All these players saying “Dont do Hero or Up Your Skill” are all idiotic players who “love” to play the way Bungie intended versus how the player wants to play.
Anybody with a brain knows players can do higher difficulty activities but it does not mean it can be done at the leisure of the player.
Instead of bashing a player about why they wont do Master or GMs, the question should be is why is there no optional matchmaking or LFG in a game that has been running the same style of NFs for over 5 years.
If a player can run 3 hours worth of HERO NFs, there should be a way for them to run higher level activities as well.
Just lazy and saddening that the core systems are as ancient as the engine is.

Because after running thousands of hero nightfalls, I learned 1 thing. Most people are ignorant, stupid, or both. Seeing someone using a mod & the correct gun was like finding rocking horse poo. Some had mods, but the wrong gun, most had no mods, they either ran past champions or hid until I killed the champion, or shoot it & die several times. I ran a few this week years later, same issues. These people are incapable of running master content, why should we be forced to play with them, having to leave & start again over & over. MM isn't needed, this app has a fireteam finder, takes 1 min to get a competent group

I disagree. When players run no mods on difficulty that have Champions, they are playing a video game the way intended to be played by themselves and not by some standards others believe in. There is no rules saying you need to run Champion mods to play content. It is merely a recommendation. I have completed content without the need for Champion mods and defeated them, it simply takes much more coordination and planning. Champions mods are nothing more than ez mode handout requirements for players to play the game the developers want you to play to create artificial difficult. Destiny functioned way better when Champions were absence from the game and the legendary difficulty for the Witch Queen story showcased this to the max. The route Bungie is taking for the Champions should have been the route initiated during the launched of them. Champions were only used to give “elitists” players a sense of difficulty due to the boredom they created for themselves via the excessive use of “METAs”.

Nah, when I'm planning on running 50 nightfalls in a day I want to do them in 10 mins per run, not 20 bcoz some numbhuts refuses to help & dies or hides nonstop. Why drive to work in 5 mins, when you can walk in the rain and take 30 mins. Same logic you're expressing.

I play Destiny because it is a video game not because it is a job or chore. This is why I will always ask for optional matchmaking in game so I can turn it on or off when I feel like it. Not having the option or accessibility for play is a detriment for the game especially when it comes to retaining players. Using a third party LFG platform to play a video game is disgrace to gaming.

... There is a way. I run legend+ level content all the time, playing with strangers, without comms. I just replace matchmaking with a join code from the D2 LFG Discord server. EZ

I know it is easy just annoying to deal with when it can easily be solved further with optional matchmaking. Bungie brought optional matchmaking via a pseudo-Legend Nightfall during Guardian Games and it should have been left in the game as a QOL. Even if players were only able to do up to Master, it would help them trial and error their way for non-matchmaking GMs. I will never say content is hard in this game but the accessibility as a social game with many social spaces are lacking hard.

That legend nightfall was cool, only the 3 modifiers that make legend different from hero werent there. It was a hero nightfall in all but name. Tbch when I started running legends instead of hero, difficulty isn't much harder it's more about loadout management. The guys who typically run hero arent great at reading modifiers & working as a team.

I disagree. Players who run Hero nightfalls can do any content in the game, some just choose the difficulty to play “THEIR” way. Most of you make video gaming seem hard when it really isnt and some of you take it too seriously to the point to where it is more of a job and chore from a leisure for fun.

You aren’t good. You only have 20 raid clears and no solo flawless dungeons. Don’t be complaining about drop rates if you haven’t done the harder content that much

Your ego complex for gaming means nothing in the real world nor the gaming one. Those accolades are personal achievements and nothing more. The fact you are bragging about completing PVE content proves how sad you are when it comes to a fantasy world ie gaming. Whether someone completes the raid or PVE content one time or many grants no power or superiority over another, it simply means you wanted to do it more or you had the time and experience to pursue it. 😂😂😂😂😂 I mean are you getting paid for those levels of achievements??? Are you being written in some gaming history book??? Are you being idolized?? Probably not. So either respect the feedback I get or not, neither changes my thoughts and opinion on the matter because it isnt that serious or important enough to care. This is a video game, some of us play them for fun and a way to relieve stress from reality however players like you need a sense of accomplishment to make you feel important because your everyday life sucks.

They don't mean anything other than you like to solo and low man. No one from the general community cares at all. That's why the solo/low man/speedrunner community exists... So you can go flex on people who actual care.

That is a choice not a requirement. Nobody is forcing you to complete a raid with three players. How many checkpoints or hops do you have to do to gain access to a location for a 3-person raid approach?? If it isnt happening naturally then you are manipulating the system to play “YOUR” way. It is no different than someone playing Trials or Comp solo by forcing players to take a loss from leaving matches. Common sense is free.

Who spends time playing video games to use a cellphone?? When I am playing a video game, I am playing the game itself where it is Ie console. Another simple solution that should have launched with D2, “OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING”. Would have easily eliminated the need for a third party solution.
