Prior to this current season I regularly hit and maintained a 1.2 - 1.4 k/d in standard crucible however, since the new season it’s fallen well below 1. So, what’s changed ? My playing style and weapons choices a similar I just don’t seem to be able to cut the mustard anymore.
Are the additional Play Station players better than the Xbox users I used to only play against ? Are people using aim bots ? (Some players are regularly making impossible shots) Or am I just getting old ?
Whichever it is it’s incredibly demoralising 😔

everyone is huddling and holding hands right now because they are scared since they have cool downs on abilities and slower supers

Bearbeitet von TheArtist: 1/6/2022 2:17:40 AMSkill creep. 1. CBMM. 2. Low player numbers (only 298k yesterday) 3. High skill players are making it a hostile environment for everyone else so, like you, they are being driven out of the game. So all that’s left are sweats and pubstompers, and a game that can’t replace the losses. Pve is still drawing nearly a million players a day, but Crucible is slowly bleeding out.. This is the same process that kept destroying Trials.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Lotusfly V: 1/6/2022 5:22:15 AMMost average / below average players are not playing beyond Tuesday reset. QP PVP has become pretty sweaty and full of teams and cheese loadouts. If you want to play solo these days you need to be pretty focused or you will get rolled. My KD has not changed this season but my win% has gone down as I seem to be getting worse teammates and more quitters. The pool of solo talent in lobbies is getting pretty shallow. If anyone thinks PVP will be casual these days, they are mistaken.

I'm already old and was questioning the same things not too long ago! Then I was called a liar, a below average casual whiner, and a "0.7" (wish I was referred to as 007 though LOL). Guardian, you and many others are experiencing the same thing. I try to get my "weapons testing" agenda done against Guardians in regular PvP as a way of having fun, but it has become unplayable. Lag, aimbots, stacks, increased respawn times (and team spawn trapping) have made it nearly impossible to even get a meaningful effect on my newly acquired rolls. This nonsense really kicked in hard at the start of S15, and since the 30th Anniversary, it has gone from infuriating to exasperating. Good luck mate! One way of trying to get a more even score is to hit up clanmates and just go nuts in Private Matches....maybe you should give that a try?

4 AntwortenWorst things in PVP right now: 1. Cheaters everywhere 2. Removal of Skill Based Match Making 3. -blam!- match making Cheaters, sweats and youtube-ers are the only ones still enjoying PVP. Frustrating experience for recreational players
-
2 AntwortenThe problem is cronus zen and xim no recoil, a lot of aimasist, rapid fire and many other mods

1 AntwortenIt’s only stacks right now which is odd

You know, I haven’t been able to pin it down until now, but right around the time that Cross-play was enabled was when PvP (especially) 6v6 took a noticeable dip in quality. Specifically, hit detection/registration is like sludge now, with the animations for things finishing before it is even registered. You can punch someone and they take a full second to register the damage, giving them plenty of time to kill you. I’ve straight up punched people through solid objects, had projectiles kill me seconds after making contact, whiffed Novas clean through enemies. The delay in registration for EVERYTHING is noticeably longer now. This often means that kills become trades and vice versa as you have a little more leniency with respect to TtK. Even though you should be dead, you still have a quarter second or so to pop off that shotgun, land that melee or chuck that grenade, etc. Trials and other 3v3 modes don’t seem to have this problem to the same degree.

im pretty sure that theres a lot of non detectable cheating/manipulation going on

14 AntwortenA pubstomp crucible is not a sustainable model. Noobs leave in droves because they don't like getting crushed. There is no new blood since any new blood gets stomped into oblivion. On the other hand the number of sweats constantly increase because of skill creep and other sweats joining in on the fun. You then arrive at a point where there are barely any noobs left and a bunch of sweats. Consequently, crucible becomes more and more sweaty. It will only get worse from here on out. This would have happened a lot sooner if it weren't for the fact that Bungie artificially populates their dead crucible with PVE players grinding for PVE stuff

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Manaan1138: 1/7/2022 3:00:03 AMJust today, I've been shot in the head several times by snipers while they were sliding out of cover or at point-blank range by players using Lorentz Driver WHILE all of them were being shot at. It makes you wonder how many legit players are playing the game right now.
-
There has been connection issues since they implemented crossplay. That added to the fact that hand cannos have a ridiculous aim assistance and everybody is running a shotgun or fusion riffle which are both ridiculously op makes the crucible feel like mayhem. I just quitted playing this game untill something is done
-
1 AntwortenLower than 2.0 kd. You're opinions don't matter.
Satire
-
2 AntwortenGenerally PS players are 10 times worse than Xbox players. The crossplay connection is really bad though and fusion rifles are super popular which essentially erase the skill gap. That’s probably why
-
4 AntwortenProbably more that casual people aren’t playing crucible. Not much reason to right now, happens during low points. Ps users better than Xbox players tho lol
-
2 AntwortenPvP? You mean Lorentz driver simulator lmfao

5 AntwortenIf you’re worried about stats in a video game, there are probably more prevalent issues in your life that you need to examine first. I find the prevalence of this attachment to inconsequential metrics of self worth disturbing to say the least.

9 AntwortenIts a teamshot meta. The ability nerfs the community happily embraced are now rearing its ugly head. You can't fight 2 or more recklessly anymore and your team has to be willing to engage which nobody does if you aren't stacked. Solo q is nolonger safe and the community asked for it Bungie already knew this would happen because this is exactly what year 1 was minus the double primary which we may be going to once the special ammo nerf comes which we all know it is meaning this teamshot meta will stay. Light 3.0 is pointless if you will never see the abilities.

5 AntwortenOr you were always bad?
Are the additional Play Station players better than the Xbox users I used to only play against ?
Huh? Psn players are bot the majority of the time...
-
Bearbeitet von Demon_XXVII: 1/6/2022 4:47:50 AMIt’s not just PS players against XB It’s the other way around too Cross play & this latest ‘abilities’ update has truly phuccked things up! Best thing to do Don’t play it Let the decrease in player numbers be the thing that Bungie notice Cancellations of WQ be another
-
3 AntwortenI don't know what weapons and things you like to use, but the meta has become more exclusive than ever before. Ability builds, even though they weren't really that good apart from Shatterdive spam, are all but dead; there's no reason to not use a movement Exotic now. Shotguns somehow keep avoiding nerfs - we've seen Snipers get big changes to AA, GLs nerfed to have less splash damage and high impact Fusions got obliterated - and Hand Cannons still reign supreme. Unless you're an absolute god with Messenger and/or a Sniper, there is no room to use anything else. Rather, trying to use anything else is a thoroughly miserable experience. All it does is play into the hands of the sweatlords who think Stompies are skillful and that Shotgun aping is actually just outplaying your opponent.
-
There's def a larger ps player base which leads to worse connection issues. However, I'd argue that ps has made the player pool a bit less sweaty overall. My seasonal kd was always in the 3.5 range and is now almost a 5.0 this season and that's including a ton of trials and rumble matches. Also, I almost exclusively solo queue in regular crucible.
-
Totally agree. I'm in the UK and it seems there are PS outweighs XBox by a huge margin. Since crossplay started each match has a majority PS, 9 to 3 seems a regular ratio. And they are all pvp stallions! Bendy bullets and Picard manouvers are everywhere. If nothing else it can be really funny :)

Yeah, cause it was so wonderful before. 🤣😂🤪

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von A_mo: 1/5/2022 4:48:35 AMHave you tried Clash? It has more Lorentz than Momentum and more mayhem than Mayhem.
