Overexposure kills the fun out of anything. Doing the same, tedious, monotonous task over and over again can easily lead to burnout. I'm so tired of this game telling me, "go do one of the 3 strikes again for the millionth time" or "do this new, repetitive activity 1,000 times." The game expects so much time out of a player. Most of the game isn't even hard, it's just lengthy. One can't even enjoy the "story" of the seasons properly as it's always "cutscene, now talk to the new hub, now do the seasonal horde mode activity, now you get a drop of story, now wait until next week to repeat." If you wait a few weeks, it turns into "return to season hub, run the event, sprinkle of story, repeat until nauseous." Oh I would love the day Destiny goes back to how it was back when I fell in love with it, where I can get all my weekly "work" done in just a couple hours and then play because I WANT to, instead of anything and everything being drip fed through the repetitive completion of monotonous, brain dead activities. I want to be able to take breaks. I want to have some time that I could use to play something else so I can make D2 feel more fresh again. The way the game's current formula is, I can't really do that very much. Every week brings new chores and objectives. Every week has many hours of work needed to complete to stay up to date, lest I want to fall behind and have a daunting amount of work to catch up on. EDIT: I'm seeing multiple posts telling me to "just quit." Unfortunately it's not that easy for me for more than one reason. 1. I became far to invested in the game back when it was good. I enjoyed the first two years and became deeply invested back then. I'm the kind of person who enjoys things from beginning to end. I dedicated to seeing this game to its ending long ago, which is another gripe I have. I wouldn't have gotten invested if I had known Bungie was gonna be an pos and change it to essentially not have an ending. 2. Bungie has the monopoly on this gameplay. No other game out there feels as good as this game. So when I get the itch to play, I don't have any other options. 3. Not sure if ADHD has any role to play in my borderline addiction, but it does aid in hyper focusing on the game. 4. Lastly, as much as I bash on it, I still enjoy alot of the game. A part of me just hopes that by submitting my feedback, it might play a tiny role to help the game become better. Not submitting feedback when you're unhappy about something is a submissive attitude. I love the game, but I disagree with many of the choices the developers have taken, therefore I submit my feedback as my drop in the bucket towards letting the developers know what the players feel about the game. The reason I post so much negativity towards the game here is because this is the feedback forums. I don't use this place like social media. I only really ever use this place when I have feedback I want to submit. I have posted positive feedback before, but I just feel the negative is more important most of the time.
