58 AntwortenExperimenting is how progress is made. Want a example, remember the large hadron collider? They wanted to experiment with how particles smashed against each other and formed miniature black holes so they could learn about them? Remember how everyone was like, NO NO DON'T DO IT. it'll kill us all blah blah. We like earth as it is, intact ect ect. Its all that's happening now. People don't get bungie is taking in all the data and making a system for trials that everyone can enjoy and is good. Well nor everyone because it's destiny PvP.

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von GMDeece7: 11/1/2021 12:19:21 AMWeek 1 rulesets won’t be enough to save trials. People need to understand something VERY important … Week 1 was an OUTLIER for a variety of reasons. One of which, was loot availability. Ask yourself the following questions. How many have ALREADY got their trials god rolls they want? Most people don’t give a crap about flawless, so you can’t say that most people are farming adepts. Why would these players come back to trials after getting CONTINUALLY slaughtered by higher tier players? Upgrade materials aren’t NEARLY attractive enough to keep a steady playerbase. What is the REAL percentage of players currently have the rolls they want, with how ridiculously easy (yet VERY frustrating) it is to farm trials engrams during the PAST weeks. When you ask the right question about situations like this, you realize that the things that made week 1 great won’t necessarily apply again in the current conditions. Week 1 won’t bring flocks of people back to trials. ALL of you have 1 thing to expect, EVERY WEEK as this season goes on. Every week, population will CONTINUE to drop despite ANY changes made to the mode, as players can’t be convinced to play trials long term without massive incentive. Being slaughtered turns off most from trials. Player population will only go up again after the NEXT SEASON starts, when maybe… one or two weapons are added to the loot pool. At this point, that week will be filled with players, but will DRASTICALLY lower after each weapon is given at least… twice probably, since engrams are easy to farm for the most part. Again. Most returning players will ALREADY have the trials rolls they want from this season. It’ll take them just a trials week or two to get the new weapon rolls they want and dip out of trials until next season. You can’t convince them to continue playing. Forcing them in some way will make them leave the game. Outliers everyone. ALWAYS ask the right questions when trying to discuss why one statistic might have been dramatically higher. Week 1 rulesets are not going to bring that many players back…

Yeah it’s supposed to be and should have been all along…

2 AntwortenI'm just going to say something unpopular, but none the less true. You won't want to hear it but people need to accept it. Week one was a fluke created by many, many, many people who have never touched trials giving it a shot. Most of them did not like the toxicity they found, and discovered the rewards were not that impressive. And have not come back since. That is to say, week one didn't happen because of anything Bungle did with it's MM rules, week one happened because the people that the try hards call "plebs" gave it a try and found it largely an unpleasant unrewarding experience. You will never have another week like week one. Ever. Even if they restored those exact rules. That was a one time thing and it's not coming back. So whatever you want them to do with the matchmaking rules, just understand you'll never see another week one because they didn't bring that to you. Other players did. Players who got told to gitgud and teabagged and bullied and now they're gone and this is what you're left with *shrug*. It is what it is.

9 AntwortenThese experiments allow them to combat how people try to game the matchmaking and destroy the experience of the wider community.

1 AntwortenStreamers be mad they can’t charge for carries

3 AntwortenWeek one would have died off in a few weeks Wasnt sustainable.

3 Antworten
No one asked for anything to be changed and nobody wants anything to be changed so STOP.
I think all the casuals asked it to be changed - you know - those players that are keeping the mode alive? The players that now make up the majority of the mode? We got tired of being farmed so that you would have an easier time to the lighthouse…so changes were made…trials is fixed now… If you’re having a hard time with it now you probably weren’t that good at it to begin with…and and just padding your stats against players you shouldn’t have been playing with in the first place… The days of farming blueberries are over… Get gud!!!

1 AntwortenI disagree. Experiment. Let’s see what’s works and what doesn’t. No need to hate for a single weekend change.
-
2 AntwortenWhat people fail to understand is most players liked week 1 because of the influx of players, in particular lower skilled players and because of this those who got to the lighthouse got there easier by stomping on the lower skilled players. But those lower skilled players won’t stick around being sand bags for long without a bit of protection like the flawless pool or what ever and Trials would inevitably regress to only sweats playing and need saving again.
-
You can't revert back to week 1 and have freelance... The reason week one felt so much better for the majority of people was the mass influx of 'weaker' and solo players making the mode less sweaty. If you separate the player base into two matchmaking systems all that will happen is the base version of trials will be as bad as it was before and nobody will enjoy playing it. There needs to be more protection and or incentive for people to play the main mode and to form teams to keep the player pool and, consequently, the mode healthy. Freelance is absolutely not the solution to fix trials.
-
And once more Trials is pure garbage. One more week with A LOT of bad matchmaking (most of the time against the same pre made team, which is clearly much more skilled than my team). The "matchmaking is really happening? Another week without pinnacle gear from Trials. In freelancer I was able to play. P.s. Your Battle Eye doesn't work. There's a lot of aimbots.

2 AntwortenThe pvp was my endgame content in D2 but now I'm out, I'm not even going to wait for them to fix and just go play something else, and you should too. I'm glad BF and Halo is coming out soon so I can dump this game like -blam!- in a toilet. Why should I waste my weekends, week after week trying to go flawless? Why should I build in frustration on to something I have no influence with? How can I enjoy being trampled with people 2k elo and 2kd above me? Why is bungie not listening?
Bungie take your game and shove it up yours.
This is your matchmaking for at least the next month. Enjoy.

Bearbeitet von Black Ops: 10/31/2021 2:15:44 PMTrials of the crybaby streamers. Luckyy just wants to stomp noobs and have easy cards as that most benefits him and his stream. Not that I think win based mm makes sense, just I wish people who claim to know what I want stop erroneously trying to speak for me or anyone who likes and benefits from the flawless pool. Stay in your lane

If I could upvote twice, I would

Yeah week 1 with freelance playlist is the way to go.

2 AntwortenGotta say week 1 made everyone happy. I thought that was Bungie’s goal?!
-
Been posting this everywhere on Twitter. Week 1 was perfect.

1 AntwortenAll of this just shows to me how the entire concept of "flawless" just does not work, and folks like you are only fanning the flames to help drive this playlist back into the ground. Outside of any substantial changes to the rewards system from the mode, there is nothing that Bungie will be able to do to fix the problem. Having matches that are closer in skill rating is good for PvP in general, the notion of having an "easy time" due to the lower skilled cannon fodder (Week 1) means that on your way to flawless, you are knocking down seven teams to get there, each of which you may have inadvertently booted from the playlist pool in the future because they saw a "stomp" and decided that it isn't worth it. The fact that higher skilled players are now having difficulty reaching seven wins is only helping to prove this point further. The big issue is that adept weapons are still what everyone wants from the playlist, it's why people are playing the mode, so when people see that getting them is impossible due to lopsided matches or that they just cannot compete, they abandon the playlist and the total numbers of players next weekend decreases. Bungie has been experimenting with ways to try to fix this problem and I applaud them for at least trying, but you are honestly just preaching to the choir here. The only way to "truly" fix the problem is to drop this whole notion of flawless and move to a score based system where point thresholds give the rewards. Does it remove the current "flavor" of the mode? Absolutely. But trust me, this will just loop over and over again until such a change is made. If you want a healthy playlist size, the rewards need to be attainable for all skill levels, end of story.

Exactly, this!

1 AntwortenNo freelance, no nubs in endgame stuff

Week one was only only so populous because they introduced the new loot system; I.e more players going after loot than before. But the solo list needs to be permanent.

Week 1 was best
