Maybe the bungie devs can give us some padded walls so the next time we go flying into one we won’t die from a misadventure while trying to pick up an artifact that’s 50 feet away from the boss and don’t even get me started on the Locus of communion, it’s been a year now and you guys still haven’t fixed it. You guys are either lazy or incompetent so which one is it

3 AntwortenStomp mechanis is sooo annoying but you know what is even more annoying, GETTING F** STUCK ON TEXTURES!!!

1 AntwortenTeleporting enemies are a problem. Im not even talking about the ones that are supposed to teleport.

I would be o.k. with a stomp mechanic if the knock back was equivalent to a well of radiance AOE. The thing most people point out is the lack of imagination for typical boss fights. Bullet sponge, bullet sponge, and oh look another bullet sponge. The boss shouldn't allow players to basically sit at his knees and blatantly fire away. A boss should have a defense for it. But the godly cross map smacks are really unrealistic, not to mention the damage from impact resulting in death. One of the most imaginative boss fights in my opinion was the shield brothers in D1. You just don't see anything like that anymore. Pick this up, put this in here, do damage. Sure there has been some small things added here and there that are recycled, but nothing new to make a boss feel like a boss. Drop bubble, drop well, damage. Kind of boring. But they desperately need to fix the stomp to a realistic push back. As far as teleporting champions, I feel they need a cool down in between teleports and I would be o.k. with it.

Was thinking this the other day while getting launched to a different nightfall.

They are starting to add fire to the stomps so you can't sword cancel

4 AntwortenSo people are upset they cant sword or shotgun everything to death.
interesting

I’d be fine with a stun/slow + damage on stomp, but that would make way too much sense. Why bother when you can get sent flying off the map like you literally weigh nothing.

Bearbeitet von damnter: 12/30/2021 7:43:43 AMI especialy hate the teleporting overloads. In master GoA you hit them twice with an overload sword. They still teleport right through you and one shot you in the back. It's completly redicoulus.

10 AntwortenPve balance in general is rubbish i like how the end game content basically shows just how cheap the enemy ai is in this game spaming auto tracking bullets using abilities every second know ur position without seeing u so they can spam grenades then there is the splash damage most players basically use cheese spots to complete the gms instead of playing normally its a mess and the physics have been a joke for soo long and bungie refuses to sort it out its actually disappointing the game could be better then this

Stomp mechanic is the second dumbest boss fight mechanic in this game! The first is forced immunity, but I digress. I don't know who or why they thought this was fun for the player, but it's not. In the least! Many a flawless run have been ruined by this inconsistent and glitchy artificial difficulty mechanic.

1 AntwortenBoss stomp is just lazy and one of the things i hate the most in the game!

40 AntwortenBungie wants us to have a power fantasy but simultaneously are scared of their players achieving a power fantasy. Who cares if we melt a boss with a loadout the community took the time build and put together?

3 AntwortenIf you didn’t know, you can melee or swipe with a sword to lunge at the boss as they stomp so you can 100% guarantee survival.

3 AntwortenI hate it to. Some bosses shouldn’t even be able to stomp. But I can see the ogres having a stomp. Some bosses it makes sense and some don’t

9 AntwortenI prefer that small change Bungo made to the cabal final boss over cosmic horse, he won't stomp i believe but rather cast a pool of fire to encourage you to keep distance instead to encourage you to fly through the air 🤷♂️ Other bosses should loose that all mighty stomp and come with some other form of plz don't sword me mechanic, i mean looks that ain't much to ask since it took Bungo 2 years to change this onw cabal...

1 AntwortenThe stomp mechanic wouldn't be a problem if there were actual knockback resistance mods in the game; better yet, tie knockback force to be inversely proportional to Resilience so it's finally worth a damn in PvE. This season alone shows just how irritating knockback mechanics have been in general (just look at the -blam!- Techeuns' range) are if you aren't using a sword or melee lunging an enemy.
-
1 AntwortenThe first boss in proving grounds doesnt have a stomp. Its rather silly
-
5 AntwortenI understand why Bungie did it. People are wiping out bosses too quickly. Either stomp mechanics or gated health. Pick your poison. I honestly think bosses and some yellow bar enemies should able to grab you and slam or toss you if you get too close for too long.

4 AntwortenBungle has run out of creativity in general

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von an engram full of bees: 12/30/2021 10:15:59 PMThe problem with the stomp mechanics is the fact that it’s a 360 degree effect. If you look at games like Dark Souls, most of the boss attacks are in one direction, which forces you to dodge and react in different ways. It gives the developers more freedom to challenge the player and it gives the player more diversity in how they respond. Being knocked back every time you go within 5 feet of a boss just makes the game more shallow and makes the gameplay more repetitive.

3 AntwortenI'd love to see some bosses that crouch down and take a swing at us, chase us, hurl fire at us, roar, something. (Yeah, I pretty much described a dragon, I know. LOL) But ANYthing different at this point. Bungie has an incredible story and boss IDEAS but the execution of them is lacking. When I read the Grimoire and in game lore, these bosses and characters are larger than life. When I watch cutscene of fights, like that one on Europa with The Exo Stranger, Eris, and Drifter, THAT'S more of what the actual gameplay should be like. Hopefully it improves. Hopefully they make those changes down the line. I'm not sure why they can't (save laziness at this point) because other games have done it and done it well.
