I am not new to this game (1100+hours) and in my opinion, PvP is awful, still.
Yes, I am awful at it, but why is it so hard to match me with someone with my skill level? OR, offer PvE alternative to quests.
I am so tired of wasting time trying to capture damn zones just to be 1 tapped in the face by someone 100 times my skill. These big leaguers have zero business playing with a little leaguer like me. I know I am not the only one who feels like this as I have seen posts on several websites and in my previous clans, half the people wouldn't do Crucible at all.
So why is this still an issue?

Bearbeitet von Sohsuh: 10/4/2021 4:48:47 PMThe game needs proper lobby balancing and dedicated servers. It could be so good if Bungie cared about it. With Battlefield, New World, Halo Infinite. This game is just looking worse and worse.

1 AntwortenI don't mind playing Banner for a week and stuff for the easy 4 pinnacles but I really hate the catalyst quests like Ticuu's bow where you are required to kill a bunch of guardians with it. Just lame for something you'll never use in PvP besides that quest. Bungie just sucks at quest and bounty design for the most part.

Bearbeitet von Whopping Dingers: 10/4/2021 7:26:01 PMIts bad because shotgun handcannon still are the most viable options. Shotguns require no skill and distort all the play. The maps promote low skill play rather than gun fights. Additionally it feels more cod like than ever.

You are awful at it, but for some reason you expect it to get better. If you don’t get better, it will always be the same for you.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Asylum: 10/3/2021 1:51:30 PMWell, your biggest problem is people that feel they should get easy wins because theyre "top 1%" and cried to get SBMM removed because "every match was sweaty and they had to try hard" which is the point of any PvP game. But it made content harder to create therefore hurting the content creators wallets which in turn hurt bungies because the game wasnt getting promoted. Basically PvP has always catered to the elites because money. After that you have a horrible P2P connection on top of terrible hybrid servers that has the client host virtually everything unlike other game where the sever hosts most of the game and the client typically does things like particle effects and debris. Then to add to that you have no region locking. In causal PvP i can understand but all competitive modes should have region locking. And even then theres no reason in causals that im matching people literally on the other side of the world from me that do nothing but lag. I dont care about peoples clans/friends, stability should come first, and matching me with players that lag and wont take damage isnt stable. Then theres balancing. Bungie hasnt been able to balance crucible since D1. Theres ALWAYS been broken metas (like shotguns) and OP weapon/armor (OEM nightmares anyone?). On top of that bungie also doesnt 100% seperate the PvE and PvP sandboxes so when they balance one it effects the other. Also bungie doesnt know the deffinition of balance so when they do "balance" it either breaks the game completely or takes such a massive nerf it would have just been better to remove/disable whatever it was until it can be fixed because whatever it was is no longer usable anywhere. So combine all of this, throw in some salt, and tada; you have crucible.

try elimination or comp then it is always sbmm there
-
Reasons: -Bad connection -Bad hit detection on some abilities - poor MM - The constant lack of balance. That’s it. The poor MM doesn’t get to me much anymore but the hit detection is a huge pain point.

Just saw a few Lagswitch cheaters!
-
23 AntwortenBecause they removed SBMM and replaced it with CBMM back in season of the worthy.
-
1 AntwortenI'm of the opinion that the removal of SBMM really messed up the matchmaking algorithm.
-
2 AntwortenThey just need to implement a soft skill-based matchmaking system that keeps the top tier players away from people that struggle. There is no reason that a 0.5 KD player should be in the same game as someone with 3.0KD. It doesn't have to be as strict as it was when they last implemented it but just narrow the ranges a little.
-
1 AntwortenThey sucked the life out of any average or below average players in this game and most of us left. When the system caters to the top 10% only, eventually the 90% will find a game that’s actually fun.
-
I only do 3 and out on crucible for the pinnacle, and hardly care what happens while I'm there. Same with gambit. Same with strikes. Once I'm at max base I don't bother with IB, and I don't touch trials. I'm not a bad PvP player, I just don't put much for effort into it. To be honest the matchmaking in this game is to blame. SBMM or CBMM? Which one was more important? Neither. Even the strikes and gambit matchmaking in this game is weird. Either your doing all the work, or you get clueless warriors that don't understand what battle strategy is.

I’ve been playing for years and I’m still shite haha 😂
-
The problem with PvP in destiny is that it’s all about magical abilities. By utilizing the most op magic, actual gun skill can be bypassed. It’s like welfare for people who suck at the game. A bailout in a sense. People who are good with guns get mad with those who crutch abilities and vice versa. I suggest if people are looking for a PvP experience that is on an even playing field to try halo infinite when it comes out
-
3 AntwortenThere is no changes Bungie can make that will suddenly make you better at the game. Either practice more or just leave it alone.
-
To be honest, D1 and D2 MM is terrible. I’m a decent pvp player and pvp really isn’t that fun. Getting matched up against parties of 3 + people while my team only gets ransoms never ends well. One thing I do know is that bungle doesn’t care about the players opinion and never will.
-
4 AntwortenYour point (specifically the one about being confused and/or frustrated about being matched against players who are way out of your league) is one I've been making repeatedly here in the forum for some time. I wish you better luck than I seem to have had in getting Bungie's attention. For me, I don't really care if I end up winning that much; I'm just tired of being a passenger in stomp-fest after stomp-fest (either watching my teammates stomp the opponents, or getting stomped), since that isn't fun. But I don't know if many others share this sentiment.
-
It's because those big leagues cried so much about fighting people at there own skill level because they had to work for every kill. So bungie removed it so they can crap on people like you
-
2 Antworteni don’t like having low ranked players in my lobbies, it just makes solo queuing annoying bc i can never trust anyone on my team to win a 1v1 fight.
-
118 AntwortenBecause you have a generation of shooter gamers who think their reward for getting good is being allowed to kick the crap out of weaker players. They either don’t realize (or don’t care) that this destroys the game.
-
Bungo r incompetent.
-
2 AntwortenWhy do people that barely play pvp come and make posts crying about pvp? I’ll never understand that…..
-
The matchmaking is by defaut set to cross play. You can switch it off for the time you play pvp. My personal experience is that matchmaking with other PS players is clearly more balanced than playing with a mix. At times cross play suffers from severe lag and games are oftern mercied.
-
Because they do they bare minimum and all the fanboys eat it up…
-
Try playing comp, pretty sure that’s skill based match making
