It is frustrating, bungie’s bad sales strategies

7 AntwortenHonestly, when I tried and tried to get people to give feedback about how scummy Eververse was getting 4 years ago and I warned everyone this was coming (not exaggerating here, I literally told people all the scummy mtx we're leading to battle passes and "sold separately" raids/dungeons) everybody just called me poor and entitled. "Just cosmetics, bro" "Optional, bro" "You don't know it'll get worse, bro" It sucks, but most of this community wanted this. They supported it. They attacked people like me who knew this was coming and tried to give feedback.
It is frustrating, bungie’s bad sales strategies
No. Really you don't have to pay. However if you feel like you have to pay then there might be other issues to be concerned about. Bad sales strategies? They offer a bundle and clearly state buying separately will cost more.
-
Well, you could always not pay for anything. I mean, this season is mostly a pass, and that dungeon is really piss poor. You wouldn't be missing out on much except for a skull helmet ornament from the pass.

I personally am fine with supporting the developers for the things they make. I consider it like buying a movie or something. But instead of watching it for 2 hours and then being done with it, I get hours of playtime. I do not expect Bungie to run a charity. They have hundreds of employees who want food on their plates at the end of the day.

2 AntwortenI love Destiny, but these MMO prices for a Non-MMO game is getting a bit suspicious. I'm almost scared they're gonna start making unique weapons and making them purchasable through Eververse, no content running required, just Silver for a gun that could be super OP in content. Like, I play actual MMOs in addition to Destiny and the stark contrast between what I get with them and what I get with Destiny is that Destiny often just rehashes old content and sells it back at a premium while actual MMOs always give me NEW places, levels, and experiences. Destiny adds like $100+ a year in addition to my already $300+ gaming budget. And that's just me and not including my SO who plays alongside me in these games. For WQ, all I've gotten that's new is a campaign (well made I gotta say), a raid (raiding isn't worth it in Destiny), and a ton of weapons and armor that I either have to be forced to use for champions or don't use at all because I already have better weapons. Lightfall better show the goods for the amount of money we're investing or this is gonna get sad real fast.

1 Antwortenim not siding with bungie on this, but this isnt anything new people where already up in arms when bungie said they where going to do this 80 bucks a year isnt that expensive, but its still a -blam!- move pushing people into it
-
I personally bought the deluxe edition Witch Queen...at 100 bucks, for a year of content? Not too bad. But I also agree that the monetization of this game really sucks. I don't mind paying at all. But I think the season model as it is doesn't work for destiny.
-
1 AntwortenCorrection. Bungie wants me to pay for a DLC, Season, Dungeon and Events.
-
4 AntwortenI bought the Season but when I saw they gated the dungeon I REFUSED to give more $$$ -blam!- that
-
12 Antwortenyou're complaining about a pay to play game - a model that's used by a lot of other major gaming developers? if you don't want to pay, then you're not entitled to the stuff the rest of us paid for. You can either stick to the freeloading portions of the game, or if you are that dissatisfied, find another F2P that doesn't have a paywall
-
They really want people to buy the deluxe edition, it's kind of a joke considering how little the pass actually gets you this season so far.
-
7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kaneki: 5/29/2022 8:22:49 PMIt's a free game. You already a have a lot of content for free. Don't be surprised you have to pay for DLCs, Seasons and activities like Dungeons. I think (I'm not 100% sure tho) you actually get the dungeon for FREE if you bought the season. Also if you don't want to spend money on seasons and dungeons just buy deluxe edition I know it's expensive but it's really worth it imo. I know all of things cost but don't expect that Bungie will give all of this content for free since Destiny is f2p game. All games work like this and I think paying for content in this game is really worth it considering how good stuff Bungie releases lately is.
-
Would be nice if at least half of the people in this game would just stop buying bungie's stupid -blam!- and go play a different game just to tell Bungie they really screwed up because clearly they're not reading the forums

10 AntwortenAll these Bungie fan boys sticking up for this business mode. Hilarious. No wonder every year get worse. What’s next? You want to shoot your new exotic weapon, you need a special pass that includes the bullets. I like this game but Bungie milking every penny from the community like this is greedy.
-
3 AntwortenYep soon it’s $5 for crucible, $5 for gambit, $10 for a dungeon, $20 for a raid a month etc
-
7 AntwortenIs the season worth $10? Maybe. Too early, but it's right now not looking great. Is the dungeon worth $20? No. Maybe 15. If Master had encounter changes or the encounters were more varying when it came to mechanics, and some more gear to earn I would bump it up to 20. Dungeons, at least this one, doesn't feel like its worth $20.
-
19 AntwortenYeap. But the new dungeon is big suck for now, I'm not even gonna play it. Stupid mechanics and timer on bosses if u dont finish in time you wipe. And puzzles at boss lol , during the fight.

1 AntwortenBungie is a bunch of scumbags.
-
I just buy the yearly expansion and be done with it.

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von ElegidoPorDolor: 5/29/2022 1:20:28 PMThey are scummy as fuck but dumb leftists will keep defending them and throwing their money at them Additionally, they could just increase the price of the Season to 15 dollars and that would get you the Dungeon
-
Bungie should be allowed to set the prices...but they have to accept (and surely do) community backlash for what can be seen as predatory prices. Honestly, it just makes the deluxe edition a better deal, which I get each year anyway. The one thing I will say doesn't have to deal with the dungeons. With the paid event pass, I think they need to put silver in the season pass. So if you buy the season and complete your season pass, you will have enough silver to buy the event pass. Or the next season if the event pass doesn't tickle your pickle.
-
5 AntwortenThe alternative is to not have more than one dungeon and one raid per year. I will pay $10 per dungeon, $20 per raid, $10 per season. Thats what those are worth to me. I did the math, and with the current model, Destiny ends up being $11-12 per month. Compared to other MMOs, thats pretty amazing. If its too much for you, IMO you should buy what looks interesting and nothing else. You dont HAVE to buy everything
-
All of this was common knowledge last august
-
5 AntwortenYeah, it’s super scummy how Bungie spends money and resources to create dlc and seasonal content and expects to be paid for that labor and those resources. The horror…
