I'm on PlayStation, always been, before crossplay I had NO PROBLEM finding a survival game, it literally took seconds.
Now, if I turn crossplay off, so I can play just PlayStation players it takes FOREVER to find a game, and sometimes it doesn't even find one!!
I don't want to play Xbox players, the lag if very very noticeable. And yes, there is lag, play on 120hz mode and you notice it immediately, I can call when a player is on Xbox without looking at the roster, I hardly ever miss.
I hope there is a solution.

4 Antworten
I hope there is a solution.
Crossplay is their solution. It's a solution to a broken matchmaking, antiquated p2p system, and dwindling PvP playerbase. That's one of the reasons why crossplay is here, less players were playing PvP. Turning off crossplay is the wrong solution because it was the solution to a broken PvP. And they won't probably take this out anytime soon. If you are looking for a solution right now, the solution is not to turn off crossplay. You turn off the game. Then go play other games. Then maybe you'll see some changes around here. Give it a shot, you'll see.

1 AntwortenTheres lag because of bungies poor coding and lack of dedicated servers. Gotta remember everyone who works at Bungie have only ever worked on Destiny/Destiny 2 no other games. Its essentially Bungies first game (Everyone who worked on any Halo is gone and left years ago)

wait... you can turn off cross play? How? My issue is that I only want to be in games where I can message people but I can't mesage PC or Playstation players

3 AntwortenProblem is Playstation consoles can't keep up with xbox. Not dissing the system as I own both but you can obviously see their's a latency issue. So many time I punch a PS player only for them to receive 0 damage from it. Me and a fellow clan mate punched a PS titan player 4 times back to back and he took 0 damage in a comp game a few days ago. We was like wtf ? 😂🤣 Till the latency issue is fixed Bungie should remove crossplay from Pvp as for PVE I see 0 problems in that front because it's player vs environment

1 AntwortenUnfortunately it’s because you are trying to match up with other ps players that have also turned off crossplay. Honestly speaking, they half-a**ed this Ike they do on so many other features.

1 AntwortenThe Idea is great but the latency issues are to great! I have 1Gbit connection my friend 500 and another 100mbit all unplayable!
-
2 AntwortenIt’s true, when I notice something bookie I suspect they’re on Xbox, so I check, 99% of the time I know without looking myself too. This needs a fix
-
1 AntwortenHate it when we see playstation on the other team as issues in crossplay occurs with playstation not taking damage; lagging; teleporting; it’s a joke in pvp. I wish either Bungie fix this broken state in pvp crossplay or please just match us all up with the same family consoles. Everyone’s feeling it( and everyone’s talking about it. So please Bungie please post an update on this crossplay issue in pvp between different consoles. It’s not working!!

1 AntwortenIts the same on our end over here on xbox, its noticeable when you play PS players. Sometimes its not "lag" its like a strange jitter but I know what you mean. Hopefully they get it worked out soon as I think they are

100%. i let it run for 10 minutes and not one single player on earth joined..

1 AntwortenPeer to peer is the elephant in the room with many problems of this game. Crossplay just made this more evident
-
Same for us, with psn players, only worse because 90% of players I match are on PSN, I'm often the only Xbox player in gambit or anything non core like mayhem, scorched, showdown, and early morning gambit + strikes. Something else bungie did badly.
-
Same thing is happening to Xbox players too my friend; both consoles are experiencing issues when it comes to cross play in PvP game modes. Bungie really need to address these issues of lag etc etc in these crossplay lobbies; everyone is feeling it.
-
It works the other way around too I'm on xbox and I can tell a playstation player from an xbox player. Its typical though because of the peer to peer connection if only bungie would actually fork over some money to true servers that can stabilize the cross connection
-
1 AntwortenBungie doesn’t care enough to bother with trying to fix it.
-
I noticed the same thing. It feels like Bungie is extending matchmaking time for people with cross play turned off. I actually got timed out multiple times searching for games.

1 AntwortenIt's cause of sbmm not crossplay forehead lol
