4 AntwortenBungie intentionally changed it to class-specific to increase playtime. For the same reason, Bungie also intentionally removed the ability for people running 3 of the same class to power-level faster. I'd love to see it change, but I don't think it will.

This was a thing in D1, but for everyone saying "leveling up would be too easy"? I can't see how you forgot the game you are playing and the company creating it 😄
-
1 AntwortenI agree. Especially since they got rid of the armor set within the season pass. I used to use those to level my side hoes.

How about just turn the game on and you’re leveled up.

8 AntwortenThe replies here are amazing. Imagine being so elitist that you can’t stand people with 9 to 5 jobs getting to max light...

Destiny 1 had this and was awesome. I remember being so disapointed when I realized I couldn't do it in D2...
-
As someone who grinds a lot, I really would love to see this change implemented.

2 AntwortenThis goes without saying. They only took it away from D1 to D2 to further artificially inflate the time investment. Any response to the contrary is blindly ignorant or simply trolling.

I'd love to be able to swap out elemental mods on weapons again as well, like we had year one.

2 AntwortenI'm just going to say it. Not for the first time. There is now so much to do. So much to grind. So much to work for. *sigh* it's time for power level to stop being the end game. Cross transfusion doesn't need to come back. It's just time that weapons start doing what they do and we forget about the largely empty number that serves only to restrict you from certain content. The only function it now serves is to act as a barrier to new and returning players. A frustration to stand in their way. The levels of night fall should be to help you find the what difficulty vs reward balance is right for you, but an arbitrary figure for adding 1 or 2 points to your power level. If power level just disappeared people would keep right on grinding away because there's more than enough to do without it. But yes. I suppose. Cross class transfusion is at least a step in the right direction.

Bungie buries their guns/armor acquisition in supposed “RNG”. It is obviously a lie. They try everything to slow progression. There are two perfect examples. Example #1 - They used to have infusion where the gear you infused only gave you an average of the two pieces of gear. It made it nearly impossible to hit max level. Everyone hated it, so they had to get rid of it. Example #2 - Bungie made it so you could only infuse weapons of the same type, such as auto rifles into auto rifles. This was a bridge too far for most players snd they had to abandon that as well. Now, they just use a clandestine RNG system that drags out your progression as long as possible. Anyone paying attention knows it’s mathematically impossible for you to receive 7 helmets in row for example when a helmet is the only piece of gear you “don’t” need. This is Bungie RNG at its finest. It is actually fiction at best.

6 AntwortenI think this would be great. One of my biggest problems with playing multiple characters is having to the power level grind for all 3. It kept me from playing my Titan and Warlock for years, and still does to a certain extent. While the alt-characters are easier to level than the original, it still takes quite a bit of extra time. It’s not like power grinding is even fun or engaging to begin with so this would be a welcome change in my book. Is it something that’s desperately needed? Probably not, but it would be nice to have eventually.

They won’t do it because they the play time wouldn’t as high lol. I do wish I’d come back though.
-
Used to be a thing, but the reason it’s not anymore is because I could get 3 characters at the same level of my main character simply from blues from the main, severely reduces the grind, as well as playtime of players, harming the game, so from a business perspective, they won’t reduce our grind

Bearbeitet von Darth Lunchbox: 10/6/2021 4:14:30 PMJust one of many great things that some numbskull at Bungie thought was a good ideal to leave behind from D1. It's all about the play time and the false content they call grind.
-
3 AntwortenIt was a thing early in d2 just like in d1, then bungie changed it. All to make the game more of a grind.

100% I feel like every season so far I have needed certain armor pieces on each class to hit max light, but of course would only get them on the other classes. I imagine this season will be no different

Nah, fam.

1 AntwortenThey give you so many avenues to raise your light level. You really don’t need to be this sweaty for infusion.
