I wanna get better at PvP so I can play more trials, but I cannot improve. I’m still just as bad as when I first started playing D2 PvP. If somebody could help me and tell me what I’m doing wrong, that would be much appreciated. Currently sitting at a 1.28 KDA and it drops with every game played.

Here's my advise. Stop playing. Seriously. Find a new game. Enjoy life. It's not worth the effort.

Well there are just too many things you gotta learn on your own but the very best tip I can give players is stick with your team and never ever stay out in the open. Its possible to do well with every single weapon in the game if you use this advice, obviously you will do even better if you use the meta. Learn how to team shoot and learn when to take cover as soon as the focused fire comes at you, its really easy and doesn’t take a long time to master. The only thing you gotta worry about is your radar for whenever someone is coming for a flank, make sure you are in cover and crouch and wait for the flanker to show up. You can use fusions or shotguns to deal with flankers, after that then carry on and help out your team win their fights. Shoot anywhere your team is shooting at, any form of damage really helps and never ever go against a 1v2-6 unless you are literally in the very best position where you can get kills and not suddenly get picked off. Otherwise just peek and shoot or simply retreat back to your team. As soon as you see a ping on your radar, don’t rush at them, they could be baiting you around corners with a shotgun or fusion. Instead retreat into a favorable position and wait for them to push you instead. I hope this helps!

Hey brother, if you don’t know who I am let me introduce myself. I’m Nax, I’m a 3.0 KD / Top 1% player. I do coaching as well as Trials help and carries. There’s many paths for a player to follow on their road to improvement, however the best place to start is at the fundamentals. What I’m about to tell you is aplicable not only is Destiny, but every game you game. Do me a favor and remember these two pillars of video improvement. Game Mechanics and Game knowledge. An example of Game Mechanics is aiming, and an example of Game Knowledge is positioning. Learning and understanding the difference between both of these pillars and knowing how to improve them will make you a strong player. An example I give my students is this; if you KNOW you should go for a flank but can’t hit your shots, you will fail. If you CAN hit your shots but don’t know how to position, you will fail. I can’t go in depth with out typing an entire essay and that’s the reason I do coaching. If you’re interested I do coaching on Fiverr under the name ItsNax. I’m happy to see you wanting to improve, it’s an amazing mentality so keep up the positivity!

Watch good destiny players on YouTube. I learned a lot by how they play. You will also improve by simply playing the game.

Look at your set-up. Not your weapons or armor. I mean monitor. I don't know what you use but a decent computer monitor makes a world of difference, especially in PvP. As for weapons find what suits your playstyle. I love the 260rpm scouts. I use them the majority of the time. So to be successful I had to learn their range, pros and cons. Then I had to find another weapon that pairs with it. This varies week to week it seems. For trials find a team. Work together and practice every chance you can. Go into rumble for solo practice. Private matches help a lot. Last just have fun. It's a video game after all. If it's not fun, take a break.

Positioning: make sure when you’re shootings you can’t get laned from another angle. Play your corners. Get used to all the weapons: shotguns, snipers, fusions, linear fusions. You’ll learn to switch what your using to counter or to defend against what the enemy is doing. Know when to run. This game will spawn you then a whole team behind you, keep track of where you’re team is and go to them.

2 AntwortenGo into private matches to learn names of map locations (name is on the left side of screen), good for callouts when you play in a team. That can help with map knowledge and then you can also practice jumps and how to travel around the map. Playing in the mornings can be easier than in the evenings. My favorite is weekend mornings. Using meta weapons and a strong offensive super definitely helps. Use what works, use want Bungie gives you that is strong and don't mind what people say about "cheap" weapons. Take what's yours! If you cant find good people in LFG to play with, its probably because their skill level is better than yours (no offense meant), I also run into this issue. I have an approximate 1.2 KD and 1.7 KDA. I try to use solo matchmaking help me find friends. If you play some matches and you like one or two people you played with, send them a "GG" good game, and ask if they would like to party up and play together. Why I think this is a good idea, Bungie matched you up with them, they probably have a similar skill level and are in a similar spot in grinding glory. Use bonus points to your advantage. If you play 3 games a week, you can get a 120 glory bonus. If you play all 12 weeks, that’s 1440 free points. You only need 660 points to get to fabled. Practice in Rumble or QP new weapons and supers Practice in Rumble your one on one skills. If you cant kill one person by yourself, it will be much harder for you to help out your team. Maybe invite other people you see struggling in PvP and invite them to play private matches and work on one on one skills or 4 vs 4 or whatever. Grow together. Probably common knowledge, If you are the only one with a super, that can be a great time to use yours. No one around to counter you easily with a super of their own. Also you start generating orbs for your team mates so they can get their supers going. Watch Youtube strategy videos from Coolguy, True Vanguard, CammyCakes, Aztecross Gaming. Some of these guys even have their own Discord channels where you can LFG with their fans. I had good success with Coolguys. Some videos to improve game play. https://youtu.be/74e3mByi0d0 https://youtu.be/Be3RwVKO-Go https://youtu.be/sHqiawMXHtI https://youtu.be/3lkQ5ovg4t4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3RXO22ct2w https://youtu.be/hRrLSbizeKk https://youtu.be/oEqrWYQMoAM Super Mods, weapon scavenger perks, targeting Mods, Reload Mods, Dexterity and resilience Mods. Masterwork armor for more defense while in super form. On console, I use jumper controls. It allows me to punch and jump without having to take my thumb off of the look stick (practice new controls in pve, try doing a jumping punch (or shotgun) on someone's head). I also use an Elite controller, it allows me to put a button on the bottom of the controller so I can crouch or slide without taking my thumbs off the sticks. I recently started putting a button under the controller for the action button so I can shoot while I revive or disactivate a bomb and not be a sitting duck. The elite controller allows me to play other games and make the button layout identical to destiny so my buttons don't get mixed up in my head.

That is actually not the worst kd/a. But if you want to get better at Trials the best thing to do is probably try to play on a team with the same people as much as possible. It doesn't have to be the same 2 people but if you have a clan or something you should try to play with the same rotation of people as often as you can.

Step 1) Find Weapons you are Comfortable with. Step 2) Find Perk Combos that you are Comfortable with. Step 3) Find a Subclass you Kick ### at. Step 4) Find 2 Exotics Armor/Weapon that Pair well and Synergize well with Each other. Step 5) Test in Rumble. Step 6) if Rumble Successful, Skip to Step 8. Step 7)If not Repeat Steps 1-4 Again. Step 8) Test in Elimination. If Successful Skip Step 9. Step 9) If not Successful, Repeat Steps 1-2 & 4. Step 10) Test in Survival. This is where if you make it, then you've gotten better at PVP. Congratulations, hope you get Flawless 👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.

Idk what to do to get better. I’m probably average at PvP. Put me in control, or survival, or other playlists and I can hold my own. I can get a decent amount of kills, but I’ll get just as many deaths. Sometimes I’ll have really, really good plays where I outplayed someone, or won a 1v2 or 1v3 (rarely happens) and sometimes I’ll have matches with more than 25 kills. The most I had in one match was 41 kills, although this was around when Witherhoard came out, so that probably doesn’t mean much lol. But anyway, I can do good in a lot of the playlists. I excel when I’m playing with friends and we actually focus and communicate. I think the biggest thing I know that I need to work on is map knowledge and know the high traffic spots, and then I need to work on not always running out in the open. I tend to have the mindset of “oh I can get this last shot off and I’ll win” and it ALWAS backfires in my face and has cost a lot of matches. But throw me in Trials and Elimination and it’s like I’m a damn potato and have no clue what to do. Even with good player on my team that have been flawless, I always screw things up. Sure, I’ve had good plays and wins in Trials, but the losses dwarf those moments. I do t k ow why Trials is so much more difficult, I just can’t get the hang of it. I’d be willing to bet if Trials was any other game mode than elimination, I may handle my own better. Maybe not. I may just suck.

Watch good players on your platform of choice and try to incorporate some of the things they do into your game.

You are going to die a lot but it will be worth it in the long run. 1) Forget about KDA 2) Start by working on a specific weakness i.e aiming. 3) Engage guardians but make sure you hit the shot (even if it is body) the concept is to build a habit of actually hitting your target. 4) Do it in Rumble as clash/control is usually heavy and full fireteams Good aim alone doesn’t win games, once you get into a good rhythm make sure you don’t revert back to your old habits. Lastly, try to stay focused and don’t let “auto pilot” take over.
