I see ONE playstation exclusive gun, mission, quest, strike, pvp map, or even a gambit map. Im done.
Title basically. I lived through the bullshit that was D1 as well as D2Y1 and it was awful. You'd see all these good guns or cool missions and have to wait a year to experience them. But im finally drawing my line in the sand. Playstations past of forcing exclusives for Destiny and their current history of stopping crossplay doesnt really sell me on your tweet about uniting friends around the world. I saw the FAQ btw still putting this out here.

Yep here we go again. I can already feel the disappointment coming. If there are Playstation exclusives (again) it's literally like Bungie giving all other platform players the finger! Don't get me wrong though I hope platform exclusives don't happen and Bungie makes it good for all but... Money talks. So, we'll see.

Here’s a link to a Forbes article arguing that it makes very little sense for Bungie to institute console exclusive content at the behest of Sony: https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2022/02/01/why-destiny-2-doing-ps5-exclusive-content-would-not-make-any-sense/ In short, platform exclusive weapons would create clear balance issues while exclusive Strikes or Crucible maps would exacerbate issues with matchmaking load times. The author of the article does not touch on the possibility of Sony exclusive vanity items (ornaments, shaders or emblems) but I imagine Bungie will avoid creating such items as it would only undermine their attempts to create a cross-platform community among the player base. Sony likes to lock stuff for a year and I'm not supporting that crap anymore. If the games cross platform then it better be the same for everyone. I know WQ will be safe but I'm worried about the future.

3 AntwortenI see now the possibility getting again DLCs of Forsaken quality which was only possible thx to Activision. Sony will want money for their investment and they know that will only happen by satisfied clients willing to pay. Will we see Destiny in the movies? Who knows. Good for the game. People knowing how to run this business taking over again. It can only become better.

3 AntwortenI really feel like platform exclusives are just something to be mad about for the sake of being mad about. In reality I genuinely cannot remember any of the platform exclusives in d1 except hawkmoon and the dust palace and they were both all exclusives. Hawkmoon was something that xbox people did miss out on because by the time it was available to them it wasnt as good, but thats a sandbox issue not an issue with exclusives. Aside from the uncommon case of hawkmoon, platform and preorder exclusives have all been pretty much all cosmetic.

As soon as i heard Microsoft tried to buy bungie i was opened to Sony doing so an it happened i just want a better game an nothing more so im all for it can care less about exclusives an Xbox since they got destiny 2 on game pass along with the DLCs i believe. Plus the weapons might be trash like they always been now if gally was a exclusive then people can complain about that especially if we get ten pvp maps an ten strikes😂

Bearbeitet von SolarCerberuS: 2/1/2022 10:11:26 PMAt best I think exclusives will be limited to cosmetics, which sucks but it is what it is, but if anything gameplay wise is exclusive Ill easily leave the franchise behind, plenty of other games in my library and plenty more decent upcoming games will easily fill the void. Destiny could have been far better with simple changes like ingame teamfinder, matchmaking for at the very least dungeons and it took them far too long to add freelance to trials and still no freelance for reg pvp. Simple mistakes like these have driven away many and not retained others as long as the game could have and any Sony exclusives will likely be the final nail in the coffin for many others. Sony has an oppertunity here to capitalise and improve something merely passable to something that could grow into epic proportions. However exclusivity beyond the light and dark saga isnt the correct path for that to occur and will heavily limit potential imo.
