Airborn effectiveness (AE) changes made pvp worse
The AE changes have locked you to standing on the ground because of the huge penalty for jumping, this is dumb for a multitude of reasons, to start destiny is a game of movement not walking around and the AE changes penalize you for jumping your bullets also won’t go where the point is causing them to go off to the side missing completely. In conclusion the AE changes need to be reverted or people will go back to cheap special ammo weapons for easy kills.

1 AntwortenI’ve tried the Airborn Effectiveness in Crucible after this season weeks back, haven’t affected my GL/SMG playstyle but i can imagine any Primary that’s not like that (except for Fighting Lion) won’t feel as good, especially Pulses and HCs.

13 AntwortenTry playing a darts match while jumping off a table, while your opponent stays on the ground. My guess is you will lose, unless you could land multiple lucky shots. This is how it should be.

Took a while for me to realise that I am missing much more shots now. Do they want everyone to walk slowly and respectfully and never jump? Running is penalised, sliding is penalised, jumping is penalised. Soon they'l nerf croaching too.

2 AntwortenI wouldn’t mind if the system worked like they said it would. Accurate reticle placement still rewards hits, build into AE if you want to maintain AA. However accuracy is completed busted.

9 AntwortenThe special economy nerfs alongside special weapon nerfs combined with the air effectiveness nerfs have made pvp far more enjoyable for me.

8 AntwortenThis change is bad. It was to stifle Hunters that wear stompees to appease a mob that just argued their way into across the board buffs. To satisfy the whiners that cannot look up or move to a better position or angle. Now some Titans upon realizing another grossly overpowered exotic won't be added back are offering death threats. Let us not negotiate with terrorists. The dad's and .6s are literally making the game feel worse with their requests. And Bungie is so intent on being seen as "listening to their community" they are making things worse at the people's request. It's insane. Air effectives needs to be built into? Why? We slay gods. The road we are on isn't boding well for the end of Destiny. Soon their will be an accuracy system on top of the flinch system. Guardians must be completely still before shooting. 😂

I think the Aztecross video you likely watched has some good points, addressed below, but I also think he’s mainly complaining. Now, I do wish a few things bungie said were consistent and true, and that you could build more properly into air play, but to say pvp is terrible with the changes? Not true.

41 AntwortenIt was a good change for many reasons. The #1 reason is that you can no longer freely slap on an Icarus Grip mod on almost every single gun in the game and completely ignore in-air accuracy penalties with no real cost. Bungie was also absolutely correct in stating their desire that they didn't want people jumping/floating in the air with OHK special weapons that could also ignore in-air accuracy penalties with a single mod (i.e. snipers, fusions, shotguns, and slug shotguns especially). Now, you can no longer freely crutch Icarus Grip on your slug shotgun or sniper without making some kind of buildcrafting decision or loadout sacrifice. This is a fair tradeoff for me, and we've had way too long of freely abusing Icarus Grip.

It's freaking terrible. I'm not good but, it's the mode I enjoy. They've completely gutted it.

I’m slowly adjusting, tho I do find it odd that my aim on the ground has been feeling weird as if there is more bloom in general. Last word feels amazing on pc tho since warlocks can get 99 AE

As of this moment , accurate reticle placement does not guarantee accurate bullet registration if you're airborne. I can live without the aim assist , what i don't like is RNG in a FPS , which is also why i never use shotguns or fusions. Consistency should be the name of the game when it comes to FPS ... just my opinion.
