Sad to see Bungie once on its way to recovering from the mess up that was Activision. Now declining by taking away something that was so solid about Destiny since Day 1….. Good bye gun play. You will be missed. PvP has placed its final nail in the coffin and removed you (sweet gun play) and replaced you with an abilities match. No longer can you test your gun skills but instead test your grinding capacity for armor that allows you to spam abilities. Bungie I will miss all the good times we have had. Hopefully one day I may hear of your new exploits and corrections you might make. That or forever be a fond memory of our times together. So long old friend.

3 Antwortenhttps://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/50829 "One of our design goals this year was to reduce the amount of ability spam in the Crucible and put the focus back on gunplay." What happened to this? They did this for the 30th anniversary, and then proceeded to introduce Void 3.0 with overshield spam and now solar 3.0 with restoration spam. Where's the focus on gunplay? "The team takes player feedback seriously and as Destiny players ourselves, we have an intrinsic fire to keep improving things for everyone" So then why are they ignoring the overwhelming amount of hate for restoration/overshields in pvp? "We’re excited to see how these changes feel once they hit the live game, and we’ll be monitoring and adjusting accordingly in future releases" They have not adjusted restoration in pvp at all whatsoever this entire season.

2 AntwortenGunplay is a side dish to the space magic

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von El Mebaj: 7/10/2022 9:38:34 AMI literally only play PvP when Momentum Control is in rotation, even then it's rare. It's leagues better than any other mode.

They really should disable artifact mods in PvP. It's been the cause of a good amount of ability spam builds.

3 AntwortenI like the gunplay, but abilities are part of the game.
Also you’re mad.
10 AntwortenBearbeitet von G0lden Hunt3r: 7/9/2022 2:55:23 PMIts a game based on abilities my dude. For gunplay go to CoD.

Please dont come back. Take more with you too.

3 AntwortenWe had stronger abilities under Activision, supers were alot harder to stop with guns , You could wipe the enemy team twice with a roaming super , and the game didn't tell you who had which super, or when it was charged. Every class also had one hit kill grenades Abilities were alot stronger in D1, in D2 guns are stronger than abilities, even supers, a handcannon can 3 tap you out of your super even at max resilience

Bearbeitet von Dredgen Araphel: 7/11/2022 6:29:23 AMAbilities were nerfed and every weapon was buffed and viable with the exception being autos. I die more to a NTE,AoS,140 handcannons, and a shotgun which was nerfed again and still a top used weapon. There is handcannon and pulse spam I get 2 bursted by a pulse or 3 tapped by a spamcannon. You got your gunplay abilities just help sway some and theu aren't even as powerful as they used to be. Rip handheld supernova the newlights will never know.

Idk what type of bs crucible you guys are playing, but right now I am still killing more players with my weapons than abilities. Let us look back on the facts... Super recharge times were nerfed to a state that tier 5 and 4 supers can occour save 2 times per control match (if making consistently kills) while Tier 3 can sometimes be used 2 times in a single control match and Tier 1-2 supers only 1 TIME a control match for sure. In high compeititve gamemodes like Trials and Survival, you can get your super sometimes NOT AT ALL before the match ends (due to horrible matchmaking). Grenades, Melees and Class Abilities now have different CD timers, depending on type and stats. In exchange, abilities got a small face-lift to make them more unique (overshield, healing, etc.) The secondary source of kills in PvP is still, Grenades (which counts technically as a weapon), Melees (both charged and uncharged) and to some degree supers. The main source of kills in PvP are still weapon kills.

4 AntwortenThere should be a mandatory 12 hour minimum waiting period for posting in the forums after going into Crucible. 🤣

So weapons have been removed? Odd I seemed to be shooting guns in PvP last night. Shocking and quick change.
-
Yeah, more melees than Tekken
Sad to see Bungie once on its way to recovering from the mess up that was Activision.
Sorry, not sorry, your reply is silly especially knowing Bungie literally has always had creative control.

The only people who enjoy it are the ones who struggle using their primaries lol

Bearbeitet von Ferus Lux: 7/10/2022 1:34:50 AMIt's a looter shooter with space magic. Get this gunplay nonsense out of here and go find an E-Spprt that bills itself as competitive and balanced. This isn't even a PvP game. It's a side mode.
-
Better be spamming damage with your abilities AND your gun
-
Agreed. Gunplay and movement were the last 2 skill gaps and they’re slowly killing both. Great design philosophy.
-
So many people in the forum rely on abilities to get kills… it will explain all your furious downvotes

It was never on it's way to recovery.

Bearbeitet von Ghostfire239: 7/9/2022 2:59:30 PMI personally don’t really mind the ability spam. It can be a bit annoying sometimes but it’s also fun.
