Runnings is hard.
I run with a team of people and they’re all better than me. I’m decent I guess. I don’t get how they’re so good. We have to run this one course every week or so and it’s 1.5 miles uphill. It sucks. Your legs are constantly working against you and your tired because you can’t stop. Somehow people are getting 9 minutes. I barely got 13:10 on it. To pass the course you gotta get 13:30 so I passed but still.
I wish running wasn’t so hard. Every single day at 8 in the morning it’s get up and run 4-5 miles. It’s brutal and I don’t like. But getting fit is getting fit.
The only reason I’m writing is cause my friend is doing something and i don’t know what he’s doing. We’re just chilling in the lobby. Give me recomendafikns on tasty foods. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.

Bearbeitet von TheArtist: 7/11/2022 3:57:03 AMIf you're just doing it for cardio fitness and to increase your endurance....don't worry about your time. Its about the effort and the consistency. Not how fast you are. If you're doing it competitively? You might want to change events. Not everyone is cut out to be a long distance runner. I know because I'm one of those who isn't. There is a reason why all your world-class distance runners are very thin with very low % body fat. While your sprinters are very muscular and very strong.

Hell I settle for just being able to run

I love running

Running is hard because you have to keep doing it in order to stay good at it, but the whole process of running sucks, you get out of it what you put into it. It doesn't get easier you just get better at enjoying the pain and enduring it longer, but it does help lung capacity which is useful if you also Swim, Hike, and Bike...

Not everyone is cut out for it, especially when you compare yourself with others.

I don’t know if you already do this but if you picture each step while running as hopping off each foot and run on the balls of your feet it saves a lot of energy so you can go longer and faster

4 AntwortenI have a really hard time with runs. I’m being the weak loser that I am and just trying to pull off 20 push-ups 20 squats 20 sit-ups And do them repeatedly for 20 minutes straight. It’s a start I suppose… I managed to pull off 50 push-ups which is impressive for my standard back-back pretty fast but busted my wrist.

I hate running. I -blam!- up my foot because of running and now have to deal with plantar fasciitis the rest of my life. Cycling is better, but these days I’ve slowed down to hiking. Between that and strength training I do the bare minimum to stay fit (“American fit,” not actually fit).

How long have you been running? Your post makes it feel like your still fairly new to it. Might want to find a different running club if available because I've never heard of one that had a pass/fail system in place.

Running is great, keep at it
-
It has a lot to do with genes Only thing I can say that might help is do a lot of endurance runs on the side

2 AntwortenIt’s not hard if you don’t do it.

Bearbeitet von Altmith: 7/10/2022 6:25:54 AMWhen I joined the army I expected running to get easier. I am sad to report it never did. What I discovered was that I could just endure the terrible for longer. That said keep at it. It still fells good when you’re done. Recommend breakfast foods.
