Revert all PvE nerfs. Completely separate PvE and PvP. Remove Gambit. Not everything needs a Master difficulty. Stop pandering to the 1%. Matchmaking for every difficulty of strikes and seasonal content except Grandmaster. Add some gore to the game. Remove the seasonal power level grind. Eververse engrams shouldn't give us stuff we already have. Let us infuse gear into other classes like we could in D1. Champions have overstayed their welcome. Replace them with something else. Champion mods should not be limited to specific weapon types. Let us use what we want. More Champions and bullet sponge enemies is artificial difficulty. If enemies are able to spam supers(Savathun), so should we. Raid exotics should be guaranteed on the first clear. If Bethesda can have free seasons and rewards(Fallout 76), so can Bungie.

Im pissed about this because there was no story to this at all. Its just randomly like "darkness is coming, the witness! Prepare for doom!" Then BAM! Surprise calus and early Halloween that has no connection to the main story at all. The weapons are locked behind a reskinned leviathan raid intro that got old after the 5th run, there is literally No variation in any run at all. The boss always has the same movement pattern, the adds always spawn at the same places at the same time, the darkness crystals spawn at the same 5 points. Its just boring and lazy development. Its like they got so focused on Solar 3.0 that they completely forgot to make an actually DLC.

By and large you are simply dealing with unhappy people, and this is a safe space for many of them to vent the negative emotions associated with that unhappiness. Because there aren't any consequences for doing it here as in IRL. Because they're anonymous. It took Bungie years to figure that out. The community here ran them in circles. Made outrageous demands after outrageous demands Until they finally realized that nothing they were ever going to do was going to make this place happy, or stop the incessant complaining. So they stopped trying...and they haven't made an effort to constructively enage this place in years. They monitor it from the margins...but they don't come in here and try to have conversations or look for constructive feedback. In short, they finally realized that what's going on here is indirect, and not direct communication. IMO, the breaking point was the Eververse store. I believe Bungie got fed up and decided to -blam!--test us. They put an Iron Banner emote in the store, and gave it ALL the conditions we said we wanted and under which we said MTX would be acceptable: There was no power being sold; there was no RNG; It was purely cosmetic; and it was clearly priced so that we knew what we were spending and what we were getting? We're we happy? NOPE....This community RAGED about it like you wouldn't believe. That was the LAST TIME Bungie ever asked us for feedback on the EV store. [b]Because they realized that they couldn't trust anything we said.[/b] So now they just tell us how things are going to work...and they move on. So to answer your question: At the end of the day its not really about the game....and there is nothing Bungie can do to this game that will satisfy the people who are complaining, or put a stop to the complaints. Which is the life lesson here, for people who do this sort of thing in relationships IRL. When people figure out that nothing they'll ever do will be good enough, or "make the other person happy"? They stop trying.
