Sorry for being a d*ck here but Jesus f'ing Christ does crucible suck right now Bungie, how did you manage to mess it up that bad seriously!!!???
80% of my control matches I end up in a losing team because matchmaking decides to -blam!- me over every single time.. so that's only 1 in five matches I actually win. And most of those matches are mercy matches.. so I wonder... What's the point in playing anymore?
Also before people start saying 'get gud' or lame stuff like that... That's not even the issue, I'm on a decent k/d and whatever. The issue is the balance in this dumb system and it pisses people off.
End of rant.
An angry destiny player.

Top 6% here. Crucible has been in a downward trend for a while. The meta is bad, hacking is more and more common each day, and Bungie still says nothing. Trials is just terrible, with 0-0 cards being matched with 8-0 cards, along with the massive problem (that bungie cant see yet we can) of people either win trading or ddosing to have 7 0-0 games in a row each week. Stasis is still mechanically broken, the ttk is getting faster, and nothing has been done to the meta in far too long. 600 days without a new crucible map doesn't help either. My advice? Stop playing. I have, and it's done me wonders.

1 AntwortenIt's because Bungie believes the Best Player in the lobby deserves to get 3/4 worst players in the lobby. While the second best player get 50% of the top 6 best players.

3 AntwortenSadly....Trials of Osiris prove the whole point with PvP.... less than 1% of the player base bother with it, so all you get are the hackers and sweats. The average player has no chance to even get the 3 win run for 1 item, never mind a flawless. PLUS .... Bungie in their infinite wisdom, make you HAVE to PvP to complete quest, bounties, weapons and even Catalysts, but they wont implement a good anti-cheat. So... basically, unless you really have to, stay away from it and let the PvP player base dwindle enough to make Bungie do something about it, then again they do nothing with Trials and its less than 1% ....

1 AntwortenEverything is completely unbalanced from a matchmaking point. I'm fairly good, decent KD and don't really have "bad" games, but when the iffy ones come around they come around hard. There have been a ton of matches where my team will absolutely annihilate, roll into a different lobby and it's like no one has ever played the game before on either side. Not sure if its servers or just the player pool as a whole. D1 games always felt at least somewhat balanced, or consistently enjoyable to some extent. D2 matches are just full blown awful or you're basically God, no in-between whatsoever.

Bearbeitet von Jamestown01010: 7/19/2021 3:09:17 AMI was trying to do bounties today in control and the mercies were worse than Iron Banner. I didn’t know that was even possible but here we are. Crucible could actually be fun with some minor changes. I still remember epic matches from D1 years ago when it used to be fun. Seems Bungie doesn’t care. This next expansion will be the first one I’m not buying since the game came out. PVE has become a grueling grind.

Bungie won’t fix PvP until Halo Infinite Multiplayer comes out and Bungie starts bleeding PvP players rabidly. Lack of Competition is what’s keeping Bungie Lazy.
-
Million dollar idea here... Just don't play crucible?
-
1 AntwortenI always try to play well no matter who is on my team. As long as I walk away with a positive KD I'm good.
-
Yeah the lobby balancing has been atrocious this season especially. I could drop 40-50 defeats, have the most captures, and still lose a match lmao it’s crazy.
-
I've come to realize that crucible is Bungie's way of testing weapons and abilities. I have a feeling that certain weapons are going to be reigned in again over the next year. They are probably going to overhaul Crucible again as well and is just keeping quiet about it until changes are ready for reveal.

4 AntwortenThe biggest problem with the crucible, is that it simply does not attract a large enough player base to have healthy matchmaking. It won’t matter if it’s sbmm or cbmm either. The top to mid tier players leave with sbmm, but the ones that remain will eventually get consistent easy games (but pretty long wait times in orbit). And with cbmm, it’s a stomp fest, and the lower tier and eventually as the skill gap widens, more skill tiers leave. Point is, if there are not enough people of ALL skill tiers, there is absolutely NO way the matchmaking or the playlist can stay healthy and will continue to lose more people as time goes on.

12 AntwortenThe real issues here are blueberries crawling up your ass hole and trying to make out with you the whole match!

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kalyx triaD: 7/17/2021 9:40:25 PMWhat are you asking them to fix? Your win/loss record??

2 AntwortenAre you on ps5? Also, you have a win rate of over 50 this season so it's definitely not 1 in 5 wins.

Lobby balancing is a real motha.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Sweet Lew 88: 7/18/2021 4:09:23 AMIf you are trying to win, just having a decent KD isnt good enough. Control is an objective game. Are you trying to hold onto 2 zones, three zones can be bad because spawns start flipping. Are you helping keep team mates alive? Teammates not dying robs the enemy team of points. When i'm trying to win, i usually have bubble titan with suppressor grenades. Helps holding zones with the bubble and tall wall. Free orbs for the team when i spawn the bubble. Suppressor grenades can rob the enemy team of supers. Witherhorde can be good for keeping zones or closing pinch points. I have a 51% lifetime win percentage over 4600+ games played, mostly solo queue. I've been told that i'm not skilled also....

1 AntwortenI agree with you man. You have a good reason to be angry. The matchmaking in the crucible is totally broken. Thank you for posting. Ignore some of the dumb responses below, suggesting you are the problem. What’s fascinating is how the roving band of the vocal minority will seek us out, gang up and bully us with illogical arguments. They’ll call us “entitled”, “afraid”, “babied”, etc. (The most entertaining are the passive-aggressive comments.) Apparently, it’s highly offensive to ask for fair competition…

And with the changes they are doing to the ranking system (in this week's TWAB) shows that they are not doing anything about fixing PvP. They are just changing the way you rank up to time spent within PvP rather than win/losses counting.

Bearbeitet von Spectra: 7/18/2021 1:05:59 AMMy biggest problem with the game are the connection issues. I can have matches where my bullets/projectiles don’t register or do only half the damage and my aim assist feels like it does not exist and then in the following match everything is feeling very snappy and I manage to hit almost every shot.
-
bungie has no idea how to handle pvp they been spouting a "renewed focus" on pvp every yearly expansion and it gets worse time after time.
-
Sorry for being a d*ck here but Jesus f'ing Christ does crucible suck right now Bungie, how did you manage to mess it up that bad seriously!!!???
Why the -blam!- do people self-censor when the dicks who designed this website have already made a censor. ON TOPIC PvP is never be fixed or balanced in anyway. Best you can do is to not care about K/D and W/L

1 AntwortenSame here, I mostly play 3v3 so getting 2 numbskulls makes it hard to win. I've had games where I drop a 3 kd with 18 kills and still lose because my teammates weren't any help

Bearbeitet von Absolute-Dog: 7/18/2021 4:52:28 AMPersonally, being new to D2, I have found that Crucible MM varies pretty much the same way it did in D1. Sometimes you play with teammates and get good runs until you match another good team, then it becomes a real series of matches. Sometime you get a series of randoms that aren't helping. I typically play with randoms and take what I get and play through the match. It is the nature of matchmaking.....always has been. Being an dedicated Elim player, unless chasing some quest, I find satisfaction in both winning and just playing well in my own right - regardless of winning. I have had some real shit runs with randoms and do get frustrated at times, but I accept MM with randoms for what it is. I'm still leaning the maps, strategy for map control and weapons, and adapting to how the randoms play. Sometimes I move quick to gain area control, sometimes I let less experienced players draw the other team out then try to clean up kills. Sometimes I'm the one that sucks. From what I see, D2 like D1 challenges your ability to improve, adapt and acquire weapons that suit your style of play. I play for the competition, I play for fun and I play for the distraction that games provide. It's just my opinion, but if this or any game is really causing you so much anxiety, take a break. If you can't, it must mean you like the game enough to keep going. There will always be better players, always be those who cheat and always be those randoms that make you say WTF. Accept it or move on. Join a clan and find a group that meshes with your style of play. I hope you find a way to enjoy the game more. Send me a friend request and see if we play well together.

And more Crucible maps!

1 AntwortenMaybe you're the issue 😉

2 AntwortenSomething seems to have shifted today. No telling what, but you did seem to have quit out of more than a couple of matches at the beginning of the day. So you have that on top of the fact that you are probably playing frustrated, which also isn't going to help. I actually had a similar losing streak so there's really no telling what it is seeing as how there's so many changes taking place heading into next season.
