In my opinion the catalyst should go something like this:

I know we already have a hunter exotic that does this, but imagine using both to significantly boost your melee.

Nah, just a boost to markov chain length would be fine. It's already pretty great in both pve and pvp.

Definitely! I play very up-close and melee-centric so Monte Carlo is a dear friend to me. Longing for the day it gets a catalyst, pretty much regardless of what it does.

Here’s and idea. -[u]Last resort,[/u] precision damage increases the damage of this stacking up to 10. When fully stacked holding reload causes you tighten the bayonet on the front of the weapon. After tightening, you are able to use the weapon as a melee weapon using your charged melee for increased damage of the weapon. Each kill with the bayonet charges your melee.

1 AntwortenI got a better one Markov Chain time greatly extended and melees with Markov Chain active use the bayonet for massively increased damage at the cost of your melee charge.

It should change your uncharged melee to use the blade on the front and kills with the blade recharge melee ability or the lowest ability. I think it should be melee but I don’t mind the second option either.

If nothing else, give me a special finisher when using it. BF1 bayonet charge would be nice.

Monte Carlo needs a melee damage buffing perk in order to complete it’s identity as a melee build gun (and free up your energy slot so you don’t have to use a One-Two Punch Shotgun all the time). If the buff had a long enough duration, or just persisted until your next charged melee hit, then it could synergize very well with Peregrine Greaves which, currently, cannot benefit from One-Two Punch and thus are practically useless compared to Synthocepts. I would be a fool, however, if I forgot to add that [b][i]THE GUN HAS A BAYONET, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE IT.[/i][/b] (Just making it overtake the base melee, not the charged one, would be nice)
