Anarchy is loved, maybe too loved, but that isn't an excuse to kill it.
We don't need more exotics that waste away in the vault.
Weapon diversity problems are compounded when we arrive at the nerf and it is contributing to the issue instead of resolving it.
What we need more of:
Have more complex, strategic, and exciting battles with space (distance).
No we don't want to slam orbs.
No we don't want stomp mechanics.
At times, you've gotten it right (and is evident in some raid encounters), so someone clearly gets it.
Combined with the ammo loss, 30% feels like an extreme.
Let's meet in the middle, 15% vs bosses for the season.
Start thinking about ways to increase complex, strategic and exciting battles that allow for other weapons to shine.
Why not crowd source it?
If Anarchy is still dominate, we can re-assess before the end of the next season (so you can prepare prior to the following season).
I am giving you the ammo, though I think that is extreme too (there is no reason to drop the ammo even further, it's already a fair compromise).

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von DeathPony07: 8/20/2021 4:13:57 AMNo, it isn't. The streamers who use the same gear or subclasses for endgame 24/7 and then complain about them being OP are the problem. Just use something else. It's not the gear's/subclass's fault that you've done every raid a thousand times and now the game is too easy for you. Not everyone has a team of experts to play with.

2 AntwortenI’ve spent whole glassway boss clears without a single anarchy shot for the entire boss fight cause adds are few. 26 felt like the minimum to fight off certain GMs. 16 will be the real nerf. And now with infinite primary, you won’t be able to use pity ammo on your favor. Add the damage increased against bubble and well. And oh boi next GMs will be HAAARD
-
What’s wrong with you guys? They didn’t KILL anarchy it’s still going to melt champions and be area denial it just won’t also melt bosses
-
Imo biggest issue is ammo vs boss health. I don’t want to primary poke bosses but special/heavy total damage at max reserves doesn’t cut it in most weapons. For sense of scale anarchy did about 4 times the total damage of a large portion of other heavies. Witherhoard is next as an FYI because that also is about 4-5 times higher than other specials. Primaries pretty much could benefit from a global 20-30% pve damage buff across the board or some form of perk that buffs damage for consistent hits with them so it doesn’t feel so bad to be out of special/heavy. This is less of an issue on lower end content than stuff like GM’s where if you and most of your team are out of special/heavy it’s pretty much game over unless you have a super handy that drops one of the ammo bricks.

2 AntwortenSaw a Video where a whole Raid team used 1K Voices on Templar and only got him down to like ~50%. That’s why people used anarchy, because other weapons suck.
-
10 Antworten30% is way too much, totally agree. They should have reduced to 20 ammo, -15% on bosses.

2 AntwortenWhat they’re nerfing anarchy? dang i was going to farm just to get it

Bearbeitet von COMBATICUS: 8/21/2021 6:48:37 AMPersonally what I think is those that were using it, where with their close/tight group and never with randoms. That's why some of us here say we never saw anyone use it. And that's true, I'm one of those who hardly ever seen anyone use it. But the moment breach and clear came? "BOOM" everyone has it in their slot. Again not saying it wasnt good before BnC , it just wasnt being used by EVERYONE. And those who had em ran with friends and clan mates. Breach and clear def made the gun shine even more and on bungies end, It was being used too much. I guess it is, what it is, the nerf is coming, no need to be upset or argue with one another. I do think the nerf is abit on the heavy side but I expected that. Bungie doesnt nerf things slightly they either over nerf things and butcher it, or make it too strong.
-
26 AntwortenThe only reason anarchy was dominant was because of breach and clear. Before the addition of breach and clear the gun saw almost no use.
-
you are right anarchy wasn't the problem it was every guardian using it to cheese that was the problem and why bungie nerfed it.

7 AntwortenAnarchy is one of the best weapons, if not the best weapon to grace the destiny franchise (yes, I'd go as far to say it's better than gjallerhorn). And it's been as strong as its been for almost 3 years now. Very surprised it lasted as long as it did. And even with its nerf, it isn't getting killed. It's surprising that they aren't killing it. Its still going to be a top tier choice for endgame activies simply because of its champion killing capabilities. You'll just have to spec for at least 1 reserve mod now.
-
Exactly. Honestly… the weapons were getting pretty strong for a bit. When we had xeno, Izanagis, divinity and anarchy all viable. We seem to be taking a step back towards mess powerful weapons and more plinking like gameplay now. That will be felt hard in GMs. Same with super regen exotics.
-
Anarchy was the problem.
-
I thought they said; they are giving the way ammo drop mods work, making them more consistent? Regardless of the ammo nerf, this should help. You’ll max out at 21 and more heavy will drop. 31 rounds was a bit excessive.
-
anarchy was a problem, now its shouldnt be the go to in literally every possible scenario ever. I’m glad i dont have to equip the same weapon for endgame content because it gets boring using the same weapon over and over again.
-
It wasn’t killed.
-
1 it’s been a meta for 2 years 2 it was kinda dodging nurfs all of shadowkeep and beyond light so far I kinda want to use sleeper on raid bosses senice they buffed it 3 anarchy has become the galjhorn of D2
-
They didn't kill anything. 30% nerf against ONLY bosses isn't that bad. It was a do everything with no downside exotic hvy weapon. It needed to be brought down.
-
You can’t use it on raid bosses for optimal dps. Everything else is good. How is it dead? For solo play you can still tag a boss and kite it. The nerf they did was actually entirely reasonable and it’ll still be top of its game just not for raid bosses
-
5 AntwortenThat nerf is fine and perhaps even a little too kind to the gun.
-
Anarchy didn't die I will still use it in GM and everything it's just less strong against boss it's not bad against boss. It's still really strong against champion and you still have plenty of ammo in the gun
-
9 AntwortenOne could argue anarchy is the reason so many exotics wither away in vault currently? Huh see a little devils avocado here 😉
-
3 AntwortenAnarchy was hands down busted, literally the best choice for DPS, now it'll still be good for sure, but it won't be as dominant anymore. I'd say a lot of people will still use it for double slugs but we might finally see some new DPS combos now.
-
18 AntwortenOh it was absolutely a problem. It was free and easy to apply tick damage on tanky enemies to keep damage going while also using other weapons, and could easily spawntrap low level ads out of the gate while you dealt with bigger threats. The reserve ammo was also very generous as even breechload (special) GLs didn't get that much ammo without reserve mods. Unless the enemy was shielded or too far away (or you were playing in the Crucible), there was little reason to NOT use it whether in low level activities or high end. While I cannot say if the planned nerfs are overdoing it, as I want to test out Anarchy after they launch to see how it feels then, they could have certainly done worse if they wanted to genuinely kill the weapon. In the meantime, it's still good against Champions where it will most likely still see regular use.

4 AntwortenWe’ve had more complicated content. This community has some fear and hatred for anything not mind numbingly easy, or the kind of stuff anarchy excels at dealing with. Pretty dogshit weapon for burst dps, Hezen absolutely nuts all over anarchy at burst but I bet we don’t get another burst encounter for anything for another year
-
Wouldn't be so bad if scavengers worked. In GMNF's it's either too many to pick up or 2 or 3 for the whole run.
