I have played on pc with a controller since destiny was on pc. I gotta say, controller users are going to be at a massive disadvantage without traction and fastball. The disadvantage comes from pc players having full 180 advantage without a mod like traction AND the ability for pc players to run double scavenger mods. Fastball is also a must, its not like a mouse able to flick a grenade for an instant toss, controllers cant move that fast to adjust and readjust. Controller players are forced to yet again use another slot in order to have just a bit more consistency without getting deleted. The sandbox is nowhere near the same compared to console here on pc. Hand cannons are meta for a massive reason and thats their ease of use, last word is the only hand cannon a console player can use against a mouse but thats about it. Console players should not expect to go into pc thinking their hand cannons are gonna out play a palindrome for example. I have to sometimes switch to mouse whenever I pick up heavy machine gun ammo because it has literally zero recoil and allows me to basically map other players. Its impossible to land shots with machine guns when using controllers at really far ranges. Aim assist can only help so much. Anyway there are far more advantages a mouse has over what a controller can provide, I’m concerned for controller players trying to play with their pc friends. Im gonna say it right now, its miserable trying to use a controller, unless you are willing to put in 2x more work than a mouse user the same way I do, I highly recommend you guys stay away from pvp. If someone at bungie reads this, I know some changes are coming but nothing is gonna change unless console overall gets buffs to even barely compete vs mouse.
