Bungie, you should really take ideas from the likes of FromSoftware when they added this to Elden Ring:
• Added separate damage scaling for PvP.
This feature allows separate damage scaling for Weapons, Skills, Spells, and Incantations when playing against other players.
In the future, this feature may be used to balance weapons, Art, Spell, and Incantation in invading/PvP mode.
Balance adjustments made within this feature will not impact single-player and cooperative play.
Like tell me, just how many Exotic Weapons, Exotic Armours, Subclass Abilities, Aspects, Fragments and such have been nerfed or reworked all because they were too good in PVP, with these nerfs/reworks also ruining them for PVE?
If something is too good in PVP, just create a separate version of it, and have the game register this separate version whenever a player loads into the Crucible, Iron Banner or Trials of Osiris.
To name a few examples of the what PVP killed for PVE players:
• Whisper of Hedrons used to give a damage buff when slowing or freezing enemies, but got reworked into trash.
• Cranial Spike on Dead Man’s Tale used to up the damage on rapid precision hits, but got reworked to something utterly worthless in PVE, which actually really sucks for me ‘cause I loved the old version of this weapon.
• Gyrfalcon's Hauberk used to give a damage buff when coming out of invis, but the damage buff and Overshield got locked behind performing a finisher while Invis. Do you have any idea how awkward the setup for getting a finisher while invis is? Also, the Volatile Rounds are pretty trash since it only lasts for like 3 seconds, barely letting a player set up a loop with Stylish Executioner.
Bring back all the old, good versions of things you killed through nerfing and reworking in PVP, and implement a system that’ll register what activity the player is in, and decide from there which version of the perks and such should be used for said activity.
That way, PVP can never be responsible for so many good things being taken away from PVE players. PVP is actively killing so many things in this game, and I can definitely say that so many of us are tired of it. Nerfs and reworks meant for PVP should /NEVER/ bleed into PVE stuff, no matter what game a person may be playing.
TL;DR: Our equipment, abilities and such in the game should have two versions of their perks and such; a PVE version and a PVP version. If any tweaks need to be made, only one version gets changed instead of both.
Hell, if you /really/ have to, make Crucible, Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris and possibly Gambit as well they’re very own thing, like a separate instalment from the main game so then PVE and PVP could never interfere with each other again. Of course, I’m saying this as a sort of last resort fix to this major problem, if the other thing I mentioned can’t be done. Although, this would also lessen the file size of the entire game of Destiny, and allow more content to come out from the Destiny Content Vault. If this is done, have our character files sync between both instalments, allowing us to carry gear and rewards over between the both of them.
But ye, I am literally begging for a feature like this to be implemented, as it really is awful to see so much good, fun stuff get thrown to the trash ‘cause of PVP.
Another idea would even be giving Exotic Weapons /multiple/ masterworks that we can earn and swap between, giving Exotics more customisation options towards how they’ll perform.

They would look at the data, see 2 exotics being used more than the rest, then just nerf them simply because "we can't have that in our game now can we?" The way PvP should be set up in this game is: Flat base cooldowns on all abilities and flat baseline levels of resilience, discipline, etc. All armor mods and stats disabled (goes hand in hand with the above) No exotic armor a very small selection of Exotic weapons excluded. If Bungie wanted to differentiate the classes by say making Titans more resilient, Hunters move more quickly, and Warlocks have faster charging grenades or recovery (all just examples mind you, so don't @ me about my choices), then that's fine, but PvP should be as even as it can be in the name of fairness. PvE on the other hand should be where all the super power builds and OP exotics live.
