D2 LFG for the new raid is completely dead. Theres your outcome for mechanic heavy raids.
Like for real. It's the first week after contest mode and the biggest D2 LFG discord on a friday night and during the day on saturday is completely dead. Almost as dead as the garden LFG was 2 years after it came out.
So what do the elitists say now? Mechanic heavy raids for the regular player are the way to go? I guess not. Never seen less interest in a raid in D2 anymore since year 1. Usually you can't copy the join code fast enough from LFG posts because of the post spam during the first 4-5 weeks of a new raid, this time theres like 1 post every 2 minutes LOL.
This one turned off soo many players with its constant time crunches, different specific roles, wipe mechanics on anything, 27 symbols with different callouts from every group.
This is just not the right community for raids like this. And i stand by that. Catering to content creators ruins this game.

The fireteams page is filled with less than one minute ago posts, I'm not spending 4 minutes scrolling to see where it stops. What're you on about? This raids nothing compared to last wish or even garden if you ask me. Third encounters the only one I imagine LFG teams to struggle with, but even with me teaching 3 people yesterday we third tried it. Communicate with your fireteam. Stop acting like its the raids fault you can't.

Once I saw the raid weapons on light.gg I said no to doing this raid. I’ll just wait for the returning d1 raid because I know it’ll be worth it for the rewards and it’ll be a fun experience

Just checked LFG throughout the companion app and there are more that 30 fireteams currently looking for people (all posted within last 5 minutes).

I just told the guys I am not doing this again, I don't have that kind of free time to do these kinds of raids. I rather just deal with extreme overwhelming forces than having to remember symbols every weekend to get around it. 27 frigging symbols? Are you kidding me? No thanks. End of the day it is a FPS game, not interested in this much puzzling. I'll give credit to the visuals of it though, it is amazing.

But I will be damned to not speak in defense of a raid that has been nothing but an enjoyable challenge. Though I arrived late to this DLC. I was there at day one. Never made it pass the first encounter. I waited for the contest to be over so that I could properly explore and learn it. Even still I have trouble but nothing I can't handle. I learn from each misadventure and successful run.

1 AntwortenI dont care about lfg, i just wanna find people who wanna try it together who know eachother, i don't care how fast or how strong someone is and can run it eyes closed I WANT to struggle with my friends, set a whole weekend to do it AND FAIL, to motivate us to get stronger and try again, whats wrong with that? i think the problem is the way destiny advertises the raid and this game, they make it seem like a regular video game and the raid is the boss at the end, but you can't get to a raid with only 30hrs under the belt

People clear it on Wednesday after reset, the raid is not even remotely hard or challenging in any way, it just requires you to read symbols or type them in chat.

Raids in Destiny 1 were a blast but they've gotten progressively worse and worse as the years have gone by. I enjoy hard content, but the content has to be [i]good[/i] and it has to be [i]fun[/i]. Shooting 27 symbols on a friggin Rosetta Stone is [i]not[/i] fun. Fighting an awesome boss in Elden Ring like Malenia the Severed...the Blade of Miqella...and the master of the stars General Radahn and being pushed hard...[i]that's fun[/i]. That's where I will be today after originally planning to raid. Lost in Elden Ring. I don't have the time for boring and comvoluted symbol input simulators.

Honestly i see where your coming from i really do but Raids are End game activities and are supposed to be Very difficult & challenging mechanics wise, look at the raid from Destiny 1 Wrath of the machine. I Absolutely Loved that raid but i liked how difficult it was and that everyone needed to be on the same page & on the ball or else it team would wipe, but if you want to raid make your own raid group. But if you put up an lfg post make sure you state that you've never done that raid but your willing to learn it will take time to get the mechanics down yes as not everybody learns mechanics as fast as other, but as long as your honest in the lfg post saying you've never done the said raid but are willing to learn you'll probably be able to get a pretty understanding team to help ya.

I'm seeing way more people playing Vow then the other raids maybe VoG has more but I can't exactly tell. Also this is very like other raids it's most active at the start of a week then becomes inactive after Thursday plus the raid is super easy heck I and a few teams I did this with didn't know the callouts and we only wiped up to 2 times per an encounter and one time it was because somebody rushed in not thinking the boss would activate

I enjoy mechanic heavy raids as it really shows who is paying attention and who are the people who usually call dibs on add clear every chance they can. We haven't had a mechanic heavy encounter, in my opinion of course, since Val Ca'our in Spire of Stars. Mechanic difficulty is much better than artificial difficulty like we have in a Grandmaster Nightfall for example, plus being more rewarding upon completion. Secondly, where do you look for LFG raids? I've had zero issues finding fresh or checkpoint raids to complete. Are you in an active clan? If not, would you like an invite to one? We are nearly at capacity but we raid almost every night and would love to welcome someone looking to get raids done. For example, we had 7 Day 1 raid teams competing.
