Lost sector exotic drop rate is abysmal.
I have just completed a legend lost sector over 35 times in a row and I have not had a single exotic drop ... I'm sure people have experienced worse, but this is an abysmal rate and unfair on the player imo

Yep I did about 80 legendary and 20 master helmet lost sectors and didn't get a bakris helmet.

It is a poor system for sure and it is designed around players with time on their hands. The drops should be guaranteed with the RNG being based around all the leg armor and god rolls that can occur. Bungie at its stinginess like usual.

So I can see why they have them with low drop rates

I did a few runs for Wormgod's Caress and got nothing. I then went to Dares to get my rank up for the last few cosmetics and got 5 or so exotics arms I had on my list. Funny that Dares of Eternity is a better exotic farm for me than Master Lost Sectors.

Honestly, farming Master LS’s wouldn’t be as mich of a pain in the -blam!- were it not for Overload Champions being bugged af. Today’s LS being one of the few that I needed to run to get Manacles and the more I deal with Overload Captains teleporting, getting stunned and then immediately healing back to full once they reset from their stagger and not letting the next overload round register to stun them again, the more I really just wanna throw legos at the idiots responsible.

That’s why you take breaks in between I usually take a break every 10 completions to avoid getting frustrated because when I get frustrated I don’t play very well or smart at all

I get an exotic drop almost every time I do my first run. Only had to do 2 runs on a single legend sector once. Check the burn again, maybe you're running the wrong sub-class.

We need more ways to target farm exotics. More options would be great. Also, we should be able to pick an exact exotic somehow. Maybe a quest from Xur where we need to complete a few end game activities, 3 per week, and can choose an exact exotic we want, since there are so many. Lost sectors are boring and a terrible way to farm a specific exotic.

Farm Masters my dude Exotics drop wayyyy more frequently Your power is high enough Legend to Master is not a whole lot more difficult jus more patience If you need recommended loadouts for each lost sector and for each subclass DM me I have run them all solo flawless

What activities have good drop rates ???? lol Been doing this awhile now so here is the pattern when the “new” lost sector exotics are released First character get within 3-4 runs Second character get within 5-8 runs Third character get after 15 runs or more Soon after the drop rates seem to get reduced as I did about 20 a few weeks and got one

They need to stop tying the new exotics to those activities, I have a bunch of new light friends who want some of them but can’t because they’re extremely underpowered and have no well and charged with light mods to help them.

YES!! The grind is awful: 1. It has to drop the exotic 2. It must be your desired exotic 3. It would likely drop with "collections" like stats 4. It better has its stats arranged the way you need it or else delete. What are the odds??

It’s rng my titans took 14 runs to get fallen star but hunter took 1 to get occ

Personally I think they should make it so lost sector exotics are guaranteed to be new ones if you don’t have them, and world drop exotics should be able to give duplicates. This way they could make it so exotics such as necrotic grips are not locked behind lost sectors and can still be acquired elsewhere, but it would be much more efficient to farm for them in lost sectors because you would be guaranteed to get new stuff.

Lost sector exotic drop rates are fine, it's the rng that's abysmal. I typically get an exotic every 5 or 6 lost sector runs, very rarely has it taken me 10 to get an exotic to drop. The issue isn't the drop rates, its that it's rng. If everything has a maximum amount of runs for a drop, the problem wouldn't exist.

Not killing all champions within a lost sector will decrease your chances of getting an exotic by quite a lot.

It can be a pain. Another gripe is that only getting glimmer or nothing at all is NOT a proper reward for such an activity.

Bungie is very stingy with drops for exotic armor farming. I mean seriously it takes many runs sometimes to get a single drop and even then it’s most likely a shite roll.

I think bungie secretly nerfed the drop rates of exotics in those lost sectors.

It is frustrating, it took me around 20 tries to get the Star-Eater Scales when they came out. But now if I’m trying to grind for better stats on any exotic, and the item is not dropping within 3 tries I’ll switch characters or go back to orbit and wait a little while, that usually works perfect.
