While I'm not a fan of champions themselves (the Fallen ones can simply go -blam!- themselves), my biggest complaint with the system is the mods. They either need to remove the mods outright, or provide significantly more accessibility with them. Their attempt to encourage end-game weapon variety just ends up doing the opposite- doubling down on narrowing the variety they sought to make. The latter could be (theoretically) easily done by providing seperate AB/Unstop/OL rounds for all three weapon types (Primary/Secondary/Power) for a total of 9 mods across the board. Hell, if they want to keep pushing for seasonal champ mods, make the base primaries cost something like 2 energy, special 4, and heavy 6, and the seasonal mods can halve those costs for the season similar to how some artifact mods are a reduced cost of base mods. You get a much more elastic meta compared to a rigid one this way, as you encourage a meta rather than forcing it.

its time to unlock the stun option to any weapon.

1 AntwortenI LOVE champions. They keep things fresh. They charge your super more than anything else. They keep me using different weapons. What I don't love? The mods. Weapons should have mods as an option on them. Meaning weapons, not armour. So like when you can slap on backup mag, counterbalance stock, full auto, etc. You should be able to slap on overload, anti barrier, or unstoppable. That would make it so I can choose between a handcannon, autorifle, smg, sniper, shotgun, scout etc based on what I truly want to play. But to make it not broken, exotics should not have this ability.

Use 4 horsemen and then finisher the champion
-
Champs aren’t the issue. The way mods are handled are the issue.
-
Champions are there to keep the PVE meta fresh. If not, we would just rocket any yellow bar we see. Hive guardians are no different from vex walkers and fallen mechs. Everyone here just picked a nice corner and outranged them with scouts. Theres no urgency in the gameplay. No lessons of needing burst damage.
-
No it’s time for hunters to go
-
3 AntwortenTbf the whole game needs to go.
-
It has been time for them to go for a long time.
-
5 AntwortenEither make champion mods for all weapons or get rid of them entirely. Their entire purpose is to gatekeep loadouts, which is in direct contradiction of Bungie's claim that we can play however we like.
-
I don't think they should, however it would be nice to see a stun mechanic tied to something like you must deal 'x' amount of precision damage in order to stun
-
1 Antwortenweapon mod slots, like season of undying, let us slot anti barrier into scouts instead of armor pieces. we can't use exotics but it's a good tarde.
-
1 AntwortenReally simple solution. Remove them, give other enemies better AI. They're pretty stupid. I faced smarter enemies in Metal Gear on PS1.
-
1 AntwortenChampions and match game should go…. PERMANENTLY
-
Lets be honest here, champions themselves are usually fine. Its overloads and the champion mods that people have an issue with. Overloads need to not be so spammy and so heavy on the regen and the mods that stun them need to work consistently. Beyond that, there needs to be some kind of standardization on some of the champion stuns so we never get a season where we are stuck eith only sidearms to stun unstops, or only smg/auto to stun overloads.
-
Reworked, not removed.
-
11 AntwortenThey just beed to tweak overloads. Make stunning more effective (faster/earlier within a magazine and it should last for a bit longer). Also, the taken overloads should not be able to “retaliate” while stunned. Either that, or their health regen needs to be a little slower.
-
They are just annoying. Right gear they are okay. Wrong gear they are impossible. But sometimes it seems there’s just too many of them.
-
13 AntwortenThe legendary campaign was difficult and had no champions. The game can go on without them.
-
6 AntwortenNo, champions are a good addition, they just need to add more ways to kill the champions (more variety of supporting mods) to make builds more flexible. Removing champs would make endgame a joke, so either keep them or let me hear a good alternative
-
No, but they need to be used in less activities and we need more options to deal with them.
-
3 AntwortenThey're a false difficulty spike. A damage sponge that deals a lot of damage with high armor but conveniently has an Achilles heel when using the "right weapon and mod". The AI in destiny is nowhere near to what the AI was in the Bungie made Halo games. Evey enemy felt like it was a thinking opponent working together to effeminate you and the difficulty gauged their response time to you, their accuracy, evasiveness, and even their rank. Destiny's AI remains dumb no matter the difficulty.
-
10 AntwortenBungie has given us hive lightbearers that are difficult to kill and dont require any BS mods that dont work half of the time. They just need to add more enemies like that.
-
They never belonged in the first place
-
I wouldn’t mind them if we can use the champion mods on any weapon. But then I guess that doesn’t make too much sense

Bearbeitet von High Charity: 5/16/2022 7:30:12 PMThey don't need to go but they do need to allow us to slot whichever mods we want to whatever weapons. Overload bow with Trin is awesome.
