The Other Half Sword drop rate is too low.
I have reset Xur rank twice and have not received The Other Half Sword. Zero. None.
Over 200 runs of DoE.
All weekly bounties done weekly.
All daily bounties done on at least 1 character daily.
1KV, Anarchy and Mythoblast had a higher drop rate than this sword.
I am officially burnt out, no more DoE for me.
EDIT: I finally got the sword to drop. Only took 239 chests opens. Jagged/Swordmaster/Relentless/Whirlwind. 5/5 for me :) :) :)

I’ve been trying to get this sword for almost a year now. I been trying sense last guardian games. I keep doing dares over and over and over again with nothing. I spend every key on the chest when I have a bunch of them nothing. I been trying sense they used strange coins. Now it’s just keys no more coins and I keep trying and trying and trying and nothing I can’t get it to drop. It’s so frustrating. I wish the tome of want or a tonic would increase the drop rate even if it was by a little bit.

Hahaha.. my husband just started destiny 3 weeks ago and did his first DoE last night, he got the RED BOARDER other half on his first run... me? I been a D1 vet since Beta and have run it too many times to count and haven't gotten even a normal one... definitely RNG..

Lucky you. I am still to get mine with over 340 chests opened and Xur reset Twice. The Odds are rigged. I know a few that haven't even done 20 DoE and have a few. I wish the Dev that came up with its drop rate to have Nightmares for the rest of His/Her life Lol

You have bad RNG. I only reset once, I have over a dozen just collecting dust in my vault, the since Christmas, I've been getting one every two or 3 tokens

2 AntwortenYou're gonna hate me then....I got it in under 10 attempts with my clanmate who has run it about 100 times. But then again, I still haven't got the Mida Catalyst, and Sleeper only just dropped for me after YEARS. And I still haven't got the Shadow Price. RNG at it's best. Hang in there Guardian!

It really seems to be a case of some people getting no drops at all vs getting very few drops here and there. If only it was consistently the latter.

I've gotten all the weapons to drop, but that's the one I've had turn up the least, by a significant amount.

I've gotten at least 4 but that sucks. Do you mean both "half" swords? Because IIRC they both drop with eager edge.

I got mine just opening the weapon chest, near Xûr. I reached level 16, then opened the chest, and got one!

I like the Forbes article comparing it to Shiny Pokémon and do think there should be more weapons like it. Nothing wrong with having super rare drops.

1 AntwortenI got lucky and managed to get on with sword masters guard, duelists trance, whirlwind stokes. I masterworked it and hope that there will eventually be a way to combine it with the other sword.
