Big part of the problem that's not talked about nearly as much as it should is crossplay. Once crossplay hit, a lot of issues within crucible -- warping, lag spikes, ghost bullets, complete lack of lobby balancing etc. all ramped up hard. The community as a whole should honestly make a widespread push to shut off crossplay.

Haven't encountered much lag apart from the odd players teleporting, but considering I'm on a 5g wireless tp link 3port, and on the old xbox one, it's not that bad. That isn't my issue however... My main issue is the lack of sbmm, ever since they removed it to please a small group of people who complained they couldn't match when 6 stacked I iron banner, the matches have either been us stomping enemies with one guy super tryhard sweating, or the other way round, or even my entire team unable to do a simple thing like capture points and the enemy stomping us. As of writing this I have had 4 or 5 games in a row where we lost each one and by a good margin, around 40+ point difference. The main reason is because I get placed against sweaty no lives or people somehow able to either one punch melee or even snipe through walls without headshot, and is the main reason I use xbox's "record what happened" (basically record a game clip up to 5 mins). I have captured around 70+ clips atleast 15 seconds in length of some player able to instant kill, kill me through walls or straight up take zero damage from my guns. I don't know if I'm just the only one, seems like other players have encountered similar and all seeming after they removed sbmm around 2 years ago. IMO, bungie should bring back sbmm, or atleast make it an option to toggle in settings, because I'm sick and tired of getting killed through some bs or because I'm matched against some no life who has nothing better than play games all day and do sweet F-A (For context, I would say I'm average and used to get atleast 18 kills per game, not assists, KILLS, and now I can barely get 15 without some geezer stealing my kills.) P.S- I have also had to deal with bs such as: -Guns somehow not doing much/enough damage to kill enemy and that leading to most assists that shouldn't have been, or the enemy getting assisted(even seen whole team work together to kill me yet non are in a fireteam or in voice/text channels yet my team would rather run off and ATTEMPT getting a kill and basically giving points to the enemy...) -Somehow spawning on enemies side of the map, even though we have a point captured on the other side -people somehow either able to kill me or even melee either after I did the action first or even through my shield(have had a player melee me through shield with ONE melee while it took atleast 2 to kill him) And finally, -joining a game mid/nearly finished only to either get killed all the time due to players having supers from being in game longer, or most annoyingly being instantly killed by some sweat that somehow takes no damage... (or not enough to kill him like previously stated). This bs I have had to deal with only became MORE common after the removal of sbmm and likely because of crossplay, but again, crossplay doesn't seem to affect my gameplay too much or too often. P.P.S - don't really care if you think I'm bad at the game, don't play crucible too often for these reasons I stated above, just wanted to share what I have encountered most recently so I don't care for any "sucks to suck" or "get better at the game" comments, just keep those comments to yourself.... With fingers crossed, I hope bungie atleast sees the playerbases opinions and feedback and actually does something about it instead of sitting on it and hope we don't notice...

Sorry if you get matched with me. I live in the middle of nowhere and the fastest speed here is 20mbps. It usually hangs around 8mbps though.
