Why do some mortals receive a god’s death, but some gods don’t?
It was painfully unfunny most of the time, and rarely mildly entertaining. Wasted potential. I don't see anything good coming from Marvel in the future.

3 AntwortenAren’t blockbuster superhero movies pretty much 90% special effects and 10% cookie cutter story? How could you mess that up?

1 AntwortenIt’s all part of the plan. It started with Occupy Wall Street.

That’s a little bit harsh. I prefer to think of it as being a more bloated version of Thor Ragnarok. I know that Thor Ragnarok has its critics, but most people loved it because it was fun, and it showed off Chris Helmsworth’s natural charisma, as well as comedic chops. But I felt that a lot of the humor in Love and Thunder just didn’t work for me. Nothing was awful, but nothing was great either. Between all is his new acting, and directing projects, audiences have become too familiar with Taika Waititi’s style of humor. Jokes that felt novel in Ragnarok now feel played out in Love and Thunder. And a certain argument could be made that the comedic parts of Love and Thunder, and the dramatic bits clashed a lot more than they did in the previous Thor film, so there’s a lot more tonal whiplash. It’s still a good film, but it’s one where you definitely feel the fatigue of the ‘Disney = Family Friendly’ formula. Given the subject matter, it’s not hard to imagine that there could have been a script for a much more serious, and darker version of Love and Thunder.

I’ll have to see it for myself.

I’m not gonna say it was the best, but it was not worst. It was alright at least.
