Why is there no way to change the cosmetic look of our Guardians?
To be able to change the hair colour/style, makeup, facepaint, paintjobs of Exos etc wouldn't break the lore of the character if that's what Bungie is afraid of.
I can understand limiting things like not being able to change from a Human to Awoken, or Exo to Human etc or even changing skin colour, but simple cosmetic changes would just give the player a little more connection to their character they may have created way back. (and might want to update a little!)
I know some who lost a few key details in the updated graphics - scars and eye colours were lost (like blind eyes and such) If they can change that for us, then why cant we change it ourselves.

I need to change my characters look as it looked decent then the Beyond Light exo update came out and made it look like I hit randomize

What's crazy is i tried recreating my warlock again just so i could get a nice closeup of her face and it's impossible. The faceshape options dont match what i have and frankly i'm thankful as they are not great options.

A decent ponytail is really all I've ever wanted for my female characters. Tired of this short hair butch look.

Agreed- my hunter used to look like me until the face model and eye color changed when we moved to D2. Still doesn't look terrible fortunately, but i would like to have my original appearence back. Something about having the appearence changed even when we could 'carry over' characters is a little off-putting

1 AntwortenThere is if you move all your stuff off that character and then delete it you can remake it. But then you have to redo all the quest for the stasis super and aspects and its a really pain in the -blam!- and not worth it to change minor issues with your characters looks or gender. Thats what bungie has used as an excuse for years for not really doing anything about that issue also something about if they did the game might crash uncontrollably being that the current engine couldn't handle the stress of people editing preexisting assets in real time or something like that.

4 AntwortenA character editor has been requested since Y1 of D1. A couple years ago it was mentioned that work was being done on the editor. Then nothing more was said. At this point do not expect an editor anytime soon.
