New to destiny 2 and need a hand!

Well, you do the intro for start. After that you have a lot of things you can do, Destiny is a: PVP/PVE-FPS-MMO-RPG-LOOTER/SHOOTER game. You can hop into the PVP modes and play some of those and you have a few options for modes. You have PVE such as Strikes, Dungeons, and Raids. Strikes are a fast 3-man activity that doesn't really require much. Dungeons and Raids you need a team or LFG in order to play, and can be long but they net really good gear. You can hop into Gambit, the strange basterd child of PVE and PVP, it isn't hard to learn and gives out some ok rewards, some people hate it some people love it. Its like a team game that doesn't require much teamwork. You can do the Campaign missions for DLC's if you like a long story and an easy way to level quickly, same with the season story. You can also just go explore, maybe find some lost sectors.

Welcome! Please enjoy both aspects of the game, that way you don’t become biased when it comes to PvP or PvE.

- get to the helm and go to the chest that says gift of the thunder gods as early as possible, it raises your power level to 1540, which is nice. it aslo gives you a free piece of exotic amour that works well with the arc subclass -get the legacy/legendary edition to get the most out of the game (but wait until its on sale- which happens quite often- and see if you click with destiny). this gives you all dlc except the most recent one so you can access pretty much all the exotics in the monument to lost lights (more on that later) -save up glimmer in order to buy subclass stuff, which can get quite pricey -once you start getting decent rolls on armour (big number with decent number on stat you want = good), start to keep an eye on what mods ada-1 is selling so you can make builds for more explosions/big numbers/immortality -if you buy the legendary edition unlock stasis by doing the beyond light campaign quite quickly (especially if youre planning on warlock stuff) -try to not use these forums that much because bungie barely see these posts (and this is very toxic compared to reddit or something) -every friday-tuesday, guy called xur comes. he has exotics and legendary items out for sale but for now pick up his quest called “xenology” to get an exotic cipher which you can use at the monument to lost lights. - the monument to lost lights is a exotic vendor thing that uses quite a lot of items for a newbie to get but it has some great exotics in there. if youre free to play you only get access to the red war and legacy gear sections but getting the legendary edition gives you access to the whole top row (in the second section, forsaken, you can redeem three free engrams which you can use to get three exotics from it. i recommend the sparrow as its the fastest but i dont know about the weapons.) left some stuff out on purpose because im ill and tired but hope it helps :)

I’ll say your first course of action is to uninstall this app or use it exclusively for gear transferring. This place isn’t helpful nor is it friendly.

Don't. Stop playing, you're welcome

My advice is fairly one sided as I really only play warlock, but my advice is to save up glimmer (the primary in game currency) to purchase subclass stuff from Ikora in the tower, if you’re playing warlock don’t invest in Dawnblade until you get sunbracers or starfire protocol exotics (the yellow gear (which you can only equip one weapon and armor of this rarity)) Voidwalker is going to be your best option for game play overall but Stormcaller can be quite fun at times but doesn’t compete with voidwalker in higher level content. If you’re playing with the free version (ie no DLC or season pass) you won’t be able to access your classes Stasis subclass. Friday-Monday is when Xür is somewhere in game that’s where you’ll be able to buy exotic, you can also get the xenology quest which will allow you to get an exotic cypher, which with enough legendary shards (another type currency both for legendary equipment, exotic and mod purchases and upgrading armor) and sometimes enhancement prisms will allow you to buy exotic from the kiosk by the vaults. I would recommended also googling a starter guide for mods on armor or any other questions you might have! Good luck out there guardian!

Go to the HELM and you can pick up a full set of decent armour and weapons at 1540 power. It’ll also give you an exotic armour and weapon

Please check out my channel! Full service will be up and running Oct. 1st, with permanent content in development. Inbox me and add me and I can hopefully help you get start off right. I won't be on til around 7:30pm EST. In the meantime, play through the introductory missions and keep equipping your highest Light (ie the number showing the power) items, even if you don't like them as much. You want that number to climb ASAP so you can access more challenging content. Make certain to utilize the quest tab in your director. The game can get overwhelming with how much info it's throwing at you. The quest tab will really let you focus in on those one or two important tasks and will always explain what to do, you just gotta read! Once you unlock the Tower as a Destination, make sure to buy the 4 daily Gunsmith Bounties from Banshee. I'd also enter your Destinations, open Eternity, and go to Xur's Treasure Hoard. You'll get access to Dares of Eternity and you can go grind in that for a bit. There's some really great weapons in there that are highly accessible with minimal grinding. If you own 'The Witch Queen' campaign, I'd jump into that next. If not, go into whatever campaign you do own. If all you have is the Battle Pass, go grind that. If you're an F2P player with no purchased content, you should really stick to Dares of Eternity and Vanguard OPs. PVP is full of sweats with crazy good loadouts. Lastly, I'll say don't use any crafting materials yet. Don't mess with your upgrade modules or enhancement cores. It looks like important stuff because it is. But early game those materials can be irritating to grind out, and the reality is you don't really need to use them yet. Focus on equipping the highest items you have! Hopefully this will give you a loose guideline to getting started. Like I said, add me and I'll hit you up once I'm on. Those little details which create the information overload I can answer for you, but right now they don't really matter. What matters is you getting access to all the various forms of content.
