KEEP FREELANCE TRIALS
oh my god please for the love of everything holy just make freelance an available option EVERY weekend, going against 3 stacks in trials as a solo just ruins the whole experience. I dont want the "Oh find other people to play" excuse either cause it is a gamemode they have tested to WORK

It should be a no brainer really. Freelance gambit, control, iron banner have all worked perfectly. When freelance trials is on, it works perfectly. There's absolutely no reason not to do it. "but it splits the player base" isn't an issue for any of those game modes and isn't an issue for trials. Literally the only reason people don't want it is it makes their games a little harder in the non-freelance playlist.

FREELANCE MATCHMAKING IS DOGSHIT. All freelance does is allow better players to farm KD cause bots like you still can’t get flawless even with flawless pool and freelance. Freelance splits the community up way to much and if you played trials every week you’d realise it’s so much more toxic in freelance

Why not plan ahead and use the matchmaking to make friends for the weeks with no freelance? There are so many of you that complain about it, you can probably make a clan....

I use to say this but at this point I wouldn’t care if they didn’t. The matchmaking is still -blam!- and people leaving games along with other foolishness.

2 AntwortenIt only works because it stops people like you complaining and is the fantastic opportunity to never fix PvP match making across the board. So since the loud minority keep being listened to..... Might as well have it on all the time. Hell if you go flawless you should be locked out from playing trials ever again until reset. I don't know when the shift happened in gaming but we're in a very shitty era of gaming due to both players and developers alike. At least there's some old school and a few new school games that haven't been destroyed by entitlement and laziness.

Here's an idea. No more teams period. Everyone has to use matchmaking and play with who they get, voice chat is heavily recommended, and there's a review system where if you are abused or bullied by your team mates, you can report them. Confirmed abusive players get shifted into another lobby for the remainder of the month where they can only play with other abusive -blam!-.

Just bec ur skill is on the low end doesn’t mean u deserve to go flawless . I have gone flawless solo vs teams and I’m considered trash . The fact most of you play a couple games get mad bec you lose and blame the system shows how you have no want to grow .As for the decent to good players when you are soloing please give these people advice .If they cannot win then they need to at least understand why they lost. Last note if the keep solo trials flawless pool needs to go .

2 AntwortenI understand the whole “but that splits MM” argument but the second half to this is to get rid of card based matchmaking because it simply DOES NOT WORK as intended, and get rid of the flawless pool. Add in freelance every week and matchmaking become split only in 2 ways rather than in 4+. Also, while we’re at it delete the code for zone capture… permanently… throw it a funeral, burn the computer it was developed on, shoot whoever came up with it, it didn’t work… move on… it should never come out again.

Wow you’re one of the lucky ones.. I lost the first round and one person on my team left. The 2nd game the other player left, 3-4-5 game I was bagged mercilessly because I had the audacity to fight back and kill a couple.. just wish people wouldn’t leave. In freelance tho I sometimes had people leave but because there’s no communication I wiped the team most times. I just can’t deal with 3 people shooting at me 😵💫

If you know running a 3 stack gives you an advantage, why would you ever queue in solo? There are LFGs, and you can make your own post, that don't require mics so you don't have to speak to anyone (if that is your biggest concern).

47 AntwortenPeople honestly don't understand. They tell you you need a team but no one is going to team with a .4 unless they are a virgin and a streamer needs there flawless emblem. Basically anyone else who joins them just become fodder for all the sweats. LFG is so toxic and are filled with the very same people who farm their stats with card resets off these .4s. Yes I get tired of playing with kids with two left hands during freelance but none of them are actively trying to play bad and from my experience these .4s will stay in all 5 rounds and get the snot beaten out of them unlike many of the flawless emblemed kids I know who quit out early because they lack any fortitude. So just because freelance isn't beneficial to many including players like myself, it doesn't mean they shouldn't have it. For some this is literally their only chance at getting trials gear. And honestly the only reason I could see players not wanting freelance is because card farming and easier games will go away.

I’d go as far to say that it’s more an issue than anything, by splitting the playerbase into two pools, which gets split into 4 when flawless pool activates. The actual solution to making trials better for the average player is to revert it to the conditions from last weekend (on burning shrine) or to the conditions from the first trials week 2 seasons ago in September 2021. Both of those weekends saw more flawlesses achieved by unique individuals than compared to any other trials weekend. The numbers don’t lie. The entire point of trials is to go flawless. Those conditions allowed more individuals to go flawless. It doesn’t make any real sense as to why they’re straying away from those conditions if making the lighthouse more obtainable is the ultimate goal for bungie with this game mode. At the end of the day, whatever implementation is done doesn’t matter to me. I complete 10-20 cards per weekend effortlessly regardless of whether there’s freelance splitting the playerbase, or flawless pool, or capture zone, etc. But speaking purely on what I see benefits the average player, bungie had the mode most successful on the two aforementioned trials weekends, and then threw the success out the window in typical bungie fashion. And if you can’t go flawless under those conditions, there’s basically no hope for you.

Trouble with freelance is: 1. It’s easier than the team based queue so I find myself actively avoiding the team queue as much as possible. This happens with Comp and Iron Banner and personally I don’t think it should be happening in a multi player game. 2. On the odd time I do play in the team queue when the solo queue is active but only have 2 players in my fireteam we end up sitting in orbit forever. 3. It divides the player base up by half again so by the end of the weekend there’s is 8 pools instead of 4. I’ve got the bulk of my flawless passages from the solo queue so I should be 100% for it. But I’m not because like it or not it is a detriment to the original playlist. Give us it once a month like Iron Banner but not every week.
