Things like trials freelance / PVP in general can be so painful when you have a really mismatched game / AFK players etc
Surely having a surrender option (majority vote gets it) would reduce the number of people who quit mid game and make things more enjoyable all round. In my eyes, the only people who would complain are those who love stomping / racking up their KD because they’re so much more cracked than the opposing team.
P.S. don’t hit me with all the ‘get gud’ / toxic nonsense which absolutely floods this forum and makes the community unpleasant at best when people are simply trying to provide feedback.

3 AntwortenIf you can't handle losing, probably best not to play.
-
I'll take my lumps. I will not surrender. Matchmaking does upset me when it adds me to a match that comes to an end but does not add people mid match to replace the losers that quit on our team.
-
It'll be abused. Hakke Casino all over again.

5 AntwortenI report those who are on my team that are afk-ers and those who jump off maps for giving up instead of trying in Freelance Trials. It's considered Sabotage.

Agree with this but only if your team is reduced to a number below 3. The amount of times I've had to endure 5 rounds just to avoid a timeout (players leaving after 1 round) because....... Most of the time in trials you can tell when your up against a superior team within the first 2 rounds which causes the quitters and AFK players. If your 4 nil down with a full team then take your 5 nil stomping and move on, after all its the oppositions right, you entered the match, you take the beating, or quit and take the penalty. If your team is reduced below 3 then you have a mercy vote, after all you've just lost 4 in a row with a full team, so the chances of you winning the next 5 with a team of 2 ( or 1) are pretty slim at best. Either way you get a loss on the card.

You gotta love how the game continues despite being 6v3 and an 80 point score difference. Shax must be on tik tok and not paying attention.

Works in valorant and csgo…. Should definitely be in solo trials

1 AntwortenIf Siege has it for ranked play, Destiny should have it. Enough said.

Pathetic
-
You don't need a surrender in pvp they have the mercy rule.

2 AntwortenAgree, but the trade off for surrendering id say is that you get no loot, no xp and xp gains for playlists. Otherwise this will absolutely get abused by players who just go into a bunch of matches and purposely throw for a quick rank up. If your going to surrender, you better make sure its the right call to do so and your ok with missing out on rewards than to torture yourself into finishing the match

Does control and quick play in general punish players for leaving early? I know Survival does. I've had a big enough sample size to go off of that the 4 to 5 plus KD Hunter players will usually quit a match if there is a hint of the other team being good. I so happened to be matched with a 6 plus seasonal KD Hunter on my team on Control and we got down big early. When it was almost over he had already rage quit. Looked the player up in crucible report and the player had several DNF matches in a row and only completed matches where his team was stomping. If there is no penalty for leaving early in Control I guess there would be no need for a surrender there.

Wouldn’t work. Leaving is far easier and better. 🤷🏻♂️

9 AntwortenAsking for a surrender option? Says a lot about people’s characters. French by any chance? (A joke incase any one’s feelings get too hurt)

1 AntwortenUnfortunately, this wouldn't work. People leave PvP games before it can matchmaker just because it's faster. With that in mind, people who doesn't think they can beat the opposition team will spam the feature. And if you end up in a team with 4 in a team, then they decide which opponents they wanna play against all the time. You nailed the problem but the solution would be require design changes in the large scale for the game which is outside of the capability and resources of Bungie at this stage.

Bearbeitet von Demon_XXVII: 12/6/2021 5:50:19 AMTerrible idea If you look to vote ‘surrender’ Just quit the match & take the penalty for doing so

21 AntwortenI don’t care if my team is 0-4, I still want them to keep trying to make a comeback. The fact that you want a surrender option, shows what type of mentality you have.

1 AntwortenNever give up, never surrender.
-
1 AntwortenAs much as I want to see something similair, it would probably get abused for a laugh

4 AntwortenIf your team votes to “surrender”, the game should count as a loss on your card.

No. Surrendering is for losers

It is a problem to see players leave mid-match woth nobody to help them. They get screwed and the other team basically gets free kills. I think adding at least a bot player would be nice. This would range from below average to above average skill depending on the skills of the opposing team. On that note, if a team has the majority of their members quit, they get mercy rule, which means noboty wins because of interference. The banhammer for quitting would also be A LOT more punishing. If a player quits one activity, they're locked out of matchmaking any activity for 15 minutes. If a player quits again before the daily reset, they'll be locked out of matchmaking any activity for the entire rest of the day, as well as the entirety of the next day. If a player leaves after the ban is lifted before the weekly reset they'll be locked out of Destiny 2, period, for an entire week. This ensures that less people are inclined to rage-quit. So many people would rather leave games and save their KD and WL ratio than get stuck in a game where they're utterly screwed. Instead, they can vote to surrender via their ghost. This would impact their skill rank twice as much as losing a match would, but would rather save the embarrassment of getting your -blam!- kicked.

8 AntwortenAs a noobie of just a few weeks I was put up against years-long experienced players in PvP Crucible. I got killed nonstop, there was nothing I could do. Offense, defense, evading, nothing, nothing, nothing. I could hardy leave the spawn area. No chance to learn the map, or seek cover. It was extremely bad, and a very unfair experience. One of the worst aspects of D2. A complete downer, extremely demotivating, dysfunctional and annoying.

I like this idea. My least favorite thing about these matches is the time it wastes. Plus, the way Survival and Trials are designed, players can spend half of each match sitting around because we aren't/can't be revived. I'd rather just surrender when teams are that unbalanced. On the flip side, if the teams are balanced, I have fun even if my team loses.

I think it might work if it followed the Valorant system and if everyone on the team voted to concede if your team is short-manned. The forfeit should result in a loss on your card. Of course, your team can't unanimously vote to forfeit if you are stuck with some AFK goober. In that event, you should be able to concede after a certain period of time just to make sure the AFK guy is really AFK or (worse) is botting. Leaving the match should also result in a loss on your card. If you are up against a team that is simply better than you are, you should just take your whoopin' like a warrior. You don't get better at PvP by always facing people you can crush. As with anything, players will find ways to exploit a surrender system, but I think it might be better in the long run to allow forfeits as opposed to allowing things to progressively become more toxic. It would also help if Bungo was a little more proactive in dealing with reported AFKs and bots.
