I cant stand this community
Ok before you start harassing or bullying me get this through your heads...I dont care.
Now lets get to the point...I am sick of people treating me like crap, kicking me from fireteams, calling me useless and being toxic to me. Im just trying to enjoy the game. But it seems no one really cares.
Im someone who suffers from autism and thats what is my greatest downfall because even in a fight im a pathetic excuse of a Destiny player. I cant stand people doing this to me.
Also for almost the past week I have been put in a depressive state to where I feel worthless to this community and the toxicity Ive recieved does not help my condition. This community needs to care for one another...especially with those suffering with depression. Now if you all are going to laugh at me you are so heartless and cruel to not care about others.
Please dont hurt me more than I already have been

2 AntwortenThe superiority complex of the players of this game is strong! The elitism is astounding. Primadonna attitudes are everywhere in LFG. There are all kinds of players and levels in this game. People just need to show patience, but the Destiny community as a whole have no patience. Destiny when playing in a group is TEAMWORK! There's no I in team people. If your teammate is struggling then you help them. But NO it's all about my stats and how fast I did this run or my KD. (Which means absolutely nothing). For me it's about COMPLETION. Life is not a time trial and neither is Destiny. The size of your PP doesn't matter in life either! I would happily play along side you my fellow guardian. Flaws and all. I will turn those flaws around and turn them into strengths. That's TEAMWORK! That's Destiny!

My suggestion is that you look for players you can actually communicate with. No one is randomly going to know/understand your struggle. But there are a lot of groups out there who play just for fun and would certainly be open to helping a player with challenges. Find your people. The community is vast. Instead of a post like this, reach out to the community and explain your situation, look for people who will be understanding. Ignore the negative comments. But understand that people aren't mind readers. They can't know who you are. Anymore than you know who they are. And people with limited time trying to finish content may not be kind or have patience, and sure that can suck, but that is just part of life. Seek out the wheat, ignore the chaff.

This all started with the invention of the internet, and it has increased as tech has grown. People used to help and defend other people, now they just record to get clicks or views. People used to talk to each other about the weather, tv, events, advice, etc., now they just go on their phone. People are increasingly distant from each other, and we are social creatures. For your own sanity, don't give a crap. If you can't handle these interactions, just ignore them completely. Do what is best for you, try to find other things to enjoy.

As someone who also understands this, you also have to accept it as free speech in the world. Prohibition doesn't work. Getting good is the idea in the game. Sadly if we can't rise to this effect of mostly competitions and competitive players, another game may be a healthy choice for mental health. Even short term. Theres a few decent games to play to get breaks from destiny like the Just Cause series or Darksiders. Like the FPS you had Sniper Elite 4, etc as well. Theres a lot of players who dont care to get better and make excuses for their lack of trying. To other players who put hours and hours of trying to get better in, its insulting to advertise that a person can hold their own with a said group. Trials is a great example. You join a chill trials group and no one will care. Join a flawless title only group as a 0.4kd and dont be shocked if you are quickly replaced. Raids trigger me as so many will play 2 parts of a raid and then want to finish later that week. I want to play right then and say if they plan to leave dont stay. Others have deceitfully allowed these posers to join just to kick them as they get fed up with them too. So the frustration is reasonable on all sides. Blame destiny for not creating a better entry pool for new pvp players in my honest opinion. So many refuse to ever start pvp cause the skill gap is so massive. Iron banner and events seem to be the only time. I have even searched for clans that coach members that sincerely want to get better in pvp, havent found any that isn't full of favoritism and hardcore cliches. So truth is its the self responsibility for us to get good or accept the fate we are bestowed on. Truly the only way to get better is getting a higher precision rate of fire. Higher the precision the faster your kd will grow. Take recommended guns with a grain of salt, but dont dismiss the logic either. Thats what the vault is for. All kinds of things can help players be average enough to avoid these things, but bottom line is if you cant put the massive hours in to stay good, expect to be replaced even in the best scenarios. As a heavy pvp player having a child made me go back to pve a lot here. Time loss has greatly effected my overall stats and friends I once played relentlessly with. Today after name changes etc, Im lucky to get a fireteam going. So its not you as much as logic in any FPS game community. The more open the community can be the better it will be. Accept the toxicity as most need to learn it wont be stopped. If avoiding it helps, avoid it, but desiring it to disappear will never happen pragmatically.

Hey bro don’t take it personal , honor and love yourself like you do and surround yourself with people that will support what you want out of a friend. And if they don’t meet the standards you want you move on and don’t take anything negative they say to heart because they are not part of your life they have no idea who you are. Your the better person and you don’t deserve that in your life, there are good people out there just for you.

I understand it sucks, and you have my sympathy for the depressive state you’re in. However, this community is very ruthless and at the same time very helpful. You need to find those who are patient, even if it’ll take a while, but DONT expect everyone to be accepting of you either. Most people on the lfg are there to get in and out 90% of the time with zero tolerance of BS or hand holding. I’m sorry you got chewed up and spat out, but you gotta keep pushing until you find the right people or move onto another game. Don’t let this one community be the end of the world to you. It is just a game after all.

That sucks. I'd recommend blocking private messages and reporting them if you are getting hate mail. I personally don't care if I got a message but I can see why some people that don't like confrontation can feel bad. Hope it works out for you.

To be honest about half the community is litttle manchildren who cannot cope with things not going there way. lots of them have anger issues and throw temper tantrums like 2 yr olds. When looking groups join a discord group like dads of destiny or see if there are other neurodiverse player groups or join a clN u get on with. It will help also look for warning signs of toxicity anything with fast run muat use this loadout is probably going to be intense and may be toxic

This sucks to hear, I feel for you bud! It's never okay to bully or harass somebody, either online or IRL. As others have said in this thread, you should surround yourself with people that are accepting and patient with you. Join a clan that has a similar outlook on the game as you? Or join a clan that thrives on sherpa-ing new/less optimal players? The thing with LFG is that the people who post in such forums usually just want to get things done ASAP, and that's their right - it's important to state this. It's not okay to harass or bully a person as yourself, but you also need to know that these people don't owe you anything. They play the game as they like, and so should you! Not trying to be rude, but it's still important to address. Hope you're doing better now. There are people out there for you in this community!

They need each other for the loot. Sure, you'll have a laugh, maybe have a good time ingame. Talk about a new car they bought or about work and so forth. But it very rarely happens they meet in person and become real life friends. I've only heard about that a couple of times. They all know im seriously ill. But it would be a miracle to recieve a message how im doing. And i didnt expected they would. Its an online game. Some claim to be pilots for example, but could very well be in the same situation as you. I would suggest you either talk to [i]real[/i] friends, or other mrans to be able to talk someone proffesional But dont forget, besides the condition you have, its that time of the year too, to get depressed as soon as the leaves start falling of the trees. I’m sorry you went through that my man, nobody deserves being talked down to especially over a computer game. But don’t let a few self important twots spoil the game and community for you. I’m know through my years of gaming there are a lot of players that I’d rather not socialise with (putting it politely). But there are a few that are totally worth putting yourself out there to meet. I’ve made some really good friends through Destiny and even met my girlfriend of 3 years here playing Trials of all things. Just be selective and don’t waist your time and feelings on the bad ones.

I truly hate to hear how you have been treated.
