Trials is officially not playable as a solo anymore.
By Bungie gatekeeping their streamers to be able to run through solos and casuals, it seems like all of them left already.
Without the flawless pool, myself, a top 9 % elo player sitting in diamond with a 1,53 kd (2,08 kda) for trials ALL SOLO STATS, so i am not bad by any means, i lost 18 games and won 6 so far this weekend and my kd dropped to 1.06.
Your matchmaking is hot garbage. You match me with 1310 players and people who have a .38 kda and also often a missing teammate against absolute sweat stacks the whole time. Bungie, think for a second. The vast majority of players are casuals and average players revive the playlist. By gatekeeping your streamers and sweat stacks by listening to their "feedback" that the flawless pool is bad, you scare off the vast majority from trials again. LET THEM WORK FOR THEIR STUPID CARRY OFFERS.
And no, activating it on sunday reset, when the weekend is already over for the eastern area of the planet, is not the way.
How can a company not learn from their mistakes at all. You revive the playlist, people have fun for 3 weeks. Obvioulsy casuals will leave slowly after getting their loot. And yet you scare off the remaining casuals by putting them against stacks who went flawless 200+ times constantly. DO SOMETHING or the playlist is dead in 4 weeks, only having sweats in it again. NOT FUN.
EDIT: I attached a picture of one of my teammates i got today. We faced a 3 stack with 200+ flawlesses.

Solo queue exists as an introduction to solo players to simply bag the odd round and to find team mates. Its not bungies fault that most better players go in as a trio. How else would anybody win 7 games in a row? Surely you cant expect to go in solo and expect anything less than to lose in a mode where wins without losses grant greater rewards? You either go in solo, knowing you are very much at the mercy of having any skill level matched with you and knowing that you are choosing not to stand your best chance by not gathering a fire team with comms.... or you get a fireteam and communicate. Opening the flawless pool on sunday is a very fair compromise. Teams who are proactive have the first 48 hours, solo/ newer players dipping toes for the odd round win / lesser experienced get the latter 48 hours. Bungie said themselves that going in solo would be very tough. This aint bungies fault imo.

1 AntwortenI've said it before and I'll say it again, Bungie is creatively bunkrupt! They can't code a matchmaking system even if their lives depended on it. And I'm not asking for a a good matchmaking system - that requires skill from these developers - but a mediocre one. The problem is and always will be Bungie! They NEED to come out and tell us what they want to do with this mode. Is it for the "sweat lords"? Fine, remove solo players from the queue and let them have their precious mode. Is it for the rest of us? Then create an actuall matchmaking system that -blam!- works! That takes into account skill and and doesn't put stacks against solos. But then again, who am I kidding...This company still has P2P connection in 2021, instead of a server. Matchmaking system is too hard.

I've been waiting till Sunday night and Monday night. I feel like that rids the pool of most try hards. Been able to finish my card the last 3 weeks relatively quickly. And I have like 1.3 kad. I wish the progression for the rank system for the comp playlist could be like trials now. This is my main complaint. Stop removing my rank when I get losses, please. I was up to 2900 and now it's back to like 2000. ...

3 AntwortenBungie’s vision for endgame content has always been about the team experience. Trials is just another example. Bungie has made Trials rewarding for solo players as long as they are willing to sacrifice their enjoyment of the game and put up with losing - and losing big- 70 percent of the time. Trials needs solo players to fill out the population and keep the mode alive. This also means solo players effectively serve as fodder for full fireteams. Unless Bungie refreshes the Trials loot pool on a regular basis, solo players will drop off in greater numbers because they won’t value the rewards enough to endure this unsatisfying gameplay experience.

1 AntwortenNot one person trying to financially gain or just grow their streaming with carries absolutely does not care about going flawless.. They would just reset their cards or take an l on the card to avoid the flawless pool. There is always a work around especially when they can farm solos. It is the players mindsets that ruin mostly everything. Outside of a strictly solo player playlist., nothing can really be done. But I do give bungie credit for at least trying.. but from the last twab.. I feel like even they are tired of all the complaining already on all sides.

You should have farmed up all your Trials Loot the last 3 weeks. Especially on the Rank Bonus week. That's what I did as a Solo Player; stayed at win 7 and farmed all the best rolls I wanted. Now i don't have to touch this dumpster fire of a mode till they add new guns.

Those “stats” bungie was “so happy about” with first time trials players is complete BS. I never even finished my card to my recollection because their match making system had me against stacks of flawless players in teams of 2 or 3, more than half my games. The other half generally had solo que pairs of flawless emblem players. I’m -blam!- brand new!!! How the hell did I get constantly paired against these -blam!-!!!!

While I would probably argue and say you should probably find a team, I fully understand the frustration from this set of circumstances. My take, trials is simply not able to keep people in long term. Ascendant shards and prisms are (ironically) easier, less frustrating (in most cases, especially next week), and faster to get in master and gm nightfalls. In a rather surprising twist, trials engrams are SO easy to get, people don’t have to legitimately spend too much of their time getting non adept weapons and armor in trials. When people get what they want, why would they come back to a playlist they get slaughtered in? Adepts in it continue to gain a huge amount of traction with cheaters (now re-emerging), recovery operations, and paid carry services (which also probably use cheats and as far as I know, are NOT subject to penalty currently, despite making money off of bungies product). Adepts to maybe about… 90% of players are not worth the pain. Adepts won’t entice people of most skill ranges if they’re not boggled down to being easily available, which destroys the value and pisses off the pvp community. Most trials loot has very little value in pve, and the ones that are are stupidly easy to grind a normal roll for. Pve mains won’t stay virtually any time in the long run. And one or two new weapons every season can probably be obtained with a desired roll in less then a single week. Where does this leave the mode? Dead. All these reasons above will continue to drive engagement down every week. But to be honest, even I didn’t expect for this process to happen SO QUICKLY in the season. But I suppose I can’t really make judgement, since I’ve made the choice NOT to play a single game for health concerns.

I'm on ranking Heroic II (mostly from losses. I can't even count how many games I've played and lost since the matchmaking is terrible, and I'm just with TWO victories since trials got back. It's extremely frustrating that I won't get that 7 wins because of a terrible matchmaking.

Half of those games I carried my team and they got a win because of me. That's just how it is. (Did this Friday as well)

That teammate of yours is the “average” player in most QP matches 😂 Theyre terrible in 6’s where there’s more stuff to shoot, and the their lack of skill is only brought out more in 3v3 high stakes game mode. The mode is Definitely not meant for that guy. If you can’t average a 1.0k/d (not KDA) in 6’s then trials is definitely not for you.

I want Trials to succeed but it is really for coordinated teams. It needs freelance or it will be the same every week. I have never been flawless and probably never will and may play trials again with freelance.

If you're using destiny tracker to check your stats in trials it's showing false negative stats at the moment.
