The game is around 5 years old now but yet doesn’t have the basic thing in most games were if you jump while on a moving platform you keep the momentum so you stay on the platform while jumping? Even for supers,barricades and wells they should still stay with the platform.
Hell mantling which is a thing that saves you from falling cant be done to any platform moving or capable of moving.
Honestly this is a basic thing in games and its kinda just weird how its not in a 5 year old game with live service especially when moving platforms are used so often In Activities

21 AntwortenBut that wouldnt make sense. Rift is a pool of energy that erupts from the specific part of the world you are on...like leylines...it said in a specific exotic. It wouldnt make sense if it started moving. Same with barricade...you produce a floating wall of light..

4 AntwortenIt might be a newer game but they used fragments of an engine first used in 2001. Great gunplay and graphics, but beyond that it's old, cumbersome and it shows in the game. It doesn't even have the capability of buying/selling/deleting using a quantity input.

What about the animation when a player places a relic ball inside something. Why does the ball disappear from the hand of the character during the animation and why does it look as if the character places the ball somewhere above or besides the opening where the relic is to be placed? Kills the immersion

2 AntwortenAhh this expansion keeps getting better and better. More areas where a well and a bubble won't work. I can't get enough of it. Just need to buff Rhulk to destroy Wells and Bubbles instantly and I'll put Vow of the disciple at my number 1 raid experience.

4 AntwortenNot only has this never been an issue for me in Destiny, but I have actively used moving platforms as a way to boost movement speed. First thing that comes to mind is the Deep Six Gambit map where you can use the rotating platforms to easily pick up a ton of speed when jumping to the next area on the map. Conversely, if you are playing The Communion mission from Witch Queen, if you try running and jumping on the bridge as it is being moved towards you, unless you jump instantly, you will be pushed backwards from the backwards momentum from the bridge. Destiny 2 has been pretty notorious in my opinion for maintaining momentum of characters while moving, it is why there have been so many ways to get insanely high movement through sword skating, sparrow skating, and abuse of abilities (Phoenix Dive, Icarus Dash, Shatterdive, etc.) I honestly have zero idea what you are talking about. If you have a specific example, let me know.

15 AntwortenMeh. I agree on barricades and rifts, but not on the jumping. If you were to stand on top of a car and jump, you would likely not be under the car when you land. Supposed to be realistic to an extent. Although very few games actually get that right (Destiny with very little momentum whatsoever, and others way too much). Anchoring the barricades or rifts to a surface would be a very nice thing to have, and would be something I’d totally support if Bungie really wanted this.
