Whenever I play crucible the main two weapons you see on the kill feed are shotguns and fusion rifles because that's all sorry -blam!- players know how to use to get easy kills that don require any skill.
Just rush in, fire, get a kill.
So sick of people always using these two weapons to get kills.

Just my thoughts on this, pellet shotguns are not really OP at the moment. Their range is basically 6-7 meters or less usually. You can back peddle and level them with most primaries. Chaperone is definitely strong however at 12 meters standing, 14 with Roadborn. Fusions are the most toxic thing currently in PvP. The range is almost comical, and there is zero penalty to just pre-charge and stop it around every corner. Fusions aren’t even a “counter” to shotguns … they have 4 times the range of pellet and twice that of Chaperone. That isn’t a counter … that just better. I don’t know if the answer is a nerf to range, adjustment of special ammo economy, make it so once you start charging you cannot stop it, or something else … but Fusions are the worst weapon to play against and the folks who crutch it will stamp their feet and scream “mad cuz bad”.

Shotguns are an iffy thing. They are more balanced now but the real problem is mobility and map design. Fusions need an extra rework to avoid ohks at massive ranges. Maybe a change where charging time dictates how many bolts are used. Think full charge is current dmg but half charge equals half the bolts while not being allowed to cancel the shot. Also a ammo consumption system like pulses where the number of bolts fired uses one ammo each. To offset the ammo change, fusions could receive a 33% total ammo and remove the need to reload because it's a battery. This could allow for new exotic fusions that could hold full charge like a bow with a catalyst that overcharges the burst. Just a throwaway idea for fusions that'll never happen but wouldn't mind if it was tested...

Bearbeitet von Scratch: 1/5/2022 8:52:12 PM1) What would you have other people use for special weapon? 2) What do you use for a special weapon? Serious questions. You want everyone to use sniper rifles? Then someone would complain about being sniped all the time. Or would you just prefer a primary weapons only game type Just trying to understand your point of view Peace

Yeah it's annoying. Those guns kill at absurd ranges and if you think it's annoying, then you're obviously a "bot" who can't use a radar. *Rolls eyes* Honestly, you'd be better off just playing a different game for PvP. Even though there are huge advantages to using specific loadouts (making all other loadouts useless), this toxic community will only suggest fixes that don't break their crutches. "Shotguns kill from range" "Well then we should need how range works" Or they try to bully you into silence, which Bungo is perfectly okay with. Honestly the longer I play this game, the worse the community gets. None of the people disagreeing with you care about anything other than making sure their crutch to high KDs doesn't go away so they actually have to try for a change. Welcome to the culture.

3 AntwortenI see all the shotgun apes needing their crutches downvoted this Funny how Bungie nerfed shotguns, nerfed quickdraw and nerfed sliding and yet all everyone still does is slide shotgun. At least with fusions you have to put in a little more effort to pick up special of the dead body. With shotguns you’re so close you don’t have to worry about it. Just keep aping. Snipers got about 4 nerfs and take more skill than both combined, but when you get a kill, you’re usually too far away to get special. So, the ammo economy is a vastly different experience with the 3 different OHK specials
-
No they don’t. The problem is that the games primaries are underpowered for the speed at which we can move. Which makes it impossible to balance either weapons. Shotguns are oppressive because of it, and fusion rifles are usually kept broken and unusable.

27 AntwortenBearbeitet von Angel: 1/1/2022 5:53:09 PMFirst of all, shotguns don’t need a nerf. At least pellets dont. They already struggle guaranteeing a OHK within 6 meters, anymore and it’s barrel stuff central. It’s because of the shotgun nerfs that slugs have taken over, considering they have no RNG nor a slide penalty, making them free to use if you’re somewhat decent. And fusions got no buffs, but they’re commonly used. Why? Because the one counter(aggressive shotguns) got neutered and indirectly buffed the one gun in kept in check. And the only counter to Fusions currently, is Chaperone, which only exacerbates the situation. The people who constantly complained about shotguns, have put us in a predicament in which we were in a relatively decent balance with shotguns, to now having to deal with an obnoxious Slug(mostly Chaperone and Duality) meta. There is a way to fix this, but 95% of the community doesn’t want to hear it.

I agree. The crucible is just people running around with special weapons only. It’s mind numbing really. Bungie needs to adjust the special ammo economy.
-
12 AntwortenThis is what happens when you have too many players on small maps and nerf abilities. They should add juggler to crucible, this way primary weapon kills spawn special bricks, but special weapon kills don't spawn ammo. Also reduce the duration of special bricks to 10 seconds.
-
1 AntwortenFusions are fine except for Main Ingredient. That thing’s range needs to be toned down a lot
-
3 AntwortenVery funny stompees crutch Shayura crutch
-
They need to be buffed.
-
Remove special scavenger from PvP completely. Boom less special but not horribly so. Fusions need to be toned down they're absurd. Shotguns got reigned in pretty hard already, slugs like chaperone are still ridiculous tho.
-
That's just the Special ammo economy being overpowered. If people can ape, kill, pick up ammo with scavengers, and continue making monkey noises as they find their next victim, then it's a cycle that will never end. 1 shot, 1 kill, 2+ ammo in return. If they die, so what? They have 2 bullets and start the rampage again. Special ammo needs to stop dropping from kills. Maybe give a higher starting amount to compensate, maybe give special ammo on heavy pickup too, but stopping ammo drops on kills will help immensely while allowing the special ammo weapons to stay strong.

Bearbeitet von hate n payne: 1/2/2022 8:49:25 PMAsk for maps to be changed, lobby balancing and primaries to be tuned versus nerfs to specials. If players continue to ask for nerfs about special weapons that aren’t really the problem, Bungie is going to continue to neuter our power in D2. It is bad enough that power leveling means nothing while underwhelming and content unspoken about are getting no love or tuned randomly for no justifiable reason. Imagine if Pulse Monitor proc with Kill Clip after a kill while you are weaken. Imagine if Trench Barrel worked with Ranged Melees. Why do Special weapons have flinch mods?? Why do female characters all look anorexic? These are the issues in game that need to be addressed.

2 AntwortenWhen are people going to learn that when you Nerf something then something else is going to be that powerful and then everyone's going to complain about that needs to be nerfed and it's just an endless cycle
-
2 AntwortenI think specials should be changed to Destiny 1’s style of ammo pickup. At least in that case it wouldn’t be so easy to spawn, get an easy kill, then die. But yeah toning them down in crucible wouldn’t hurt.
-
25 AntwortenSorry but only fusion need the nerf
-
1 AntwortenPeople will keep b*tching about shotguns until their range gets nerfed to be lower than even 4th Horseman. These forums are dogsh*t.
-
16 AntwortenShotguns have been nerfed 6x since NF/Luna era. It’s not a weapon archetype problem, it’s too much special ammo
-
These weapons take no skill to dodge as well if you would just keep your eyes open lol
-
Instead of blaming the weapons for your deaths, perhaps you should take responsibility for your own game and learn how to play in order not to get murdered by the shotgun or fusion rifle user?
-
1 Antwortensays the hunter lol

13 AntwortenYou do realize its a high risk high reward system for those weapons right? Yes they can one shot kill but theres no room for error on them or youre dead. Didnt time your pre charge on the fusion perfectly? Dead. Miss a few fusion bolts? Dead. Slide in for a shotgun kill but youre just barely out of range or you mess up your shot or mess up closing the distance? Dead. Thats the trade off, simple as that. Theres plenty of ways to counter, yes they are annoying but honestly any heavily used weapon will be considered annoying, no matter what. You wanna go back to the auto rifle meta? Lol
-
I don’t think it’s necessarily the weapons that are the problem. I think certain movement exotics need to be toned down a tad because right now it’s really easy to close a gap and get into that sweet OHK range.
