Does anybody at all have any suggestions where a dude/ dudette can get news and entertainment that isn’t opinion pieces and click bait bullshizzle?
Fücking Sports anal lysts are almost the worst. Nobody gives a single heck as to what you think man. Give me the stats and let me make my own damn decision. Why the heck aren’t you working for the team if you’re going that deep? The average putz out in the world doesn’t care about what you think. If they did there wouldn’t be Cubs fans.
Rage face.

I don't even have cable, satellite, or antenna TV. I don't watch any TV or movies. I will sometimes dabble on YouTube because if I don't like something I can block them.
I play games.
RefDesk has more links to more news sources than anyone else. They have all the world's major newspapers and news outlets, including Reuters, UPI and the AP. Of course they have tons of crap too so you'll have to filter through it. I'm getting to where I don't do as much news. It gets depressing.

BBC tends to be less biased and click-baity in my experience. Not sure what they’re like with foreign affairs though since I have less access to other sources on that.

There’s a website that finds two articles about similar topics, written by news sources with different political views, and tries to remove the political bias and leave only straight facts.

Subscribe to a newspaper. That’s the only place where you’re going to find the kind of journalism that you’re seeking these days. Just abou the everything else is “infotainment”. Designed to entertain under the guise of “informing”. If cost is an issue, try getting news from the wire services like AP (Associated Press), and Reuters. Axios is trying to get there, but doesn’t have the resources…yet. The wire services are a purer form of journalism that don’t operated under the corporate commercial pressures to get circulation, ratings, and to hold onto advertisers that distort newspapers and especially cable news. They are where I go when when I want get a 30,000 ft view of things that is relatively free of bias, and sensationalism.

I like reasontv on YouTube because it’s just facts and no BS, especially pertaining to controversial issues in the US like guns and coronavirus.
