After some testing on Kalli with rockets seeing which is better in 1 burst, I noticed just how awful eyes has become as a raid exotic. Ghorn did 301k damage, ascendancy with 0 damage buffs and no taken/boss spec did 231k damage and eyes of tomorrow did a medicore 193k. This rocket is a waste of a slot now because ghorn can do what it was made to do but better, it can do more damage against bosses, delete groups of adds and kill champions with ease. EOT really needs some love because it's been bad for too long.
Edit: Although I said ghorn add clears better than eyes of tomorrow, I will admit I was wrong in that as many people pointed out how much this thing blows them up. Thank you all for being respectful in this post
Edit 2: After Daemon White pointed out Eyes of Tomorrow actually does more damage than a rocket launcher with boss spec, I realized eyes actually can keep up. I too was wrong with this here and thank you all for pointing out how good eyes can be in something like a GM or master raid/dungeon.
Edit 3: I retested this because I tested it through how many rockets each could get off and now limited it to 6 which all rockets could get off before dps ended and came up on these numbers.
Ascendancy boss spec 6 shots: 187,230
EoT 6 shots: 193,392
Ghorn 6 shots: 241,951
Truth 6 shots: 132,222
Two Tailed fox 6 shots: 233,642
As a result it's actually truth that really needs a buff, it's -blam!- and two tailed fox is actually very good

2 AntwortenGambit cant afford to take anymore hits.

1 AntwortenIt’s beyond stupid that it even had that bullshit nerf on it at the start
-
Hate to break it to you but Ghorn was released with a 66% damage REDUCTION Against TRUE BOSSES. Just like EoT…
-
5 AntwortenWhat about Two-Tailed Fox?
-
How about huge nerf to all of them 6 months after? Because that is what you will get lol.
-
2 AntwortenWhat people fail to realize is that eyes will never be the top-tier damage exotic because of its extreme ease of use. Deathbringer is the highest dmg rocket due to the difficulty of lining up a shot, detonating it, and hoping the seekers target the boss. Eyes has 6 missiles that can be shot from behind cover, and precisely target any enemies you want to take down. Eyes is an add clear weapon, and top tier at it. Nothing in the game can clear an entire room of beefy ads in a SINGLE shot. Nothing can come close to its destructive room-destroying capabilities

Yeah it’s not as good as it was . I’m going to try and get a hothead with clown cartridge as it’s an absolute beast at the moment.
-
Def should be buffed. But I think it’s utility is it’s reason to use over any other rockets. Like a long range Wardcliff (RIP)

1 AntwortenIts because they nerfed it, then cozmo or dmg responded say no its not nerfed pls provde vids to prove this. and a number of player responded with multiple dmg test videos to prove it was nerf'd, they then never responded back.

5 AntwortenI'm betting on the "our data shows Gjallarhorn is overused in endgame activities" nerf message in about another 2 months.
-
Don’t worry it’s good in gambit the true pristine endgame
-
6 AntwortenDon't worry - G-horn will be nerf'd next season after all the hype dies down. That's what they do with all newly introduced exotics - particularly when people cry about it
-
Well at least it’s good in gambit lol
-
Exotic launchers are better for majors not bosses. Eot does way more damage to majors than any legendary rocket no matter what perks it has I tested it myself. For some reason bungie nerfs exotic damage to bosses. Gally probably has higher dps against bosses tho just bc of 2 in the mag. Another thing to note about gally is it’s way inconsistent some times wolf pack rounds double proc and sometimes there’s no impact damage bc it’s proximity like truth. But yeah I agree gally is the best rocket in the game by far, done on purpose to sell the expansion

Sales driven power creep nerf in about two seasons

Bearbeitet von Kascott91: 1/3/2022 8:33:44 PMYeah as soon as they announced ghorn I thought of eot but this is bungie they're not gonna buff eot they will nerf ghorn

4 AntwortenLook at this guy, out here expecting things to get better. Good on you, brother. Ill drink one for you while you die the slow death all of us OGs have already.

7 AntwortenNo. Power-progression is apart of games like this. ...and what you're doing is why OTHER games don't let people hold onto gear forever and try to keep it permanently relevant. Its a game design dead-end that Bungie just refuses to accept.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Daemon White: 1/2/2022 9:10:54 PMEoT is... in a different idea of weapon class. It's not the best at DPS, and there are other add clear weapons that do better in general. However... Eyes is the weapon you want to use if you enter a GM room and don't want that room to exist anymore. As long as you have 4 kills in a single 6-round shot, you have that +50% damage boost. Which means that you're the opening celebration to a room clear in high-end content and Master Raids. Especially with Majors in the area. The idea behind it is to keep clearing rooms to hold that Adaptive Ordnance perk. Then mix in Argent Ordnance on top of Adaptive Ordnance, using Blast Radius to charge up, and there won't be a room in existence that clears out faster. Or if you want to ruin someone's day in Gambit. One shot, team wipe.
-
It's for endgame content where minors and majors are the scariest things in a room.

2 AntwortenMost exotic rockets are sorta meh. Generally serving one use and that’s it.
-
8 AntwortenEveryone forgets about poor Two-Tailed Fox…
-
1 AntwortenI think Eyes could do with a little buff but Truth is the useless one now with G’horn in the game.
-
It would be nice if it had more uses than GMs and locking down Gambit matches. Love the sound it makes too.
