In this week's sever mission, Crow says he has someone to pull him back , The Memory Of Uldren , we don't matter
In the trespasser lore, we learn that Ikoras nightmare is Cayde, but it wasnt Ikora who was at the prison feet away from where he died, we were not in Forsaken either
In Season Of The Splicer Missrax didn't recognize us, and says an unknown guardian spared him on Titan , and he worked with us in Zero Hour
We are just a plot device in other people's stories

When nerfing things in the game reaches its logical conclusion - our Guardians have been nerfed from being immortal heroes whose names everyone knows to anonymous forgotten figures.
-
It started with shadowkeep the emasculation of our respective guardians with the cinematic showing the red war ,the curse of Osiris and warmind being done by a group of guardian instead of our solitary guardian.for example the finale of season of the splicer, our guardian kick everything -blam!- thoughtout the season.Everyone calls us THE master splicer because no one else can do it,what happens at the final showdown?literally everyone is there fighting vex with ikora leading the charge wtf ?We,THE master splicer should be there too .Leading the charge for frick sake theres a space in the center of the lineup clearly meant for our respective guardians to lead them,But nope we're in orbit twiddling our thumbs dee dee dumb,C'mon bungie the game IS about us ,the player .what game has ever been about the background npc ?
-
2 AntwortenAnd based on this weeks discussions with Crow it feels like Bungie is setting him up to be the next Hunter Vanguard ... even though he does not qualify as per they "rules" ...

No wonder they vault content we were never there.

14 AntwortenBearbeitet von Unbreakable Patches: 6/1/2022 8:33:36 AMTo be fair, we’ve changed armor about 800 times since year one and we never explicitly talked to him nor had he seen us with our helmet off. And Ikora has a lot of feelings about what happened with Cayde. You played Forsaken. She was furious. The player Guardian didn’t really have a connection with him the way Zavala or Ikora would have. It’s not always about us.

5 AntwortenIt's not always about us. We've dealt with our nightmares. It's our time to help others deal with theirs.

Bearbeitet von A KOOL POP TART: 6/2/2022 12:15:36 AMYeah, I head canon that my titan just wanders the capital wasteland, regaling tired travelers and bar keeps with wild stories about creatures veiled in black mist that inhabit the Chernobyl exclusion zone, or the strange happenings within the Yellowstone Caldera.
In the trespasser lore, we learn that Ikoras nightmare is Cayde, but it wasnt Ikora who was at the prison feet away from where he died, we were not in Forsaken either
maybe it hit ikora so hard that a nightmare was formed to exploit her sadness from caydes death so maybe the guardian wasnt as sad as she was after his death despite it going on closer to them
-
Yeah, we’re essentially treated as a weapon for other characters to use.
-
Ikora having Cayde as a nightmare makes sense because she feels guilty and always has done; she’s the only person who knew him on the tower without a memorial to him for the same reason. That said, we do feel wholly pointless in the story now; I said to a friend yesterday that we no longer seem to matter, we have no impact on what characters do. For example, my main would have sided with Caitl at the start of this season; she was right in saying what Eris has done is dangerous. We know the Crown of Sorrow is like the one ring, it corrupts people but we’re letting Eris play with it? What? It’s like when Ikora put a Vex gate in the city ...
In Season Of The Splicer Missrax didn't recognize us, and says an unknown guardian spared him on Titan
I have changed my armor, weapons and shaders multiple times between saving Mithrax on Titan and meeting him again in Season of the Splicer. Didn’t speak to him on Titan either… No wonder he doesn’t recognize me. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
