Full mag refill is a bit too easy for pvp, no downtime in right hands. Extending the timer to 15 sec is crazy long, you essential make it a super powerful 3 shot kill for long periods of time, plus if you get 2 remnants you already have 10sec. It's already doing dmg ticks that give away locations behind walls and prevent health regens & revives.

Plus you have to retrieve the Remnant on a kill to reload automatically. 3) It’s not changing the damage or number of ticks just the amount of [i]time[/i] you can shoot stuff with increased DoT ticks. I’m not sure what’s so bad about any of it. Edit: Also, aren’t 140’s already 3 headshot kills? It would drop it to 2 crits and a body? Is that so bad for an Exotic?

Yeah I understand your request and it's the devourer time not ticks. I'm generally more okay with the full reload, but the amount of time to 15sec is just blatantly too strong. Doesn't matter if it's an exotic, bungie has never said exotics should be strong, they have said they should feel different. They nerfed Luna howl and not forgotten because they were easy 3 shots, providing way less perks than thorn does right now. With the devourer buff it's powerful but only for a short time now, similar to kill clip or rampage with the rampage mod. That's good enough.

I guess we just agree to disagree, which is fine. Just seems like a waste to make the catalyst do only something it arguably always should have done (full mag refill). Feels like it could use something else too. If not an extended timer, I’d hope something like a range buff.

I don’t know if you play PC or console, can’t speak for PC, but I don’t see Thorn all that much on console. Usually when I do, I’m not intimidated. Again, this is perception so it means basically nothing, but.
