering the part of the story we are going into, Bungie decided to turn the game atmosphere into something like a casual kid's game. I don't know what Bungie was thinking but this was a bad content design decision, IMO.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Antarius717: 3/1/2023 10:27:24 PMThis campaign is pretty bad. You go to a new planet and meet a whole new group of people and the main character for them, Nimbus, talks like a stoner college student. Who the hell approved this writing ? It’s like aliens from space showing up and they’re like “Sup MotherTrucker!” It wouldn’t happen. Write people from Neptune as if they’d never been to Earth, how would they have grown up, what’s their culture like, how do they talk ? This is just lazy writing and a story that makes no sense.

9 AntwortenOne takeaway I have tho is I hate Osiris even more now! That dude is pretty pathetic and annoying, seems quite dumb as well.

29 AntwortenYou're crazy. This campaign has been really fun. I don't know why so many people are hateful about bringing inclusivity into video games. It's not that big a deal, unless you are easily offended. Maybe grow up and learn about maturity and compassion. As for the campaign, end boss, encounters. All has been as good as can be expected. They put a LOT of artistic talent in this game, and have tried to revamp a majority of the buildcrafting process. It's fresh and different. Maybe people who complain like things to be the same so they don't have to think, because it's so hard to do when you're stoned out of your mind most of the day...but when you grow up, mature, have meaningful relationships, and move out of your mom's basement, you'll see what I mean.

Bearbeitet von James D Rook: 3/1/2023 7:41:39 PMWorst campaign in the game since before forsaken... Nimbus: Corny unappealing cringe caricature of a zoomer Nimbus Dad: He's so forgettable I don't even remember his name as I write this. Last Boss Fight: Complete and utter trash game design having piles of enemies 360 and psions who don't miss even if you use the stupid strand mechanic to swing around is beyond dumb. Everyone at bungie who participated in this should be ashamed of this it's a pretty decent let down to kick off the new expansion.

People who wrote the story are virgins pushing 40 identifying as 12 year olds...

2 AntwortenI can't believe I spent $65 to constantly have my powers taken away and be forced to fight 200 enemies with aimbot in a tiny room with a rotating wall of death forcing me out of cover every time I'm 1HP. Great DLC for sure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
I finished it and it's 5/10, if I'm being generous. Wow. Well done for the marketing, you really sold us a bucket of scraps for the highest of price. Well done indeed.

6 AntwortenI don't want to play this campaign again...I feel lost in the story, felt rushed, don't understand why things happened as they did?!? Like what, please explain
-
2 AntwortenWow….it isn’t often reddit agrees with us🤣. Bungie what did you do?!
-
4 AntwortenBungie put more effort into telling us Cloud Striders were non-binary than actually giving them an interesting backstory.
-
4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Desolator0: 3/2/2023 7:10:03 PMPretty bad storytelling. Not a single thing was explained to us, the player, about why we should care about Strand, what the hell "The Veil" even is, what did the Witness do to the Traveler, where's Eramis, why is Nezarec back when he got tbagged by Saint... etc... It's the exact same old bad Bungie storytelling leaving dozens of loose ends and telling us absolutely nothing of interest. I had zero reasons to care about anyone in Neomuna (who is even living here? NOBODY. THEY ARE IN THE MATRIX), none of the characters were engaging or enjoyable, and worst of all, Calus was a trash-tier, lame villain, and delivered a tragically lousy ending to a previously compelling antagonist.

1 AntwortenAnd here we thought Activision was the problem lol.
-
2 AntwortenWitch queen was much better, this feels like they cranked up difficulty to increase play time. Rather than provide interesting missions.
-
Yeah, and it drives me nuts that all this potential got Woke slapped to death.
-
Lol I can't believe I just did legend camp and only got the emblem because the missions bugged out and got stuck literally went to try to redo it solo and it seems to advance but just doesn't give loot drops after encounter and SHOUKDNT EVEN HAVE TO REDO LEGEND CAMPAIGN FOR LOOT AND STRAND IVE ALREADY DONE AND EARNED. Plus campaign seemed a lot shorter and definitely not great story hunters got huge L with strand in PvE

One can only hope that this train wreck hurts their profit margins. I will admit that I liked the part where our guardian told everyone to stfu and started giving orders. WE are the god slayers after all. 🤷🏻♂️

Same enemies since Destiny 1.

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Ferus Lux: 3/2/2023 7:50:15 AMForsakens ending and Shadowkeep exist. I would mention Beyond Light but I can't remember anything that happened in that campaign aside from the scene with Drifter, Elsie, and Eris. Lightfall was great my only issue with it is the Strand blue balls the game puts you through. I was like a crackhead looking for a fix whenever my character started glowing green.

Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 3/2/2023 1:28:01 AMYeah I expected more sadly should have known better. All glitz and glam on the trailers but hollow, rushed and lacking at release. For a mega city It sure seems rather empty.
-
3 AntwortenIt feels like a completely different game. Even looks different. Textures are gone.

What do you think happens when the leadership is more concerned about social issues vs the game? It’s not all bad but at this point waiting a year for answers is not something I’m willing to do and definitely not spending another 100 dollars to find out. All I can say is bungie better bring it narratively during the seasons.
