And should it be a permanent thing

81 AntwortenFreelance will return in a future Trials Lab. Don't have a specific date, but it will indeed come back. Can't say whether or not it will ever become permanent, but we'll see what the future holds as we get closer to it.
-
It’ll only do so much to bring the population up. Most low-mid skill players, solos, and casuals won’t come back until next season, since they have the trials gear they wanted and hate being slaughtered in solo que or not. It won’t take them long to get the new trials gear though, so they’ll be gone again in I estimate… 4 weeks. Bungie simply can’t keep the trials population healthy long term, so skill creep will, once again, tarnish the playlist, and it will happen EVEN EARLIER next season. I’ve accepted that I’m not meant for that playlist. Nothing currently in trials is worth a death sentence.

10 AntwortenJust keep getting -blam!- on by gilded flawless 3 stacks on a late Monday night. So good!!! YES!!!

Bearbeitet von Sarcastreaux: 11/23/2021 7:40:19 PMI went in solo into trials last night, wishing freelance Trials was a thing. I played my first game and we got completely smashed. I bit the bullet and tried again. This time I found two guys who are pretty beastly and we won the match. I invited them after the game and they joined. We ended up going flawless. My point is not to brag, but to be supportive of both, a solo que and being willing to find a team that you work well with. I would like a permanent freelance Trialsfor a few reasons. 1. People like me who have a hard time finding competent teams. Of course this may not give anyone a better chance, but at least it won't be a 3-stack on the other side. 2. If you're allowed to que up solo, there should be a freelance permanently, just as there is one for Survival. 3. Some people just like to play the game as a lone wolf. I feel as though everyone should have the option to play Trials the way the feel gives them the best chance to go flawless. 3-stack or not shouldn't matter. The Trials system is better, but still a good bit flawed. Regardless of state of Trials, if you're going to play it, it is also going to take skill to be able to have a chance at success. The Trials system is still broken with some of the same problems, but one should also not expect handouts.

While I'm not opposed to having a Freelance option I don't think it really solves much. Unless you are a top tier player your chances of going flawless is a crap shoot due to the real possibility of getting paired up with potatoes. Some will get lucky, most will not, but that's ok. People just have to properly set their expectations and have the mindset that they are just trying to have fun and get some loot. I would like to see matchmaking prefer similar team compositions. ie. 3-stack vs 3-stack, duo+solo vs duo+solo and solos vs solos. I also think they need to take some consideration into the fireteam performance (regardless of its size) to prevent severe mismatches in an effort to minimize 0-5/1-5 matches. If you are regularly steam rolling people then you need better competition... Trials isn't supposed to be easy, right?

3 AntwortenI think the flawless pool should include everyone who has a flawless seal.

The loot was enough to bring back everyone. Labs are dumb. With the exception of freelance they kill the mode. Leave the flawless pool as is. Add freelance. The end.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von DredLaP: 11/23/2021 5:27:18 PMIf you want it back, Stop playing trials until its back. Speak with ur time. If you are playing during other weeks, you cant really complain. Feeding the pop and the top 3% is on you. Let it fall back to 100k. Let it die if needed. Force bungie to fix it.
-
4 AntwortenUm, actually most streamer/content creator tier Destiny players literally disagree.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sohsuh: 11/23/2021 12:34:19 AMYes it should be permanent. It’s stupid that it isn’t. One of the many awful decisions Bungie made for trials. They completely ruined it for no reason. Such an insane level of incompetence.

Bearbeitet von Loki: 11/23/2021 10:52:06 AMThis should not be a question. it is painfully obvious to anyone, Even on a Tuesday morning, flawless capable teams are curb stomping anyone who plays against them, purposely resetting their trials passage to keep their matched opponents so easy for them they go 5-0 within a few minutes. freelance would nullify this whole issue.
-
I would rather them get rid of cross play
-
5 Antwortenand give us the option to turn off crossplay for trials, that sh t is beyond infuriating
-
1 AntwortenAm not even kidding.. i played over 20 games this week and 1 or 2 were against other solo players and i got enough tbags to last me a life time.. not sure what it is but some ppl get high on tbagging solos i guess specially those who use shatterdive or dunes for some reason bring back the freelance
-
1 AntwortenGiven how bad dead cliffs numbers dropped from the last freelance, they need freelance back soon, orherwise ToO is only heading one way
-
At least rotate it in once a month. Hell ditch Iron Banner for it.
-
Absolutely agree with you and would love to see this a permanent feature. Do bare in mind thought the point of trials labs is to through testing figure out what works and doesn't. In order to do that things need to be dropped in and out as fast as then went in. There are reasons behind this type of feature drop. Mostly test play.

Trials sucks in any shape or form, that's the truth. I stopped playing it long time ago. I came back briefly for Labs to see if it got better. I'll admit that it introduced some improvements, but not enough to keep me invested. I left again, with no intention to come back, EVER. Let the sweaties wreak each other in Trials. They deserve to be the only ones left there. Besides, every single one of them playing Trials over the weekend is one less I have to be matched against in regular Crucible. So, yes... Thanks God for Trials, Lol! Happy stomping, everyone. Have fun!
-
Bungie enables solo queuing so teams have more players to match up against, and solo players are like: “thanks Bungie for letting us play Trials, now make it so we don’t play against teams ever.”
-
No. They need to fix the match making problem and also adjust card based MM. A game 1 mercy shouldn't be matching game 7. That's the big issue. Anything else causes problems we don't need. Look I'm not saying stomps should be rampant. But what most people don't get is no matter what you try and do to imprison the best players there will ALWAYS be a work around that can't be fixed. In this case it's resetting at 6 wins. You can't fix that without screwing everybody.
-
It should be an event type thing. Every 6 weeks or so. Keeps it fresh without permanently messing up the general population.
-
I'll be honest with you the damage appears to have been done. Most players seem to have bailed on the playlist and I'm not sure even freelance will bring them back.
-
37 AntwortenMaybe not permanent, but every other week or so? At some point, if you want to have better chances at flawless, you have to get a team together.
-
6 AntwortenThe problem with Freelance is that it is a gamble to get good teams. The first week of Freelance was hell for me. Most of the people I matched with acted like they were going to get carried to flawless. People become headless chickens when someone dies too. This issue might have not been for some, but it was for a lot of people. Im am cool with it being a thing every month if they (Cbmm players might come at me with torches and pitchforks.) add sbmm into only freelance to make it feel a little more balanced. It should be fine because of the population and solos looking toward their flawless passages.
