I’m a sub par pvp player but for Gods sake why do they make it literally impossible to better yourself at all. Match after match after match after match I just get folded over and over again. Doesn’t matter what gun I use I can’t catch a break. It’s like I’m playing against John Wick regardless and they can’t miss a shot but when I manage to hit them it’s like I’m hitting them with a wet napkin. SBMM needs to be a thing in this God forsaken game and maybe some of us who don’t get to play crucible and trials religiously could have a chance at some sort of fun

Too bad trash Bungie won’t do anything about it unless it’s about eververse
-
I gave up when I got my mountain top and recluse. Then I get dry shafted and had it took away.
-
Dude I know the feeling. Crucible has become nothing but crutching hunters.
-
Yeah it is a mess right now. I have stopped for a bit myself and have been focusing on PvE.

11 AntwortenThe sandbox team ruined the game with the most recent ability and super nerfs. The game now caters to one sweaty playstyle - HCs, shottys, and snipers, because the PvP streamer community complains LOUDLY when anything else is competitive, including supers and abilities. Unfortunately, these PvP streamers are who the sandbox team listen to. The casuals and semi-casuals are leaving the game, leaving only the noobs and sweats behind. Crucible is no longer enjoyable. Do yourself a favor, stick to PvE in D2, and find another PvP game to play.

Here ya go, I'm very much bottom of the tree when it comes to PVP but I like the game mode. I don't necessarily play for rewards or k/d or flawless. I just play for a bit of fun so quality of match time is of more benefit to me rather than the "winning outcome". I'd prefer a good balanced match and lose rather than a steamroller stomp match and win, irrespective of the fact that it might be my random team mates doing the stomping. The image is the result of match I was in a little while ago and needless to say i was on the losing team. The opposing team were just running from spawn to spawn farming our randoms as the new "extended respawn time" allowed them plenty of time to get across the map to do so. Thankfully we were all randoms so it wasn't overly important that most of us lost heart once they got rolling.

Keep in mind that those people were at your skill level once. Thier not gods of the game and shouldn't be put on a pedestal some of the Destiny community makes them out to be. If you stick with it as much as PvE, you'll be dunking on people that are on your current 121level. Watch where they run to after killing you and and you might catch them off guard, cause most of them are running in a continuous pattern. It's not that their better than you, its them knowing the map very well and know where you'll spawn and from watching other numerous peoples pick up on their movement patterns. If more "I only play PvE" people sto

pped playing the same has strike over and over and three and played PvP they're start having fun.

5 AntwortenI went from a .57 player to being able to go flawless a few times. I am still far from great, but I got better by recording my games and analyzing my deaths. As an older gamer I had to work on slowly increasing my sensitivity in PvE and PvP. Then I started paying attention to positioning, radar, and etc. Lastly I got the app little light to evaluate rolls on guns until I understood the meta well enough to evaluate them myself. I don’t PvP as much recently because it has become a bit boring due to a lack of new modes and maps, but you can get better if you want. Maybe you don’t want to? That is okay too.

I’m sorry you feel this way, but SBMM on peer to peer networks doesn’t work. Even now with CBMM, connections are horrible. You make connections even less of an priority, and you create matches that are won by whenever is lagging the least. Takes games from being fair, which they are, to being decided by a coin toss.

3 AntwortenI was an average player before cross play, fortunate enough to have some good friends to help me in trials. Now that cross play is the default and im playing against people with far better machines than my ps5 in getting destroyed. Not even average. So much of this game is tired. This game is no longer enjoyable. Play out your DLC and stop giving bungie your money. Thats what im doing

You dont play much pvp but dive into the most "competitive" form of pvp destiny has to offer. Start practicing in elim which has a heavier sbmm weight and is the same as trials minus the rewards.
-
Play competitive freelance. It's sbmm.
-
Something tells me you are just mindlessly running around the map, don't pay attention to the radar and your team mates' position, challenge when you shouldn't, don't disengage and simply use the wrong weapons. If you want to improve in PvP the first step would be to analyse your deaths.
-
Play rumble to learn PvP. You get way more 1v1 duels and it teaches you situational awareness or "game sense." Everyone thinks it's scary because you don't have teammates to crutch on but that's what makes you a better player. Also it lets you learn the maps in a less chaotic setting. Play slow, take duels when you're ready and try to keep all radar pings ahead of you. If one starts to rotate, engage that one.

Time to hang up the game

I feel like this game simply doesn't work too well with PvP. With how guns in Destiny work, it almost feels as if a perfectly balanced PvP mode is nigh impossible unless you outright ban specific guns/abilities or force players to use specific ones. My advice for dealing with PvP in quests and such is just to powerhouse through it. If you play enough of it, you will get those kills or match wins no matter what.

Bearbeitet von Goodisevil: 12/29/2021 12:50:31 AMI was beginning to think it was only me that couldn't compete in PVP with some of the extreme athletes I have been going up against lately. Some of these people are just too good to compete against. I have been trying to get exotic perks for crysolith sidearm, Ticcinu's bow and several others that require guardian kills in crucible or gambit and I am way under classed with those weapons. I am lucky to get off one or two shots before they take me out. Sometimes my hits don't have any effect at all on their armor or shields. When I go full auto with an auto rifle it stops after three rounds and I have to pull the trigger again just as they take me down and I have to respawn. Right before I die I try and throw a sticky grenade on them for payback and that is not working anymore.

4 AntwortenA big part of it is Stompes hunters making up 75% of every match. Stomps are way overpowered in the current sandbox and thy need to addressed asap.

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Dredgen Araphel: 12/28/2021 8:54:51 PMYou can't acknowledge you're sub par and then find fault with the game thats a lack of self accountability. I looked over your build and its all over the place and pve centric. Pve perks aside you're running alot of short range stuff. Don't get me wrong shotty/HC is meta but you gotta hit your HC shots and with shotguns you have to understand that if you're in range to shotgun then so are you its a double edge sword with high risk but high reward. You're not sub par you're ignorant to pvp and builds which can be fixed. Masterwork your armor and take the time to practice your shots. Your build tells me your either being countered by another shotgun, zoned, or you're missing.

It doesn't matter if there was SBMM. They can't balance a lobby to save their lives and here we are going into year five. They'd still stick most of the good players on 1 team and like 2 on the other.
-
1 AntwortenYea I gave up on PvP and its community a long time ago Now I just play it for weekly dust, triumph or quest PvP it as its worst state because they listen to the bad side of the PvP community that cries about games being too hard..now they make ita mess for 80% of the rest of the player...and oh they will try to say it's fine like this and it was worst before and others lies just to keep their easy win and inflated KD for their ego

4 AntwortenPvP caters only to Ease of Use, meta weapons and subclasses and how much you’re willing to shell out for internet. You can do well with Off Meta stuff but you’ll have to sweat your -blam!- off to do so. But the rest? Yeah that’s established. I don’t do well in PvP anymore and I couldn’t tell you why. Suddenly all the stuff I use just doesn’t work against handcannons and shotguns.

1 AntwortenSometimes I feel like Bungie is doing these things on purpose or they have no clear vision for pvp.
