Nothing to help with. Disabling cross save imposed an automatic 90 day cooldown before it can be reactivated. That’s why there were at least 2-3 steps to confirm each account was the correct one(s) linked.

seems like a huge penalty for a mistake.

That’s exactly why there are multiple confirmation/affirmation steps along the way. At this point, it’s not really a mistake but an action.

so i linked my old steam account with 0 games purchased on it, and one that i havent used in years on purpose? Mistake means i didnt mean to do it, my old steam was saved in my computer as a quick login. this post is made for people to be helpful. do not post if you are not going to be.

Again….I’ll repeat….it may have been an initial mistake linking the wrong account. However, you had multiple other chances to recognize that & correct it before activating cross save. That didn’t happen, so now you have to go through the process in place (disable cross save, change the linked accounts, wait 90 days) before you can reactivate cross save.

That is a ridiculous wait, no one in their right mind should wait 90 days to play a game they have dumped hours of their live into. let alone the money also dumped into it. thank you for the replies anyways.

It is a security measure for both Bungie & the players. You can still play on that linked account, but just not with the character data you were hoping to with cross save.
