You can mostly run whatever you want for every gm, with particle gone there’s no “meta guns”. The only reason why people think it’s restricted is cause they play with players that only listen to YouTubers and regurgitate what they say and copy their build even though they don’t have the skill to use it lol my cleanest run in light blade gm was with lament and renewal grasps (after nerf) but I’m sure if I was playing with lfg players instead of friends it would of been “uhhh that’s not gonna work you must run gjallarhorn and void”. This is the best meta rn to run around with different set ups and have it work since the particle deconstruction restrictions are gone so don’t let toxic players that try to get you to switch your load outs to help them out since they are lacking in skill hurt your ability to play

Idk champion and their respective mods are quite literally restrictions to what's meta

1 AntwortenThan make YOUR OWN team. If you want to hinder yourself, that's fine, you can do it to yourself. Just don't expect people not to kick you.

"Endgame PvE Meta isn't restrictive" (Laughs nervously in Champion Mods)

Mod system is restrictive and champions even more, period.

“Match game + timer + champion mods”. End of story

Nah, endgame is pretty restrictive with there being Champions, Match-game and burns. You get very little choice in what you run for endgame content. First you got to run a champion capable weapon then you got to make sure you are matching the elements then you should try to match the burn for 25% free extra damage. Honestly after playing so many GM's and doing the Master raids I'm sick and tired of champions and match-game, I want something new.

Champions and match game kinda limit what you can and can't use, so it is pretty restrictive. This has absolutely nothing to do with streamers or YouTubers.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von $hirtless Captain Kirk: 5/11/2022 10:00:56 PMFunny story. Had conqueror since the 1st season it came out. Before guilding was a thing, not a lot of ppl had it. Just some context. I join a fireteam for Glassway using 1 shot sheild bash build, OL nades, AB Scout, Plug One, and Gally. Wearing an emblem showing like a 395k score for the strike with conquer equipped. Dude asks "Have you ever even ran a GM bro?" I said take a harder look my guy. The answer is screaming at you from like 5 angles. I explained why I used what I used. He said cool. Proceeded to school this fool the entire strike and get him his 1st clear. Chances are if you're using a typical loadout, YOU are the noob, lack creativity, and get all your bs from you tube. Lots of self-aggrandizing low skill players that think they know sht in Destiny. Got one in my clan. Dude tried to tell me when to shoot my fn Gally. Like bro, I've been playing this game 8 years. I'm glad you've been playing for 2 years and discovered how champs work, but STFU!! LOL

17 AntwortenYou know what? I challenge you to use Double Sidearm and A Machine Gun in Lightblade. Show me your “skill”

mad respect for running lament in a GM, I couldn't do it unless its lake. My warlocks cheeks are too slappable
-
Lament is a strong weapon, as is renewals, literally one of the best things to build around in pve full stop.
-
Lfg is about 50/50, typically skilled players don't care unless your running a truly dumb loadout. The mid - lower skilled players typically are the ones who copy and paste and do whatever youtube says despite having little to no experience themselves.
-
Rarely listen to YouTube for gm builds. The mod system is restricting and unfun.

“There’s no meta guns” Arby wants a word.
You can mostly run whatever you want for every gm, with particle gone there’s no “meta guns”.
False. GMs are strictly dictated by whatever champions and champion mods are currently available for that particular season in addition to other modifiers such as Locked Loadouts, Match Game, and even the light level requirement itself. Failure to have the correct gear to follow these will either make them take significantly longer to complete, or outright impossible.
There's nothing wrong with using off-meta gear if it still adheres to those restrictions. In Lament's case, it has anti-barrier, can deal with solar shields, has heavy damage chaining capabilities, and can heal on damage. On the other hand, I would never expect someone to unironically use something like Negative Space or Night Terror because they have no where near the useful utility that Lament has, much less any non-sword heavy. Renewal Grasps will also work in endgame because Duskfield grenades in general are good against ads due to slow/freeze. Larger duskfields that provide dmg resist when inside the AoE will be much more welcoming over something like Shinobu's Vow or Mechaneer's Tricksleeves (especially this season with no sidearm mods).
This is the best meta rn to run around with different set ups and have it work since the particle deconstruction restrictions are gone so don’t let toxic players that try to get you to switch your load outs to help them out since they are lacking in skill hurt your ability to play
If someone wants to run off-meta loadouts then that's fine so long as it works. Unsurprisingly though, the harder the activity, the more items you find failing to meet the requirements of that activity, so you're ultimately going to curate a loadout dedicated to playing and completing that end-game content- the complete opposite of running mostly whatever you want.

Champion mods. It's better than it used to be because of exotics with intrinsic champion mods but it's definitely still restrictive.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Flame: 5/12/2022 3:47:13 PMHere’s on good example, go do Confluxes challenge on master VoG at least once, it’s VERY restrictive. But you haven’t done any master raids though so pretty understandable I guess.

10 AntwortenChampions ruined the PvE experience. The legendary version of the campaign proves you can make PvE difficult without adding these annoying enemies that you can only beat if you have a certain mod on. Good luck doing grandmasters without the required champion mods.
-
I agree with ya but in every GM regardless I bring telesto with me for as clearance

Bearbeitet von Rainstater: 5/12/2022 2:15:11 AMChampions and champion mods restrict player load outs in end game PvE. So your post is actually incorrect in many ways. Because of champions, champion mods and burns your load out choices are very narrow. The less you have stored away in your vault the narrower the choices.

Meta exists for a reason. Sure, you can use whatever, but you shouldn't.

16 AntwortenPlayers are too passive in their playstyle. They're scared of the idea of pushing with a sword in GMs. That's why they stick to hiding the back and their cheese spots with ghally. Because if you ever go down, they fear pushing up and risk a wipe.
