I’d love to know if anyone likes to play MTG, but this post will probably just collect dust lol

Man I haven’t played in year’s. The last time I got into it, I really like my elf horde deck.

5 AntwortenNot so much anymore but I worked in a nerd shop for awhile and used to play every Draft night, Pre Release and Release, dabbled in Modern, and Commander/EDH was my favorite mode. I used to have an Infect deck for Modern all about pumping small unblockable creatures with Infect, which deal poison damage to players and kills faster than standard damage but I couldn't be bothered to buy the full thing. I've had a lot of EDH decks over the years, Kalia of the Vast was my first, Followed by Scion of the Ur Dragon back before I knew how to do more than play big creatures and turn them sideways. Then I got better at the game and learned I love Blue and Black. Nekusar the Mindrazer has been my darling ever since, it's all about helping people because everyone loves drawing cards! The price is very reasonable, just your life points, what's a little blood between friends? I also have an Edgar Markov vampire deck for those days I wanna just ruthlessly crush my opponents beneath my steel toed boot.

1 AntwortenI used to play a fair bit. The wife and I got back into it briefly around ZKR. Built myself a blue/black rogue deck centered around mill/flash/hexproof. Probably my proudest creation. My brother and his boys have been trying to get me into Commander, but I just don’t feel like I have the time to devote to another hobby right now.

I have a pretty good collection of cards but I have never fully gotten into it, even though I really want to

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Pie: 11/23/2021 5:22:17 PM🤔🤔 Haven't played since the beforetimes. Non-rotating/eternal too. Super out of touch with standard rotation and WotC practices. Favorite creature type... I don't usually run "creature decks" so that's a weird one. If I HAD to pick.... Fairy. Spellstutter Sprite, Mistbind Clique, Vendillion Clique. Bitterblossom is still totally a card. I tried tribal Elf back in the day, but if the end result is more or less a combo deck anyway, I'd rather play something different. Usually I'm on combo or control. Favorite decks... U/b Fae. Not real competitive in Modern but it'll steal games here and there. Sort of a reactionary midrange deck. Thoughtseize into Bitterblossom early feels good; gas for Spellstutters. Jace the Mind Sculptor bouncing Mistbind Clique can get pretty one sided. Then add in like... counterspell, cryptic command and some cheap removal. Mutavault. Wins by Jace or through attacking, whichever line is more available. Martyr of Sands/Proclamation of Rebirth. Like a white life gain deck with some board control. So... midrange control again. Basically build a life cushion and win with Serra Ascendant. Felidar Sovreign once won a game. Not consistent at all though, so that slot went toward more removal. I played 4 color Gifts Ungiven for a while. Combo/control. Explaining all the interactions here would be pretty long. Basically it wins either off of a planeswalker, Mindslaver combo, or using Gifts to find Unburial Rites and some crazy fatty, then reanimating the fatty with Unburial Rites from the graveyard. Some rule sharking required. See: fail to find related to how Gifts is worded. Can also do stuff like Damnation, Wrath of God, Day of Judgment, and Supreme Verdict. So the opponent must give you 2 board wipes. For example. Coming up with different Gifts piles was part of the fun of building this one for sure. And then.... Stoneblade. U/w or U/w/b. Another midrange deck. Recently legal in modern I guess but this was the go to legacy deck. Batterskull, Umezawa's Jitte, Stoneforge. Brainstorm, Force of Will. Humility and/or Back to Basics depending on the rest of the build. If I get back to it, I'm 100% porting this to Modern but I'd need a replacement for Jitte that isn't Sword of X and Y or +1 Batterskull. I feel like that's kind of a lot. Too much? Wordvomit? Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: Shoutout to Urza lands.

1 AntwortenDon’t play it much anymore, but I used to. Got two main decks; one is an Eldrazi deck, and one is based on those freaky fusion cards from the Innistrad thing. My fusion deck isn’t very good, but my Eldrazi deck can beat everyone I kiw pretty easily. My friends stopped playing with me after a 1v1v1 where I double killed both of them on the same turn. :)
